କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାର ଚରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟର ଗଭୀରତା ରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ପା ରେ ନାହିଁ। କବଳେ କିଛି କ୍ଷଣ ପାଇଁ ସମାନେେ ବାକ୍ଯକୁ ଧରି ରଖନ୍ତି। ପରେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ବାକ୍ଯ ୟୋଗୁ ବିପଦ ଆ ସେ ବା ସମାନେେ ନିର୍ୟ୍ଯାତିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସେତବେେଳେ ସମାନେେ ତୁରନ୍ତ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରନ୍ତି।

And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
