Deuteronomy 12:30
ਜਦੋਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਾਪਰੇ, ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣਾ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਂਜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਫ਼ਸਣਾ। ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣਾ! ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਾ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ, ‘ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।’

Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

Take heed הִשָּׁ֣מֶר šāmar sha-MAHR
לְךָ֗
to thyself that פֶּן pēn pane
thou be not snared תִּנָּקֵשׁ֙ nāqaš na-KAHSH
by following אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם ʾaḥar ah-HAHR
them, after that אַֽחֲרֵ֖י ʾaḥar ah-HAHR
they be destroyed הִשָּֽׁמְדָ֣ם šāmad sha-MAHD
from before מִפָּנֶ֑יךָ pānîm pa-NEEM
thee; and that וּפֶן pēn pane
thou inquire תִּדְרֹ֨שׁ dāraš da-RAHSH
not after their gods, לֵֽאלֹהֵיהֶ֜ם ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
saying, לֵאמֹ֨ר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
How אֵיכָ֨ה ʾêk ake
serve יַֽעַבְד֜וּ ʿābad ah-VAHD
nations הַגּוֹיִ֤ם gôy ɡoy
did these הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ ʾēlle ay-LEH
אֶת ʾēt ate
their gods? אֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
do וְאֶֽעֱשֶׂה ʿāśâ ah-SA
even so כֵּ֖ן kēn kane
likewise. גַּם gam ɡahm
will I אָֽנִי׃ ʾănî uh-NEE
