  2. מַה How יְּדִיד֥וֹת amiable yĕdîd מִשְׁכְּנוֹתֶ֗יךָ thy tabernacles, miškān יְהוָ֥ה O Lord yĕhōwâ צְבָאֽוֹת׃ of hosts! ṣābāʾ
  3. נִכְסְפָ֬ה longeth, kāsap וְגַם yea, even gam כָּלְתָ֨ה׀ fainteth kālâ נַפְשִׁי֮ My soul nepeš לְחַצְר֪וֹת for the courts ḥāṣēr יְה֫וָ֥ה of the Lord: yĕhōwâ לִבִּ֥י my heart lēb וּבְשָׂרִ֑י and my flesh bāśār יְ֝רַנְּנ֗וּ crieth out rānan אֶ֣ל for ʾēl אֵֽל God. ʾēl חָֽי׃ the living ḥay
  4. גַּם Yea, gam צִפּ֨וֹר the sparrow ṣippôr מָ֪צְאָה hath found māṣāʾ בַ֡יִת an house, bayit וּדְר֤וֹר׀ and the swallow dĕrôr קֵ֥ן a nest qēn לָהּ֮ אֲשֶׁר for herself, where ʾăšer שָׁ֪תָה she may lay šît אֶפְרֹ֫חֶ֥יהָ her young, ʾeprōaḥ אֶֽת ʾēt מִ֭זְבְּחוֹתֶיךָ thine altars, mizbēaḥ יְהוָ֣ה O Lord yĕhōwâ צְבָא֑וֹת of hosts, ṣābāʾ מַ֝לְכִּ֗י my King, melek וֵאלֹהָֽי׃ and my God. ʾĕlōhîm
  5. אַ֭שְׁרֵי Blessed ʾešer יוֹשְׁבֵ֣י they that dwell yāšab בֵיתֶ֑ךָ in thy house: bayit ע֝֗וֹד they will be still ʿôd יְֽהַלְל֥וּךָ praising hālal סֶּֽלָה׃ thee. Selah. selâ

  7. עֹבְרֵ֤י׀ passing ʿābar בְּעֵ֣מֶק through the valley ʿēmeq הַ֭בָּכָא of Baca bākāʾ מַעְיָ֣ן it a well; maʿyān יְשִׁית֑וּהוּ make šît גַּם also gam בְּ֝רָכ֗וֹת the pools. bĕrākâ יַעְטֶ֥ה filleth ʿāṭâ מוֹרֶֽה׃ the rain môre
  8. יֵ֭לְכוּ They go hālak מֵחַ֣יִל from strength ḥayil אֶל to ʾēl חָ֑יִל strength, ḥayil יֵרָאֶ֖ה appeareth rāʾâ אֶל before ʾēl אֱלֹהִ֣ים God. ʾĕlōhîm בְּצִיּֽוֹן׃ in Zion ṣiyyôn
  9. יְה֘וָ֤ה O Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהִ֣ים God ʾĕlōhîm צְ֭בָאוֹת of hosts, ṣābāʾ שִׁמְעָ֣ה hear šāmaʿ תְפִלָּתִ֑י my prayer: tĕpillâ הַאֲזִ֨ינָה give ear, ʾāzan אֱלֹהֵ֖י O God ʾĕlōhîm יַעֲקֹ֣ב of Jacob. yaʿăqōb סֶֽלָה׃ Selah. selâ
  10. מָ֭גִנֵּנוּ our shield, māgēn רְאֵ֣ה Behold, rāʾâ אֱלֹהִ֑ים O God ʾĕlōhîm וְ֝הַבֵּ֗ט and look upon nābaṭ פְּנֵ֣י the face pānîm מְשִׁיחֶֽךָ׃ of thine anointed. māšîaḥ
  11. כִּ֤י For טֽוֹב better ṭôb י֥וֹם a day yôm בַּחֲצֵרֶ֗יךָ in thy courts ḥāṣēr מֵ֫אָ֥לֶף than a thousand. ʾelep בָּחַ֗רְתִּי I had rather bāḥar הִ֭סְתּוֹפֵף be a doorkeeper sāpap בְּבֵ֣ית in the house bayit אֱלֹהַ֑י of my God, ʾĕlōhîm מִ֝דּ֗וּר than to dwell dûr בְּאָהֳלֵי in the tents ʾōhel רֶֽשַׁע׃ of wickedness. rešaʿ
  12. כִּ֤י For שֶׁ֨מֶשׁ׀ a sun šemeš וּמָגֵן֮ and shield: māgēn יְהוָ֪ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים God ʾĕlōhîm חֵ֣ן grace ḥēn וְ֭כָבוֹד and glory: kābôd יִתֵּ֣ן will give nātan יְהוָ֑ה the Lord yĕhōwâ לֹ֥א no lōʾ יִמְנַע will he withhold mānaʿ ט֝֗וֹב good ṭôb לַֽהֹלְכִ֥ים from them that walk hālak בְּתָמִֽים׃ uprightly. tāmîm
  13. יְהוָ֥ה O Lord yĕhōwâ צְבָא֑וֹת of hosts, ṣābāʾ אַֽשְׁרֵ֥י blessed ʾešer אָ֝דָ֗ם the man ʾādām בֹּטֵ֥חַ that trusteth in thee. bāṭaḥ בָּֽךְ׃
