1 எத்தியோப்பியா தேசத்து ஸ்திரீயை மோசே விவாகம்பண்ணியிருந்தபடியினால், மிரியாமும் ஆரோனும் அவன் விவாகம்பண்ணின எத்தியோப்பியா தேசத்து ஸ்திரீயினிமித்தம் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பேசி: And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

2 கர்த்தர் மோசேயைக் கொண்டுமாத்திரம் பேசினாரோ, எங்களைக்கொண்டும் அவர் பேசினதில்லையோ என்றார்கள். கர்த்தர் அதைக் கேட்டார். And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.

3 மோசேயானவன் பூமியிலுள்ள சகல மனிதரிலும் மிகுந்த சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவனாயிருந்தான். (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

4 சடுதியிலே கர்த்தர் மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் மிரியாமையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மூன்றுபேரும் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்குப் புறப்பட்டுவாருங்கள் என்றார்; மூன்றுபேரும் போனார்கள். And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.

5 கர்த்தர் மேகத்தூணில் இறங்கி, கூடாரவாசலிலே நின்று, ஆரோனையும் மிரியாமையும் கூப்பிட்டார்; அவர்கள் இருவரும் போனார்கள். And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

6 அப்பொழுது அவர்: என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளுங்கள்; உங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒருவன் தீர்க்கதரிசியாயிருந்தால், கர்த்தராகிய நான் தரிசனத்தில் என்னை அவனுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தி, சொப்பனத்தில் அவனோடே பேசுவேன். And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

7 என் தாசனாகிய மோசேயோ அப்படிப்பட்டவன் அல்ல, என் வீட்டில் எங்கும் அவன் உண்மையுள்ளவன். My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

8 நான் அவனுடன் மறைபொருளாக அல்ல, முகமுகமாகவும் பிரத்தியட்சமாகவும் பேசுகிறேன்; அவன் கர்த்தரின் சாயலைக் காண்கிறான்; இப்படியிருக்க, நீங்கள் என் தாசனாகிய மோசேக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பேச, உங்களுக்குப் பயமில்லாமற்போனதென்ன என்றார். With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

9 கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் அவர்கள்மேல் மூண்டது; அவர் போய்விட்டார். And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

10 மேகம் கூடாரத்தை விட்டு நீங்கிப்போயிற்று; மிரியாம் உறைந்த மழையின் வெண்மைபோன்ற குஷ்டரோகியானாள்; ஆரோன் மிரியாமைப் பார்த்தபோது, அவள் குஷ்டரோகியாயிருக்கக் கண்டான். And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

11 அப்பொழுது ஆரோன் மோசேயை நோக்கி: ஆ, என் ஆண்டவனே, நாங்கள் புத்தியீனமாய்ச் செய்த இந்தப் பாவத்தை எங்கள்மேல் சுமத்தாதிரும். And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

12 தன் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் பாதி மாம்சம் அழுகிச் செத்துவிழுந்த பிள்ளையைப்போல அவள் ஆகாதிருப்பாளாக என்றான். Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.

13 அப்பொழுது மோசே கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: என் தேவனே, அவளைக் குணமாக்கும் என்று கெஞ்சினான். And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

14 கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: அவள் தகப்பன் அவள் முகத்திலே காறித் துப்பினதுண்டானால், அவள் ஏழுநாள் வெட்கப்படவேண்டாமோ, அதுபோலவே அவள் ஏழுநாள் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே விலக்கப்பட்டிருந்து, பின்பு சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளப்படக்கடவள் என்றார். And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

15 அப்படியே மிரியாம் ஏழுநாள் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே விலக்கப்பட்டிருந்தாள்; மிரியாம் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளப்படுமட்டும் ஜனங்கள் பிரயாணம்பண்ணாதிருந்தார்கள். And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

16 பின்பு, ஜனங்கள் ஆஸரோத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, பாரான் வனாந்தரத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள். And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.

1 Eththiyoppiyaa thaesaththu sthireeyai Moses vivaakampannnniyirunthapatiyinaal, miriyaamum aaronum avan vivaakampannnnina eththiyoppiyaa thaesaththu sthireeyinimiththam avanukku virothamaayp paesi: And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

2 Karththar Mosesyaik konndumaaththiram paesinaaro, engalaikkonndum avar paesinathillaiyo entarkal. Karththar athaik kaettar. And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.

3 Mosesyaanavan poomiyilulla sakala manitharilum mikuntha saanthakunamullavanaayirunthaan. (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

4 Saduthiyilae Karththar Mosesyaiyum aaronaiyum miriyaamaiyum Nnokki: neengal moontupaerum aasarippuk koodaaraththukkup purappattuvaarungal entar; moontupaerum ponaarkal. And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.

5 Karththar maekaththoonnil irangi, koodaaravaasalilae nintu, aaronaiyum miriyaamaiyum kooppittar; avarkal iruvarum ponaarkal. And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

6 Appoluthu avar: en vaarththaikalaik kaelungal; ungalukkullae oruvan theerkkatharisiyaayirunthaal, karththaraakiya naan tharisanaththil ennai avanukku velippaduththi, soppanaththil avanotae paesuvaen. And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

7 En thaasanaakiya Mosesyo appatippattavan alla, en veettil engum avan unnmaiyullavan. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

8 Naan avanudan maraiporulaaka alla, mukamukamaakavum piraththiyatchamaakavum paesukiraேn; avan karththarin saayalaik kaannkiraan; ippatiyirukka, neengal en thaasanaakiya Moseskku virothamaayp paesa, ungalukkup payamillaamarponathenna entar. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

9 Karththarutaiya kopam avarkalmael moonndathu; avar poyvittar. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

10 Maekam koodaaraththai vittu neengippoyittaு; miriyaam uraintha malaiyin vennmaiponta kushdarokiyaanaal; aaron miriyaamaip paarththapothu, aval kushdarokiyaayirukkak kanndaan. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

11 Appoluthu aaron Mosesyai Nnokki: aa, en aanndavanae, naangal puththiyeenamaaych seytha inthap paavaththai engalmael sumaththaathirum. And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

12 Than thaayin karppaththil paathi maamsam alukich seththuviluntha pillaiyaippola aval aakaathiruppaalaaka entan. Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.

13 Appoluthu Moses karththarai Nnokki: en thaevanae, avalaik kunamaakkum entu kenjinaan. And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

14 Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: aval thakappan aval mukaththilae kaarith thuppinathunndaanaal, aval aelunaal vetkappadavaenndaamo, athupolavae aval aelunaal paalayaththukkup purampae vilakkappattirunthu, pinpu serththukkollappadakkadaval entar. And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.

15 Appatiyae miriyaam aelunaal paalayaththukkup purampae vilakkappattirunthaal; miriyaam serththukkollappadumattum janangal pirayaanampannnnaathirunthaarkal. And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

16 Pinpu, janangal aasaroththilirunthu purappattu, paaraan vanaantharaththilae paalayamiranginaarkal. And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
