அவ்விடத்தைவிட்டு, தேவனை வணங்குகிறவனாகிய யுஸ்து என்னும் பேருள்ள ஒருவனுடைய வீட்டிற்கு வந்தான்; அவன் வீடு ஜெபஆலயத்திற்கு அடுத்ததாயிருந்தது.

அப்பொழுது தியத்தீரா ஊராளும் இரத்தாம்பரம் விற்கிறவளும் தேவனை வணங்குகிறவளுமாகிய லீதியாள் என்னும் பேருள்ள ஒரு ஸ்திரீ கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தாள்; பவுல் சொல்லியவைகளைக் கவனிக்கும்படி கர்த்தர் அவள் இருதயத்தைத் திறந்தருளினார்.

கொலோசேயர் 4:11
யுஸ்து என்னப்பட்ட இயேசுவும் வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லுகிறான். விருத்தசேதனமுள்ளவர்களில் இவர்கள் மாத்திரம் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தின்பொருட்டு என் உடன்வேலையாட்களாயிருந்து, எனக்கு ஆறுதல் செய்துவந்தவர்கள்.

அவன் தேவபக்தியுள்ளவனும் தன்வீட்டாரனைவரோடும் தேவனுக்குப் பயந்தவனுமாயிருந்து, ஜனங்களுக்கு மிகுந்த தருமங்களைச் செய்து, எப்பொழுதும் தேவனை நோக்கி ஜெபம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.

அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நீதிமானும், தேவனுக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவரும், யூதஜனங்களெல்லாராலும் நல்லவரென்று சாட்சி பெற்றவருமாகிய கொர்நேலியு என்னும் நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி உம்மைத் தம்முடைய வீட்டுக்கு அழைப்பித்து, உம்மால் சொல்லப்படும் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்கும்படி பரிசுத்த தூதனால் தேவயத்தனமாய்க் கட்டளைபெற்றார் என்றார்கள்.

அவர்கள் யூதருடைய ஜெபஆலயத்திலிருந்து புறப்படுகையில், அடுத்த ஓய்வுநாளிலே இந்த வசனங்களைத் தங்களுக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டும் என்று புறஜாதியார் வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

அப்போஸ்தலர் 17:4
அவர்களில் சிலரும், பக்தியுள்ள கிரேக்கரில் திரளான ஜனங்களும், கனம்பொருந்திய ஸ்திரீகளில் அநேகரும் விசுவாசித்து, பவுலையும் சீலாவையும் சேர்ந்துகொண்டார்கள்.
