מִזְמ֥וֹר A Psalm mizmôr שִׁ֗יר Song šîr לְי֣וֹם day. yôm הַשַּׁבָּֽת׃ for the sabbath šabbāt

ט֗וֹב good ṭôb לְהֹד֥וֹת to give thanks yādâ לַיהוָ֑ה unto the Lord, yĕhōwâ וּלְזַמֵּ֖ר and to sing praises zāmar לְשִׁמְךָ֣ unto thy name, šēm עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ O most High: ʿelyôn

לְהַגִּ֣יד To shew forth nāgad בַּבֹּ֣קֶר in the morning, bōqer חַסְֽדֶּ֑ךָ thy lovingkindness ḥēsēd וֶ֝אֱמֽוּנָתְךָ֗ and thy faithfulness ʾĕmûnâ בַּלֵּילֽוֹת׃ every night, layil

עֲֽלֵי Upon ʿal עָ֭שׂוֹר an instrument of ten strings, ʿāśôr וַעֲלֵי and upon ʿal נָ֑בֶל the psaltery; nebel עֲלֵ֖י with ʿal הִגָּי֣וֹן a solemn sound. higgāyôn בְּכִנּֽוֹר׃ upon the harp kinnôr

כִּ֤י For kî שִׂמַּחְתַּ֣נִי hast made me glad śāmaḥ יְהוָ֣ה thou, Lord, yĕhōwâ בְּפָעֳלֶ֑ךָ through thy work: pōʿal בְּֽמַעֲשֵׂ֖י in the works maʿăśe יָדֶ֣יךָ of thy hands. yād אֲרַנֵּֽן׃ I will triumph rānan

מַה how mâ גָּדְל֣וּ great gādal מַעֲשֶׂ֣יךָ are thy works! maʿăśe יְהוָ֑ה O Lord, yĕhōwâ מְ֝אֹ֗ד are very mĕʾōd עָמְק֥וּ deep. ʿāmaq מַחְשְׁבֹתֶֽיךָ׃ thy thoughts maḥăšābâ

אִֽישׁ man ʾîš בַּ֭עַר A brutish baʿar לֹ֣א not; lōʾ יֵדָ֑ע knoweth yādaʿ וּ֝כְסִ֗יל doth a fool kĕsîl לֹא neither lōʾ יָבִ֥ין understand bîn אֶת this. ʾēt זֹֽאת׃ zōt

בִּפְרֹ֤חַ spring pāraḥ רְשָׁעִ֨ים׀ When the wicked rāšāʿ כְּמ֥וֹ as kĕmô עֵ֗שֶׂב the grass, ʿeśeb וַ֭יָּצִיצוּ do flourish; ṣûṣ כָּל and when all kōl פֹּ֣עֲלֵי the workers pāʿal אָ֑וֶן of iniquity ʾāwen לְהִשָּֽׁמְדָ֥ם that they shall be destroyed šāmad עֲדֵי for ever: ʿad עַֽד׃ ʿad

וְאַתָּ֥ה But thou, ʾattâ מָר֗וֹם high mārôm לְעֹלָ֥ם for evermore. ʿôlām יְהוָֽה׃ Lord, yĕhōwâ

כִּ֤י For, kî הִנֵּ֪ה lo, hinnē אֹיְבֶ֡יךָ׀ thine enemies, ʾōyēb יְֽהוָ֗ה O Lord, yĕhōwâ כִּֽי for, kî הִנֵּ֣ה lo, hinnē אֹיְבֶ֣יךָ thine enemies ʾōyēb יֹאבֵ֑דוּ shall perish; ʾābad יִ֝תְפָּרְד֗וּ shall be scattered. pārad כָּל all kōl פֹּ֥עֲלֵי the workers pāʿal אָֽוֶן׃ of iniquity ʾāwen

וַתָּ֣רֶם shalt thou exalt rûm כִּרְאֵ֣ים like an unicorn: rĕʾēm קַרְנִ֑י But my horn qeren בַּ֝לֹּתִ֗י I shall be anointed bālal בְּשֶׁ֣מֶן oil. šemen רַעֲנָֽן׃ with fresh raʿănān

וַתַּבֵּ֥ט also shall see nābaṭ עֵינִ֗י Mine eye ʿayin בְּשׁ֫וּרָ֥י on mine enemies, šûr בַּקָּמִ֖ים that rise up qûm עָלַ֥י against me. ʿal מְרֵעִ֗ים of the wicked rāʿaʿ תִּשְׁמַ֥עְנָה shall hear šāmaʿ אָזְנָֽי׃ mine ears ʾōzen

צַ֭דִּיק The righteous ṣaddîq כַּתָּמָ֣ר like the palm tree: tāmār יִפְרָ֑ח shall flourish pāraḥ כְּאֶ֖רֶז like a cedar ʾerez בַּלְּבָנ֣וֹן in Lebanon. lĕbānôn יִשְׂגֶּֽה׃ he shall grow śāgâ

שְׁ֭תוּלִים Those that be planted šātal בְּבֵ֣ית in the house bayit יְהוָ֑ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ בְּחַצְר֖וֹת in the courts ḥāṣēr אֱלֹהֵ֣ינוּ of our God. ʾĕlōhîm יַפְרִֽיחוּ׃ shall flourish pāraḥ

ע֭וֹד They shall still ʿôd יְנוּב֣וּן bring forth fruit nûb בְּשֵׂיבָ֑ה in old age; śêbâ דְּשֵׁנִ֖ים fat dāšēn וְרַֽעֲנַנִּ֣ים and flourishing; raʿănān יִהְיֽוּ׃ they shall be hāyâ

לְ֭הַגִּיד To shew nāgad כִּֽי that kî יָשָׁ֣ר upright: yāšār יְהוָ֑ה the Lord yĕhōwâ צ֝וּרִ֗י my rock, ṣûr וְֽלֹא and no lōʾ עְַלָ֥תָה unrighteousness in him. ʿewel בּֽוֹ׃
