எப்படியெனில், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாப் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்துக்கு என்னோடே வருகீறீரா என்று கேட்டதற்கு, அவன்: நான்தான் நீர், என்னுடைய ஜனங்கள் உம்முடைய ஜனங்கள், உம்மோடேகூட யுத்தத்திற்கு வருகிறேன் என்றான்.

ஆகாப் யோசபாத்திடம், “கிலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்துக்கு என்னோடு வருகின்றீரா?” என்று கேட்டான். ஆகாப் இஸ்ரவேலின் அரசன். யோசபாத் யூதாவின் அரசன். யோசபாத் ஆகாபிடம், “நான் உன்னைப் போன்றவன். என் ஜனங்களும் உன் ஜனங்களைப் போன்றவர்களே. நாங்கள் உங்களோடு போரிலே சேர்ந்துக்கொள்வோம்” என்றான்.

இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசனான ஆகாபு யூதாவின் அரசன் யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி, “இராமோத்து-கிலயாதை எதிர்க்க என்னோடு வருவீரா?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு யோசபாத்து அவனிடம் “உம்மைப் போலவே நானும் தயார்; உம் மக்களைப் போலவே என் மக்களும்; நான் உமக்குத் துணையாகப் போருக்கு வருவேன்” என்றார்.
