שִׁ֖יר A Song šîr מִזְמ֣וֹר Psalm mizmôr לְדָוִֽד׃ of David. dāwid

נָכ֣וֹן is fixed; kûn לִבִּ֣י my heart lēb אֱלֹהִ֑ים O God, ʾĕlōhîm אָשִׁ֥ירָה I will sing šîr וַ֝אֲזַמְּרָ֗ה and give praise, zāmar אַף even ʾap כְּבוֹדִֽי׃ with my glory. kābôd

ע֭וּרָֽה Awake, ʿûr הַנֵּ֥בֶל psaltery nebel וְכִנּ֗וֹר and harp: kinnôr אָעִ֥ירָה I will awake ʿûr שָּֽׁחַר׃ early. šaḥar

אוֹדְךָ֖ I will praise yādâ בָעַמִּ֥ים׀ among the people: ʿam יְהוָ֑ה thee, O Lord, yĕhōwâ וַ֝אֲזַמֶּרְךָ֗ and I will sing praises zāmar בַּלְאֻמִּֽים׃ unto thee among the nations. lĕʾōm

כִּֽי For kî גָד֣וֹל great gādôl מֵֽעַל above ʿal שָׁמַ֣יִם the heavens: šāmayim חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ thy mercy ḥēsēd וְֽעַד unto ʿad שְׁחָקִ֥ים the clouds. šaḥaq אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃ and thy truth ʾemet

ר֣וּמָה Be thou exalted, rûm עַל above ʿal שָׁמַ֣יִם the heavens: šāmayim אֱלֹהִ֑ים O God, ʾĕlōhîm וְעַ֖ל above ʿal כָּל all kōl הָאָ֣רֶץ the earth; ʾereṣ כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ׃ and thy glory kābôd

לְ֭מַעַן That maʿan יֵחָלְצ֣וּן may be delivered: ḥālaṣ יְדִידֶ֑יךָ thy beloved yĕdîd הוֹשִׁ֖יעָה save yāšaʿ יְמִֽינְךָ֣ thy right hand, yāmîn וַעֲנֵֽנִי׃ and answer me. ʿānâ

אֱלֹהִ֤ים׀ God ʾĕlōhîm דִּבֶּ֥ר hath spoken dābar בְּקָדְשׁ֗וֹ in his holiness; qōdeš אֶעְלֹ֥זָה I will rejoice, ʿālaz אֲחַלְּקָ֥ה I will divide ḥālaq שְׁכֶ֑ם Shechem, šĕkem וְעֵ֖מֶק the valley ʿēmeq סֻכּ֣וֹת of Succoth. sukkôt אֲמַדֵּֽד׃ and mete out mādad

לִ֤י גִלְעָ֨ד׀ Gilead gilʿād לִ֤י מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה mine; Manasseh mĕnašše וְ֭אֶפְרַיִם mine; Ephraim ʾeprayim מָע֣וֹז also the strength māʿôz רֹאשִׁ֑י of mine head; rōš יְ֝הוּדָ֗ה Judah yĕhûdâ מְחֹקְקִֽי׃ my lawgiver; ḥāqaq

מוֹאָ֤ב׀ Moab môʾāb סִ֬יר sîr רַחְצִ֗י my washpot; raḥaṣ עַל over ʿal אֱ֭דוֹם Edom ʾĕdōm אַשְׁלִ֣יךְ will I cast out šālak נַעֲלִ֑י my shoe; naʿal עֲלֵֽי over ʿal פְ֝לֶ֗שֶׁת Philistia pĕlešet אֶתְרוֹעָֽע׃ will I triumph. rûaʿ

מִ֣י Who mî יֹ֭בִלֵנִי will bring yābal עִ֣יר city? ʿîr מִבְצָ֑ר me into the strong mibṣār מִ֖י who mî נָחַ֣נִי will lead nāḥâ עַד me into ʿad אֱדֽוֹם׃ Edom? ʾĕdōm

הֲלֹֽא not lōʾ אֱלֹהִ֥ים O God, ʾĕlōhîm זְנַחְתָּ֑נוּ hast cast us off? zānaḥ וְֽלֹא and wilt not lōʾ תֵצֵ֥א go forth yāṣāʾ אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים thou, O God, ʾĕlōhîm בְּצִבְאֹתֵֽינוּ׃ with our hosts? ṣābāʾ

הָֽבָה Give yāhab לָּ֣נוּ עֶזְרָ֣ת us help ʿezrâ מִצָּ֑ר from trouble: ṣar וְ֝שָׁ֗וְא for vain šow תְּשׁוּעַ֥ת the help tĕšûʿâ אָדָֽם׃ of man. ʾādām

בֵּֽאלֹהִ֥ים Through God ʾĕlōhîm נַעֲשֶׂה we shall do ʿāśâ חָ֑יִל valiantly: ḥayil וְ֝ה֗וּא for he hûʾ יָב֥וּס shall tread down bûs צָרֵֽינוּ׃ our enemies. ṣar
