  2. אֲבָרֲכָ֣ה I will bless bārak אֶת ʾēt יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ בְּכָל at all kōl עֵ֑ת times: ʿēt תָּ֝מִ֗יד continually tāmîd תְּֽהִלָּת֥וֹ his praise tĕhillâ בְּפִֽי׃ in my mouth. pe
  3. בַּ֭יהוָה in the Lord: yĕhōwâ תִּתְהַלֵּ֣ל shall make her boast hālal נַפְשִׁ֑י My soul nepeš יִשְׁמְע֖וּ shall hear šāmaʿ עֲנָוִ֣ים the humble ʿānāw וְיִשְׂמָֽחוּ׃ and be glad. śāmaḥ
  4. גַּדְּל֣וּ O magnify gādal לַיהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אִתִּ֑י with ʾēt וּנְרוֹמְמָ֖ה me, and let us exalt rûm שְׁמ֣וֹ his name šēm יַחְדָּֽו׃ together. yaḥad
  5. דָּרַ֣שְׁתִּי I sought dāraš אֶת ʾēt יְהוָ֣ה the Lord, yĕhōwâ וְעָנָ֑נִי and he heard ʿānâ וּמִכָּל me from all kōl מְ֝גוּרוֹתַ֗י my fears. mĕgûrâ הִצִּילָֽנִי׃ me, and delivered nāṣal
  6. הִבִּ֣יטוּ They looked nābaṭ אֵלָ֣יו unto ʾēl וְנָהָ֑רוּ him, and were lightened: nāhar וּ֝פְנֵיהֶ֗ם and their faces pānîm אַל were not ʾal יֶחְפָּֽרוּ׃ ashamed. ḥāpēr
  7. זֶ֤ה This ze עָנִ֣י poor man ʿānî קָ֭רָא cried, qārāʾ וַיהוָ֣ה and the Lord yĕhōwâ שָׁמֵ֑עַ heard šāmaʿ וּמִכָּל him out of all kōl צָ֝רוֹתָ֗יו his troubles. ṣārâ הוֹשִׁיעֽוֹ׃ and saved yāšaʿ
  8. חֹנֶ֤ה encampeth ḥānâ מַלְאַךְ The angel mălʾok יְהוָ֓ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ סָ֘בִ֤יב round about sābîb לִֽירֵאָ֗יו them that fear yārēʾ וַֽיְחַלְּצֵֽם׃ him, and delivereth them. ḥālaṣ
  9. טַעֲמ֣וּ O taste ṭāʿam וּ֭רְאוּ and see rāʾâ כִּי that ט֣וֹב good: ṭôb יְהוָ֑ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אַֽשְׁרֵ֥י blessed ʾešer הַ֝גֶּ֗בֶר the man geber יֶחֱסֶה trusteth in him. ḥāsâ בּֽוֹ׃
  10. יְר֣אוּ O fear yārēʾ אֶת ʾēt יְהוָ֣ה the Lord, yĕhōwâ קְדֹשָׁ֑יו ye his saints: qādôš כִּי for אֵ֥ין no ʾayin מַ֝חְס֗וֹר want maḥsôr לִירֵאָֽיו׃ to them that fear him. yārēʾ
  11. כְּ֭פִירִים The young lions kĕpîr רָשׁ֣וּ do lack, rûš וְרָעֵ֑בוּ and suffer hunger: rāʿēb וְדֹרְשֵׁ֥י but they that seek dāraš יְ֝הוָ֗ה the Lord yĕhōwâ לֹא shall not lōʾ יַחְסְר֥וּ want ḥāsēr כָל any kōl טֽוֹב׃ good ṭôb
  12. לְֽכוּ Come, hālak בָ֭נִים ye children, bēn שִׁמְעוּ hearken šāmaʿ לִ֑י יִֽרְאַ֥ת you the fear yirʾâ יְ֝הוָ֗ה of the Lord. yĕhōwâ אֲלַמֶּדְכֶֽם׃ unto me: I will teach lāmad
  13. מִֽי What הָ֭אִישׁ man ʾîš הֶחָפֵ֣ץ desireth ḥāpēṣ חַיִּ֑ים life, ḥay אֹהֵ֥ב loveth ʾāhab יָ֝מִ֗ים days, yôm לִרְא֥וֹת that he may see rāʾâ טֽוֹב׃ good? ṭôb
  14. נְצֹ֣ר Keep nāṣar לְשׁוֹנְךָ֣ thy tongue lāšôn מֵרָ֑ע from evil, raʿ וּ֝שְׂפָתֶ֗יךָ and thy lips śāpâ מִדַּבֵּ֥ר from speaking dābar מִרְמָֽה׃ guile. mirmâ
  15. ס֣וּר Depart sûr מֵ֭רָע from evil, raʿ וַעֲשֵׂה and do ʿāśâ ט֑וֹב good; ṭôb בַּקֵּ֖שׁ seek bāqaš שָׁל֣וֹם peace, šālôm וְרָדְפֵֽהוּ׃ and pursue it. rādap
  16. עֵינֵ֣י The eyes ʿayin יְ֭הוָה of the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶל upon ʾēl צַדִּיקִ֑ים the righteous, ṣaddîq וְ֝אָזְנָ֗יו and his ears ʾōzen אֶל unto ʾēl שַׁוְעָתָֽם׃ their cry. šawʿâ
  17. פְּנֵ֣י The face pānîm יְ֭הוָה of the Lord yĕhōwâ בְּעֹ֣שֵׂי against them that do ʿāśâ רָ֑ע evil, raʿ לְהַכְרִ֖ית to cut off kārat מֵאֶ֣רֶץ of them from the earth. ʾereṣ זִכְרָֽם׃ the remembrance zēker
  18. צָעֲק֣וּ cry, ṣāʿaq וַיהוָ֣ה and the Lord yĕhōwâ שָׁמֵ֑עַ heareth, šāmaʿ וּמִכָּל them out of all kōl צָ֝רוֹתָ֗ם their troubles. ṣārâ הִצִּילָֽם׃ and delivereth nāṣal
  19. קָר֣וֹב nigh qārôb יְ֭הוָה The Lord yĕhōwâ לְנִשְׁבְּרֵי unto them that are of a broken šābar לֵ֑ב heart; lēb וְֽאֶת ʾēt דַּכְּאֵי such as be of a contrite dakkāʾ ר֥וּחַ spirit. rûaḥ יוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃ and saveth yāšaʿ
  20. רַ֭בּוֹת Many rab רָע֣וֹת the afflictions raʿ צַדִּ֑יק of the righteous: ṣaddîq וּ֝מִכֻּלָּ֗ם him out of them all. kōl יַצִּילֶ֥נּוּ delivereth nāṣal יְהוָֽה׃ but the Lord yĕhōwâ
  21. שֹׁמֵ֥ר He keepeth šāmar כָּל all kōl עַצְמוֹתָ֑יו his bones: ʿeṣem אַחַ֥ת one ʾeḥād מֵ֝הֵ֗נָּה of them hēnnâ לֹ֣א not lōʾ נִשְׁבָּֽרָה׃ is broken. šābar
  22. תְּמוֹתֵ֣ת shall slay mût רָשָׁ֣ע the wicked: rāšāʿ רָעָ֑ה Evil raʿ וְשֹׂנְאֵ֖י and they that hate śānēʾ צַדִּ֣יק the righteous ṣaddîq יֶאְשָֽׁמוּ׃ shall be desolate. ʾāšam
  23. פּוֹדֶ֣ה redeemeth pādâ יְ֭הוָה The Lord yĕhōwâ נֶ֣פֶשׁ the soul nepeš עֲבָדָ֑יו of his servants: ʿebed וְלֹ֥א and none lōʾ יֶ֝אְשְׁמ֗וּ in him shall be desolate. ʾāšam כָּֽל kōl הַחֹסִ֥ים of them that trust ḥāsâ בּֽוֹ׃
