  1. הוֹד֣וּ O give thanks yādâ לַ֭יהוָה unto the Lord; yĕhōwâ קִרְא֣וּ call qārāʾ בִּשְׁמ֑וֹ upon his name: šēm הוֹדִ֥יעוּ make known yādaʿ בָ֝עַמִּ֗ים among the people. ʿam עֲלִילוֹתָֽיו׃ his deeds ʿălîlâ
  2. שִֽׁירוּ Sing šîr ל֭וֹ זַמְּרוּ unto him, sing psalms zāmar ל֑וֹ שִׂ֝֗יחוּ unto him: talk śîaḥ בְּכָל ye of all kōl נִפְלְאוֹתָֽיו׃ his wondrous works. pālāʾ
  3. הִֽ֭תְהַלְלוּ Glory hālal בְּשֵׁ֣ם name: šēm קָדְשׁ֑וֹ ye in his holy qōdeš יִ֝שְׂמַ֗ח of them rejoice śāmaḥ לֵ֤ב׀ let the heart lēb מְבַקְשֵׁ֬י that seek bāqaš יְהוָֽה׃ the Lord. yĕhōwâ
  4. דִּרְשׁ֣וּ Seek dāraš יְהוָ֣ה the Lord, yĕhōwâ וְעֻזּ֑וֹ and his strength: ʿōz בַּקְּשׁ֖וּ seek bāqaš פָנָ֣יו his face pānîm תָּמִֽיד׃ evermore. tāmîd
  5. זִכְר֗וּ Remember zākar נִפְלְאוֹתָ֥יו his marvellous works pālāʾ אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer עָשָׂ֑ה he hath done; ʿāśâ מֹ֝פְתָ֗יו his wonders, môpēt וּמִשְׁפְּטֵי and the judgments mišpāṭ פִֽיו׃ of his mouth; pe
  6. זֶ֭רַע O ye seed zeraʿ אַבְרָהָ֣ם of Abraham ʾabrāhām עַבְדּ֑וֹ his servant, ʿebed בְּנֵ֖י ye children bēn יַעֲקֹ֣ב of Jacob yaʿăqōb בְּחִירָֽיו׃ his chosen. bāḥîr
  7. ה֭וּא He hûʾ יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ our God: ʾĕlōhîm בְּכָל in all kōl הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ the earth. ʾereṣ מִשְׁפָּטָֽיו׃ his judgments mišpāṭ
  8. זָכַ֣ר He hath remembered zākar לְעוֹלָ֣ם for ever, ʿôlām בְּרִית֑וֹ his covenant bĕrît דָּבָ֥ר the word dābār צִ֝וָּ֗ה he commanded ṣāwâ לְאֶ֣לֶף to a thousand ʾelep דּֽוֹר׃ generations. dôr
  9. אֲשֶׁ֣ר Which ʾăšer כָּ֭רַת he made kārat אֶת with ʾēt אַבְרָהָ֑ם Abraham, ʾabrāhām וּשְׁב֖וּעָת֣וֹ and his oath šĕbûʿâ לְיִשְׂחָֽק׃ unto Isaac; yiśḥāq
  10. וַיַּֽעֲמִידֶ֣הָ And confirmed ʿāmad לְיַעֲקֹ֣ב the same unto Jacob yaʿăqōb לְחֹ֑ק for a law, ḥōq לְ֝יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל to Israel yiśrāʾēl בְּרִ֣ית covenant: bĕrît עוֹלָֽם׃ an everlasting ʿôlām
  11. לֵאמֹ֗ר Saying, ʾāmar לְךָ֗ אֶתֵּ֥ן Unto thee will I give nātan אֶת ʾēt אֶֽרֶץ the land ʾereṣ כְּנָ֑עַן of Canaan, kĕnaʿan חֶ֝֗בֶל the lot ḥebel נַחֲלַתְכֶֽם׃ of your inheritance: naḥălâ
  12. בִּֽ֭הְיוֹתָם When they were hāyâ מְתֵ֣י a few men mat מִסְפָּ֑ר in number; mispār כִּ֝מְעַ֗ט yea, very few, mĕʿaṭ וְגָרִ֥ים and strangers in it. gûr בָּֽהּ׃
  13. וַֽ֭יִּתְהַלְּכוּ When they went hālak מִגּ֣וֹי from one nation gôy אֶל to ʾēl גּ֑וֹי another, gôy מִ֝מַּמְלָכָ֗ה from kingdom mamlākâ אֶל to ʾēl עַ֥ם people; ʿam אַחֵֽר׃ another ʾaḥēr
  14. לֹֽא no lōʾ הִנִּ֣יחַ He suffered yānaḥ אָדָ֣ם man ʾādām לְעָשְׁקָ֑ם to do them wrong: ʿāšaq וַיּ֖וֹכַח yea, he reproved yākaḥ עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם ʿal מְלָכִֽים׃ kings for their sakes; melek
  15. אַֽל not ʾal תִּגְּע֥וּ Touch nāgaʿ בִמְשִׁיחָ֑י mine anointed, māšîaḥ וְ֝לִנְבִיאַי and do my prophets nābîʾ אַל no ʾal תָּרֵֽעוּ׃ harm. rāʿaʿ
  16. וַיִּקְרָ֣א Moreover he called for qārāʾ רָ֭עָב a famine rāʿāb עַל upon ʿal הָאָ֑רֶץ the land: ʾereṣ כָּֽל the whole kōl מַטֵּה staff maṭṭe לֶ֥חֶם of bread. leḥem שָׁבָֽר׃ he brake šābar
  17. שָׁלַ֣ח He sent šālaḥ לִפְנֵיהֶ֣ם before pānîm אִ֑ישׁ a man ʾîš לְ֝עֶ֗בֶד for a servant: ʿebed נִמְכַּ֥ר was sold mākar יוֹסֵֽף׃ them, Joseph, yôsēp
  18. עִנּ֣וּ they hurt ʿānâ בַכֶּ֣בֶל with fetters: kebel רַגְל֑יוֹ Whose feet regel בַּ֝רְזֶ֗ל in iron: barzel בָּ֣אָה was laid bôʾ נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ he nepeš
  19. עַד Until ʿad עֵ֥ת the time ʿēt בֹּֽא came: bôʾ דְבָר֑וֹ that his word dābār אִמְרַ֖ת the word ʾimrâ יְהוָ֣ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ צְרָפָֽתְהוּ׃ tried him. ṣārap
  20. שָׁ֣לַח sent šālaḥ מֶ֭לֶךְ The king melek וַיַתִּירֵ֑הוּ and loosed nātar מֹשֵׁ֥ל him; the ruler māšal עַ֝מִּ֗ים of the people, ʿam וַֽיְפַתְּחֵֽהוּ׃ and let him go free. pātaḥ
  21. שָׂמ֣וֹ He made śûm אָד֣וֹן him lord ʾādôn לְבֵית֑וֹ of his house, bayit וּ֝מֹשֵׁ֗ל and ruler māšal בְּכָל of all kōl קִנְיָנֽוֹ׃ his substance: qinyān
  22. לֶאְסֹ֣ר To bind ʾāsar שָׂרָ֣יו his princes śar בְּנַפְשׁ֑וֹ at his pleasure; nepeš וּזְקֵנָ֥יו and teach his senators zāqēn יְחַכֵּֽם׃ wisdom. ḥākam
  23. וַיָּבֹ֣א also came into bôʾ יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל Israel yiśrāʾēl מִצְרָ֑יִם Egypt; miṣrayim וְ֝יַעֲקֹ֗ב and Jacob yaʿăqōb גָּ֣ר sojourned gûr בְּאֶֽרֶץ in the land ʾereṣ חָֽם׃ of Ham. ḥām
  24. וַיֶּ֣פֶר And he increased pārâ אֶת ʾēt עַמּ֣וֹ his people ʿam מְאֹ֑ד greatly; mĕʾōd וַ֝יַּֽעֲצִמֵהוּ and made them stronger ʿāṣam מִצָּרָֽיו׃ than their enemies. ṣar
  25. הָפַ֣ךְ He turned hāpak לִ֭בָּם their heart lēb לִשְׂנֹ֣א to hate śānēʾ עַמּ֑וֹ his people, ʿam לְ֝הִתְנַכֵּ֗ל to deal subtilly nākal בַּעֲבָדָֽיו׃ with his servants. ʿebed
  26. שָׁ֭לַח He sent šālaḥ מֹשֶׁ֣ה Moses mōše עַבְדּ֑וֹ his servant; ʿebed אַ֝הֲרֹ֗ן Aaron ʾahărôn אֲשֶׁ֣ר whom ʾăšer בָּֽחַר he had chosen. bāḥar בּֽוֹ׃
  27. שָֽׂמוּ They shewed śûm בָ֭ם דִּבְרֵ֣י dābār אֹתוֹתָ֑יו his signs ʾôt וּ֝מֹפְתִ֗ים among them, and wonders môpēt בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ חָֽם׃ of Ham. ḥām
  28. שָׁ֣לַֽח He sent šālaḥ חֹ֭שֶׁךְ darkness, ḥōšek וַיַּחְשִׁ֑ךְ and made it dark; ḥāšak וְלֹֽא not lōʾ מָ֝ר֗וּ and they rebelled mārâ אֶת ʾēt דְּבָרֽוֹו׃ against his word. dābār
  29. הָפַ֣ךְ He turned hāpak אֶת ʾēt מֵימֵיהֶ֣ם their waters mayim לְדָ֑ם into blood, dām וַ֝יָּ֗מֶת and slew mût אֶת ʾēt דְּגָתָֽם׃ their fish. dāgâ
  30. שָׁרַ֣ץ brought forth šāraṣ אַרְצָ֣ם Their land ʾereṣ צְפַרְדְּעִ֑ים frogs ṣĕpardēaʿ בְּ֝חַדְרֵ֗י in abundance, in the chambers ḥeder מַלְכֵיהֶֽם׃ of their kings. melek
  31. אָ֭מַר He spake, ʾāmar וַיָּבֹ֣א and there came bôʾ עָרֹ֑ב divers sorts of flies, ʿārōb כִּ֝נִּ֗ים lice kēn בְּכָל in all kōl גְּבוּלָֽם׃ their coasts. gĕbûl
  32. נָתַ֣ן He gave nātan גִּשְׁמֵיהֶ֣ם for rain, gešem בָּרָ֑ד them hail bārād אֵ֖שׁ fire ʾēš לֶהָב֣וֹת flaming lehābâ בְּאַרְצָֽם׃ in their land. ʾereṣ
  33. וַיַּ֣ךְ He smote nākâ גַּ֭פְנָם their vines gepen וּתְאֵנָתָ֑ם also and their fig trees; tĕʾēn וַ֝יְשַׁבֵּ֗ר and brake šābar עֵ֣ץ the trees ʿēṣ גְּבוּלָֽם׃ of their coasts. gĕbûl
  34. אָ֭מַר He spake, ʾāmar וַיָּבֹ֣א came, bôʾ אַרְבֶּ֑ה and the locusts ʾarbe וְ֝יֶ֗לֶק and caterpillers, yeleq וְאֵ֣ין and that without ʾayin מִסְפָּֽר׃ number, mispār
  35. וַיֹּ֣אכַל And did eat up ʾākal כָּל all kōl עֵ֣שֶׂב the herbs ʿeśeb בְּאַרְצָ֑ם in their land, ʾereṣ וַ֝יֹּ֗אכַל and devoured ʾākal פְּרִ֣י the fruit pĕrî אַדְמָתָֽם׃ of their ground. ʾădāmâ
  36. וַיַּ֣ךְ He smote nākâ כָּל also all kōl בְּכ֣וֹר the firstborn bĕkôr בְּאַרְצָ֑ם in their land, ʾereṣ רֵ֝אשִׁ֗ית the chief rēʾšît לְכָל of all kōl אוֹנָֽם׃ their strength. ʾôn
  37. וַֽ֭יּוֹצִיאֵם He brought them forth yāṣāʾ בְּכֶ֣סֶף also with silver kesep וְזָהָ֑ב and gold: zāhāb וְאֵ֖ין and not ʾayin בִּשְׁבָטָ֣יו among their tribes. šēbeṭ כּוֹשֵֽׁל׃ one feeble kāšal
  38. שָׂמַ֣ח was glad śāmaḥ מִצְרַ֣יִם Egypt miṣrayim בְּצֵאתָ֑ם when they departed: yāṣāʾ כִּֽי for נָפַ֖ל of them fell nāpal פַּחְדָּ֣ם the fear paḥad עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ upon them. ʿal
  39. פָּרַ֣שׂ He spread pāraś עָנָ֣ן a cloud ʿānān לְמָסָ֑ךְ for a covering; māsok וְ֝אֵ֗שׁ and fire ʾēš לְהָאִ֥יר to give light ʾôr לָֽיְלָה׃ in the night. layil
  40. שָׁאַ֣ל asked, šāʾal וַיָּבֵ֣א and he brought bôʾ שְׂלָ֑ו quails, śĕlāw וְלֶ֥חֶם them with the bread leḥem שָׁ֝מַ֗יִם of heaven. šāmayim יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽם׃ and satisfied śābaʿ
  41. פָּ֣תַח He opened pātaḥ צ֭וּר the rock, ṣûr וַיָּז֣וּבוּ gushed out; zûb מָ֑יִם and the waters mayim הָ֝לְכ֗וּ they ran hālak בַּצִּיּ֥וֹת in the dry places ṣiyyâ נָהָֽר׃ a river. nāhār
  42. כִּֽי For זָ֭כַר he remembered zākar אֶת ʾēt דְּבַ֣ר promise, dābār קָדְשׁ֑וֹ his holy qōdeš אֶֽת ʾēt אַבְרָהָ֥ם Abraham ʾabrāhām עַבְדּֽוֹ׃ his servant. ʿebed
  43. וַיּוֹצִ֣א And he brought forth yāṣāʾ עַמּ֣וֹ his people ʿam בְשָׂשׂ֑וֹן with joy, śāśôn בְּ֝רִנָּ֗ה with gladness: rinnâ אֶת ʾēt בְּחִירָֽיו׃ his chosen bāḥîr
  44. וַיִּתֵּ֣ן And gave nātan לָ֭הֶם hēm אַרְצ֣וֹת them the lands ʾereṣ גּוֹיִ֑ם of the heathen: gôy וַעֲמַ֖ל the labour ʿāmāl לְאֻמִּ֣ים of the people; lĕʾōm יִירָֽשׁוּ׃ and they inherited yāraš
  45. בַּעֲב֤וּר׀ That ʿābûr יִשְׁמְר֣וּ they might observe šāmar חֻ֭קָּיו his statutes, ḥōq וְתוֹרֹתָ֥יו his laws. tôrâ יִנְצֹ֗רוּ and keep nāṣar הַֽלְלוּ Praise hālal יָֽהּ׃ ye the Lord. yāh
