לֹ֤א Not lōʾ לָ֥נוּ יְהוָ֗ה unto us, O Lord, yĕhōwâ לֹ֫א not lōʾ לָ֥נוּ כִּֽי unto us, but kî לְ֭שִׁמְךָ unto thy name šēm תֵּ֣ן give nātan כָּב֑וֹד glory, kābôd עַל for ʿal חַ֝סְדְּךָ֗ thy mercy, ḥēsēd עַל for ʿal אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃ thy truth's sake. ʾemet

לָ֭מָּה Wherefore mâ יֹאמְר֣וּ say, ʾāmar הַגּוֹיִ֑ם should the heathen gôy אַיֵּה Where ʾayyē נָ֝֗א now nāʾ אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃ their God? ʾĕlōhîm

וֵֽאלֹהֵ֥ינוּ But our God ʾĕlōhîm בַשָּׁמָ֑יִם in the heavens: šāmayim כֹּ֭ל whatsoever kōl אֲשֶׁר ʾăšer חָפֵ֣ץ he hath pleased. ḥāpēṣ עָשָֽׂה׃ he hath done ʿāśâ

עֲֽ֭צַבֵּיהֶם Their idols ʿāṣāb כֶּ֣סֶף silver kesep וְזָהָ֑ב and gold, zāhāb מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗ה the work maʿăśe יְדֵ֣י hands. yād אָדָֽם׃ of men's ʾādām

פֶּֽה They have mouths, pe לָ֭הֶם hēm וְלֹ֣א not: lōʾ יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ but they speak dābar עֵינַ֥יִם eyes ʿayin לָ֝הֶ֗ם hēm וְלֹ֣א lōʾ יִרְאֽוּ׃ have they, but they see not: rāʾâ

אָזְנַ֣יִם They have ears, ʾōzen לָ֭הֶם וְלֹ֣א not: lōʾ יִשְׁמָ֑עוּ but they hear šāmaʿ אַ֥ף noses ʾap לָ֝הֶ֗ם וְלֹ֣א lōʾ יְרִיחֽוּן׃ have they, but they smell not: rûaḥ

יְדֵיהֶ֤ם׀ They have hands, yād וְלֹ֬א not: lōʾ יְמִישׁ֗וּן but they handle mûš רַ֭גְלֵיהֶם feet regel וְלֹ֣א not: lōʾ יְהַלֵּ֑כוּ have they, but they walk hālak לֹֽא neither lōʾ יֶ֝הְגּ֗וּ speak hāgâ בִּגְרוֹנָֽם׃ they through their throat. gārôn

כְּ֭מוֹהֶם like unto them; kĕmô יִהְי֣וּ them are hāyâ עֹשֵׂיהֶ֑ם They that make ʿāśâ כֹּ֭ל every one kōl אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer בֹּטֵ֣חַ trusteth in them. bāṭaḥ בָּהֶֽם׃

יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל O Israel, yiśrāʾēl בְּטַ֣ח trust bāṭaḥ בַּיהוָ֑ה thou in the Lord: yĕhōwâ עֶזְרָ֖ם their help ʿēzer וּמָגִנָּ֣ם and their shield. māgēn הֽוּא׃ he hûʾ

בֵּ֣ית O house bayit אַ֭הֲרֹן of Aaron, ʾahărôn בִּטְח֣וּ trust bāṭaḥ בַיהוָ֑ה in the Lord: yĕhōwâ עֶזְרָ֖ם their help ʿēzer וּמָגִנָּ֣ם and their shield. māgēn הֽוּא׃ he hûʾ

יִרְאֵ֣י Ye that fear yārēʾ יְ֭הוָה the Lord, yĕhōwâ בִּטְח֣וּ trust bāṭaḥ בַיהוָ֑ה in the Lord: yĕhōwâ עֶזְרָ֖ם their help ʿēzer וּמָגִנָּ֣ם and their shield. māgēn הֽוּא׃ he hûʾ

יְהוָה֮ The Lord yĕhōwâ זְכָרָ֪נוּ hath been mindful zākar יְבָ֫רֵ֥ךְ of us: he will bless bārak יְ֭בָרֵךְ he will bless bārak אֶת ʾēt בֵּ֣ית the house bayit יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel; yiśrāʾēl יְ֝בָרֵ֗ךְ he will bless bārak אֶת ʾēt בֵּ֥ית the house bayit אַהֲרֹֽן׃ of Aaron. ʾahărôn

יְ֭בָרֵךְ He will bless bārak יִרְאֵ֣י them that fear yārēʾ יְהוָ֑ה the Lord, yĕhōwâ הַ֝קְּטַנִּ֗ים small qāṭān עִם and ʿim הַגְּדֹלִֽים׃ great. gādôl

יֹסֵ֣ף shall increase yāsap יְהוָ֣ה The Lord yĕhōwâ עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם you more ʿal עֲ֝לֵיכֶ֗ם and more, ʿal וְעַל you ʿal בְּנֵיכֶֽם׃ and your children. bēn

בְּרוּכִ֣ים blessed bārak אַ֭תֶּם Ye ʾattâ לַיהוָ֑ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ עֹ֝שֵׂ֗ה which made ʿāśâ שָׁמַ֥יִם heaven šāmayim וָאָֽרֶץ׃ and earth. ʾereṣ

הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם The heaven, šāmayim שָׁ֭מַיִם the heavens, šāmayim לַיהוָ֑ה the Lord's: yĕhōwâ וְ֝הָאָ֗רֶץ but the earth ʾereṣ נָתַ֥ן hath he given nātan לִבְנֵי to the children bēn אָדָֽם׃ of men. ʾādām

לֹ֣א not lōʾ הַ֭מֵּתִים The dead mût יְהַֽלְלוּ praise hālal יָ֑הּ the Lord, yāh וְ֝לֹ֗א neither lōʾ כָּל any kōl יֹרְדֵ֥י that go down yārad דוּמָֽה׃ into silence. dûmâ

וַאֲנַ֤חְנוּ׀ But we ʾănaḥnû נְבָ֘רֵ֤ךְ will bless bārak יָ֗הּ the Lord yāh מֵֽעַתָּ֥ה from this time forth ʿattâ וְעַד and for ʿad עוֹלָ֗ם evermore. ʿôlām הַֽלְלוּ Praise hālal יָֽהּ׃ the Lord. yāh
