ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் அரசாளும்போது தம்முடைய பாதத்தினால் எறிந்துபோட்ட சகல பணிமுட்டுகளையும் முஸ்திப்பாக்கிப் பரிசுத்தமபண்ணினோம்; இதோ, அவைகள் கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது என்றார்கள்.

ஆகாஸ் அரசாளும்போது அவன் தேவனுக்கு உண்மையுள்ளவனாக இல்லாமல் ஆலயத்தில் உள்ள பல பொருட்களை வெளியில் எறிந்தான். இப்போது நாங்கள் சுத்தப்படுத்தி பரிசுத்தமாகப் பயன்படுகிற அளவிற்கு ஆலயத்தின் உள்ளேԔ வைத்துவிட்டோம். இப்போது அவை கர்த்தருடைய பலி பீடத்தின் எதிரில் உள்ளது” என்றனர்.
