அவன் விசுவாசத்திலே பலவீனமாயிருக்கவில்லை; அவன் ஏறக்குறைய நூறு வயதுள்ளவனாயிருக்கும்போது, தன் சரீரம் செத்துப்போனதையும், சாராளுடைய கர்ப்பம் செத்துப்போனதையும் எண்ணாதிருந்தான்.

அவன் ஏறக்குறைய 100 வயதுள்ளவனாய் இருந்தான். அவ்வயதில் பிள்ளைகள் உருவாக உயிர் சக்தியில்லை. அதே சமயத்தில் சாராளாலும் குழந்தை பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது. ஆபிரகாம் இதைப்பற்றியும் நினைத்துப் பார்த்தான். ஆனால் தேவன் மேல் வைத்த விசுவாசம் மட்டும் குறையவே இல்லை.
