וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר spake dābar יְהוָ֖ה And the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶל unto ʾēl מֹשֶׁ֥ה Moses, mōše לֵּאמֹֽר׃ saying, ʾāmar

דַּבֵּ֞ר Speak dābar אֶל unto ʾēl בְּנֵ֤י the children bēn יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel, yiśrāʾēl וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֣ and say ʾāmar אֲלֵהֶ֔ם unto ʾēl אִ֕ישׁ a man ʾîš כִּ֥י them, When kî יַפְלִ֖א shall make a singular pālāʾ נֶ֑דֶר vow, neder בְּעֶרְכְּךָ֥ by thy estimation. ʿērek נְפָשֹׁ֖ת the persons nepeš לַֽיהוָֽה׃ for the Lord yĕhōwâ

וְהָיָ֤ה shall be hāyâ עֶרְכְּךָ֙ And thy estimation ʿērek הַזָּכָ֔ר of the male zākār מִבֶּן֙ old bēn עֶשְׂרִ֣ים from twenty ʿeśrîm שָׁנָ֔ה years šāne וְעַ֖ד even unto ʿad בֶּן old, bēn שִׁשִּׁ֣ים sixty šiššîm שָׁנָ֑ה years šāne וְהָיָ֣ה shall be hāyâ עֶרְכְּךָ֗ even thy estimation ʿērek חֲמִשִּׁ֛ים fifty ḥămiššîm שֶׁ֥קֶל shekels šeqel כֶּ֖סֶף of silver, kesep בְּשֶׁ֥קֶל after the shekel šeqel הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ of the sanctuary. qōdeš

וְאִם And if ʾim נְקֵבָ֖ה a female, nĕqēbâ הִ֑וא it hûʾ וְהָיָ֥ה shall be hāyâ עֶרְכְּךָ֖ then thy estimation ʿērek שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים thirty šĕlôšîm שָֽׁקֶל׃ shekels. šeqel

וְאִ֨ם And if ʾim מִבֶּן old bēn חָמֵ֜שׁ from five ḥāmēš שָׁנִ֗ים years šāne וְעַד֙ even unto ʿad בֶּן old, bēn עֶשְׂרִ֣ים twenty ʿeśrîm שָׁנָ֔ה years šāne וְהָיָ֧ה shall be hāyâ עֶרְכְּךָ֛ then thy estimation ʿērek הַזָּכָ֖ר of the male zākār עֶשְׂרִ֣ים twenty ʿeśrîm שְׁקָלִ֑ים shekels, šeqel וְלַנְּקֵבָ֖ה and for the female nĕqēbâ עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת ten ʿeśer שְׁקָלִֽים׃ shekels. šeqel

וְאִ֣ם And if ʾim מִבֶּן old bēn חֹ֗דֶשׁ from a month ḥōdeš וְעַד֙ even unto ʿad בֶּן old, bēn חָמֵ֣שׁ five ḥāmēš שָׁנִ֔ים years šāne וְהָיָ֤ה shall be hāyâ עֶרְכְּךָ֙ then thy estimation ʿērek הַזָּכָ֔ר of the male zākār חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה five ḥāmēš שְׁקָלִ֖ים shekels šeqel כָּ֑סֶף of silver, kesep וְלַנְּקֵבָ֣ה and for the female nĕqēbâ עֶרְכְּךָ֔ thy estimation ʿērek שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת three šālôš שְׁקָלִ֖ים shekels šeqel כָּֽסֶף׃ of silver. kesep

וְ֠אִם And if ʾim מִבֶּן old bēn שִׁשִּׁ֨ים from sixty šiššîm שָׁנָ֤ה years šāne וָמַ֙עְלָה֙ and above; maʿal אִם if ʾim זָכָ֔ר a male, zākār וְהָיָ֣ה shall be hāyâ עֶרְכְּךָ֔ then thy estimation ʿērek חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה fifteen ḥāmēš עָשָׂ֖ר ʿāśār שָׁ֑קֶל shekels, šeqel וְלַנְּקֵבָ֖ה and for the female nĕqēbâ עֲשָׂרָ֥ה ten ʿeśer שְׁקָלִֽים׃ shekels. šeqel

וְאִם But if ʾim מָ֥ךְ be poorer mûk הוּא֙ he hûʾ מֵֽעֶרְכֶּ֔ךָ than thy estimation, ʿērek וְהֶֽעֱמִידוֹ֙ then he shall present himself ʿāmad לִפְנֵ֣י before pānîm הַכֹּהֵ֔ן the priest, kōhēn וְהֶֽעֱרִ֥יךְ shall value ʿārak אֹת֖וֹ ʾēt הַכֹּהֵ֑ן and the priest kōhēn עַל ʿal פִּ֗י him; according to pe אֲשֶׁ֤ר ʾăšer תַּשִּׂיג֙ nāśag יַ֣ד his ability yād הַנֹּדֵ֔ר that vowed nādar יַֽעֲרִיכֶ֖נּוּ value him. ʿārak הַכֹּהֵֽן׃ shall the priest kōhēn

וְאִם And if ʾim בְּהֵמָ֔ה a beast, bĕhēmâ אֲשֶׁ֨ר whereof ʾăšer יַקְרִ֧יבוּ men bring qārab מִמֶּ֛נָּה min קָרְבָּ֖ן an offering qorbān לַֽיהוָ֑ה unto the Lord, yĕhōwâ כֹּל֩ all kōl אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ʾăšer יִתֵּ֥ן giveth nātan מִמֶּ֛נּוּ of min לַֽיהוָ֖ה such unto the Lord yĕhōwâ יִֽהְיֶה shall be hāyâ קֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ holy. qōdeš

לֹ֣א He shall not lōʾ יַֽחֲלִיפֶ֗נּוּ alter ḥālap וְלֹֽא it, nor lōʾ יָמִ֥יר change mûr אֹת֛וֹ ʾēt ט֥וֹב it, a good ṭôb בְּרָ֖ע for a bad, raʿ אוֹ or ʾô רַ֣ע a bad raʿ בְּט֑וֹב for a good: ṭôb וְאִם and if ʾim הָמֵ֨ר he shall at all mûr יָמִ֤יר change mûr בְּהֵמָה֙ beast bĕhēmâ בִּבְהֵמָ֔ה for beast, bĕhēmâ וְהָֽיָה thereof shall be hāyâ ה֥וּא then it hûʾ וּתְמֽוּרָת֖וֹ and the exchange tĕmûrâ יִֽהְיֶה hāyâ קֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ holy. qōdeš

וְאִם֙ And if ʾim כָּל any kōl בְּהֵמָ֣ה beast, bĕhēmâ טְמֵאָ֔ה unclean ṭāmēʾ אֲ֠שֶׁר of which ʾăšer לֹֽא they do not lōʾ יַקְרִ֧יבוּ offer qārab מִמֶּ֛נָּה min קָרְבָּ֖ן a sacrifice qorbān לַֽיהוָ֑ה unto the Lord, yĕhōwâ וְהֶֽעֱמִ֥יד then he shall present ʿāmad אֶת ʾēt הַבְּהֵמָ֖ה the beast bĕhēmâ לִפְנֵ֥י before pānîm הַכֹּהֵֽן׃ the priest: kōhēn

וְהֶֽעֱרִ֤יךְ shall value ʿārak הַכֹּהֵן֙ And the priest kōhēn אֹתָ֔הּ ʾēt בֵּ֥ין it, whether bên ט֖וֹב it be good ṭôb וּבֵ֣ין or bên רָ֑ע bad: raʿ כְּעֶרְכְּךָ֥ as thou valuest ʿērek הַכֹּהֵ֖ן it, the priest, kōhēn כֵּ֥ן so kēn יִֽהְיֶֽה׃ shall it be. hāyâ

וְאִם But if ʾim גָּאֹ֖ל he will at all gāʾal יִגְאָלֶ֑נָּה redeem gāʾal וְיָסַ֥ף it, then he shall add yāsap חֲמִֽישִׁת֖וֹ a fifth ḥămîšî עַל thereof unto ʿal עֶרְכֶּֽךָ׃ thy estimation. ʿērek

וְאִ֗ישׁ a man ʾîš כִּֽי And when kî יַקְדִּ֨שׁ shall sanctify qādaš אֶת ʾēt בֵּית֥וֹ his house bayit קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ holy qōdeš לַֽיהוָ֔ה unto the Lord, yĕhōwâ וְהֶֽעֱרִיכוֹ֙ shall estimate ʿārak הַכֹּהֵ֔ן then the priest kōhēn בֵּ֥ין it, whether bên ט֖וֹב it be good ṭôb וּבֵ֣ין bên רָ֑ע or bad: raʿ כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֨ר as ʾăšer יַֽעֲרִ֥יךְ shall estimate ʿārak אֹת֛וֹ ʾēt הַכֹּהֵ֖ן the priest kōhēn כֵּ֥ן it, so kēn יָקֽוּם׃ shall it stand. qûm

וְאִ֨ם And if ʾim הַמַּקְדִּ֔ישׁ he that sanctified qādaš יִגְאַ֖ל it will redeem gāʾal אֶת ʾēt בֵּית֑וֹ his house, bayit וְ֠יָסַף then he shall add yāsap חֲמִישִׁ֧ית the fifth ḥămîšî כֶּֽסֶף of the money kesep עֶרְכְּךָ֛ of thy estimation ʿērek עָלָ֖יו unto ʿal וְהָ֥יָה it, and it shall be his. hāyâ לֽוֹ׃

וְאִ֣ם׀ And if ʾim מִשְּׂדֵ֣ה of a field śāde אֲחֻזָּת֗וֹ of his possession, ʾăḥuzzâ יַקְדִּ֥ישׁ shall sanctify qādaš אִישׁ֙ a man ʾîš לַֽיהוָ֔ה unto the Lord yĕhōwâ וְהָיָ֥ה shall be hāyâ עֶרְכְּךָ֖ then thy estimation ʿērek לְפִ֣י according to pe זַרְע֑וֹ the seed zeraʿ זֶ֚רַע seed zeraʿ חֹ֣מֶר thereof: an homer ḥōmer שְׂעֹרִ֔ים of barley śĕʿōrâ בַּֽחֲמִשִּׁ֖ים at fifty ḥămiššîm שֶׁ֥קֶל shekels šeqel כָּֽסֶף׃ of silver. kesep

אִם If ʾim מִשְּׁנַ֥ת from the year šāne הַיֹּבֵ֖ל of jubile, yôbēl יַקְדִּ֣ישׁ he sanctify qādaš שָׂדֵ֑הוּ his field śāde כְּעֶרְכְּךָ֖ according to thy estimation ʿērek יָקֽוּם׃ it shall stand. qûm

וְאִם But if ʾim אַחַ֣ר after ʾaḥar הַיֹּבֵל֮ the jubile, yôbēl יַקְדִּ֣ישׁ he sanctify qādaš שָׂדֵהוּ֒ his field śāde וְחִשַּׁב shall reckon ḥāšab ל֨וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֜ן then the priest kōhēn אֶת unto him ʾēt הַכֶּ֗סֶף the money kesep עַל ʿal פִּ֤י according to pe הַשָּׁנִים֙ the years šāne הַנּ֣וֹתָרֹ֔ת that remain, yātar עַ֖ד even unto ʿad שְׁנַ֣ת the year šāne הַיֹּבֵ֑ל of the jubile, yôbēl וְנִגְרַ֖ע and it shall be abated gāraʿ מֵֽעֶרְכֶּֽךָ׃ from thy estimation. ʿērek

וְאִם And if ʾim גָּאֹ֤ל will in any wise gāʾal יִגְאַל֙ redeem gāʾal אֶת ʾēt הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה the field śāde הַמַּקְדִּ֖ישׁ he that sanctified qādaš אֹת֑וֹ ʾēt וְ֠יָסַף it, then he shall add yāsap חֲמִשִׁ֧ית the fifth ḥămîšî כֶּֽסֶף of the money kesep עֶרְכְּךָ֛ of thy estimation ʿērek עָלָ֖יו unto ʿal וְקָ֥ם it, and it shall be assured to him. qûm לֽוֹ׃

וְאִם And if ʾim לֹ֤א he will not lōʾ יִגְאַל֙ redeem gāʾal אֶת ʾēt הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה the field, śāde וְאִם or if ʾim מָכַ֥ר he have sold mākar אֶת ʾēt הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה the field śāde לְאִ֣ישׁ man, ʾîš אַחֵ֑ר to another ʾaḥēr לֹ֥א it shall not lōʾ יִגָּאֵ֖ל be redeemed gāʾal עֽוֹד׃ any more. ʿôd

וְהָיָ֨ה shall be hāyâ הַשָּׂדֶ֜ה But the field, śāde בְּצֵאת֣וֹ when it goeth out yāṣāʾ בַיֹּבֵ֗ל in the jubile, yôbēl קֹ֛דֶשׁ holy qōdeš לַֽיהוָ֖ה unto the Lord, yĕhōwâ כִּשְׂדֵ֣ה as a field śāde הַחֵ֑רֶם devoted; ḥērem לַכֹּהֵ֖ן the priest's. kōhēn תִּֽהְיֶ֥ה thereof shall be hāyâ אֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃ the possession ʾăḥuzzâ

וְאִם֙ And if ʾim אֶת ʾēt שְׂדֵ֣ה a field śāde מִקְנָת֔וֹ which he hath bought, miqnâ אֲשֶׁ֕ר which ʾăšer לֹ֖א not lōʾ מִשְּׂדֵ֣ה of the fields śāde אֲחֻזָּת֑וֹ of his possession; ʾăḥuzzâ יַקְדִּ֖ישׁ sanctify qādaš לַֽיהוָֽה׃ unto the Lord yĕhōwâ

וְחִשַּׁב shall reckon ḥāšab ל֣וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֗ן Then the priest kōhēn אֵ֚ת unto him ʾēt מִכְסַ֣ת the worth miksâ הָֽעֶרְכְּךָ֔ of thy estimation, ʿērek עַ֖ד unto ʿad שְׁנַ֣ת the year šāne הַיֹּבֵ֑ל of the jubile: yôbēl וְנָתַ֤ן and he shall give nātan אֶת ʾēt הָֽעֶרְכְּךָ֙ thine estimation ʿērek בַּיּ֣וֹם day, yôm הַה֔וּא in that hûʾ קֹ֖דֶשׁ a holy thing qōdeš לַֽיהוָֽה׃ unto the Lord. yĕhōwâ

בִּשְׁנַ֤ת In the year šāne הַיּוֹבֵל֙ of the jubile yôbēl יָשׁ֣וּב shall return šûb הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה the field śāde לַֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר unto him ʾăšer קָנָ֖הוּ it was bought, qānâ מֵֽאִתּ֑וֹ of whom ʾēt לַֽאֲשֶׁר to him to whom ʾăšer ל֖וֹ אֲחֻזַּ֥ת the possession ʾăḥuzzâ הָאָֽרֶץ׃ of the land ʾereṣ

וְכָל And all kōl עֶרְכְּךָ֔ thy estimations ʿērek יִֽהְיֶ֖ה shall be hāyâ בְּשֶׁ֣קֶל according to the shekel šeqel הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ of the sanctuary: qōdeš עֶשְׂרִ֥ים twenty ʿeśrîm גֵּרָ֖ה gerahs gērâ יִֽהְיֶ֥ה shall be hāyâ הַשָּֽׁקֶל׃ the shekel. šeqel

אַךְ Only ʾak בְּכ֞וֹר the firstling bĕkôr אֲשֶׁר which ʾăšer יְבֻכַּ֤ר firstling, bākar לַֽיהוָה֙ should be the Lord's yĕhōwâ בִּבְהֵמָ֔ה of the beasts, bĕhēmâ לֹֽא no lōʾ יַקְדִּ֥ישׁ shall sanctify qādaš אִ֖ישׁ man ʾîš אֹת֑וֹ ʾēt אִם it; whether ʾim שׁ֣וֹר ox, šôr אִם or ʾim שֶׂ֔ה sheep: śe לַֽיהוָ֖ה the Lord's. yĕhōwâ הֽוּא׃ it hûʾ

וְאִ֨ם And if ʾim בַּבְּהֵמָ֤ה beast, bĕhēmâ הַטְּמֵאָה֙ of an unclean ṭāmēʾ וּפָדָ֣ה then he shall redeem pādâ בְעֶרְכֶּ֔ךָ according to thine estimation, ʿērek וְיָסַ֥ף and shall add yāsap חֲמִשִׁת֖וֹ a fifth ḥămîšî עָלָ֑יו of it thereto: ʿal וְאִם or if ʾim לֹ֥א it be not lōʾ יִגָּאֵ֖ל redeemed, gāʾal וְנִמְכַּ֥ר then it shall be sold mākar בְּעֶרְכֶּֽךָ׃ according to thy estimation. ʿērek

אַךְ Notwithstanding ʾak כָּל kōl חֵ֡רֶם devoted thing, ḥērem אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ʾăšer יַחֲרִם֩ shall devote ḥāram אִ֨ישׁ a man ʾîš לַֽיהוָ֜ה unto the Lord yĕhōwâ מִכָּל of all kōl אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer ל֗וֹ מֵאָדָ֤ם he hath, of man ʾādām וּבְהֵמָה֙ and beast, bĕhēmâ וּמִשְּׂדֵ֣ה and of the field śāde אֲחֻזָּת֔וֹ of his possession, ʾăḥuzzâ לֹ֥א no lōʾ יִמָּכֵ֖ר shall be sold mākar וְלֹ֣א lōʾ יִגָּאֵ֑ל or redeemed: gāʾal כָּל every kōl חֵ֕רֶם devoted thing ḥērem קֹֽדֶשׁ most qōdeš קָֽדָשִׁ֥ים holy qōdeš ה֖וּא hûʾ לַיהוָֽה׃ unto the Lord. yĕhōwâ

כָּל kōl חֵ֗רֶם devoted, ḥērem אֲשֶׁ֧ר which ʾăšer יָחֳרַ֛ם shall be devoted ḥāram מִן of min הָאָדָ֖ם men, ʾādām לֹ֣א None lōʾ יִפָּדֶ֑ה shall be redeemed; pādâ מ֖וֹת shall surely mût יוּמָֽת׃ be put to death. mût

וְכָל And all kōl מַעְשַׂ֨ר the tithe maʿăśēr הָאָ֜רֶץ of the land, ʾereṣ מִזֶּ֤רַע of the seed zeraʿ הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ of the land, ʾereṣ מִפְּרִ֣י of the fruit pĕrî הָעֵ֔ץ of the tree, ʿēṣ לַיהוָ֖ה the Lord's: yĕhōwâ ה֑וּא hûʾ קֹ֖דֶשׁ holy qōdeš לַֽיהוָֽה׃ unto the Lord. yĕhōwâ

וְאִם And if ʾim גָּאֹ֥ל will at all gāʾal יִגְאַ֛ל redeem gāʾal אִ֖ישׁ a man ʾîš מִמַּֽעַשְׂר֑וֹ of his tithes, maʿăśēr חֲמִשִׁית֖וֹ the fifth thereof. ḥămîšî יֹסֵ֥ף he shall add yāsap עָלָֽיו׃ thereto ʿal

וְכָל And concerning kōl מַעְשַׂ֤ר the tithe maʿăśēr בָּקָר֙ of the herd, bāqār וָצֹ֔אן or of the flock, ṣōn כֹּ֥ל of whatsoever kōl אֲשֶׁר ʾăšer יַעֲבֹ֖ר passeth ʿābar תַּ֣חַת under taḥat הַשָּׁ֑בֶט the rod, šēbeṭ הָֽעֲשִׂירִ֕י the tenth ʿăśîrî יִֽהְיֶה shall be hāyâ קֹּ֖דֶשׁ holy qōdeš לַֽיהוָֽה׃ unto the Lord. yĕhōwâ

לֹ֧א He shall not lōʾ יְבַקֵּ֛ר search bāqar בֵּֽין whether bên ט֥וֹב it be good ṭôb לָרַ֖ע or bad, raʿ וְלֹ֣א neither lōʾ יְמִירֶ֑נּוּ shall he change mûr וְאִם it: and if ʾim הָמֵ֣ר he change mûr יְמִירֶ֔נּוּ it at all, mûr וְהָֽיָה thereof shall be hāyâ ה֧וּא then both it hûʾ וּתְמוּרָת֛וֹ and the change tĕmûrâ יִֽהְיֶה hāyâ קֹ֖דֶשׁ holy; qōdeš לֹ֥א it shall not lōʾ יִגָּאֵֽל׃ be redeemed. gāʾal

אֵ֣לֶּה These ʾēlle הַמִּצְוֹ֗ת the commandments, miṣwâ אֲשֶׁ֨ר which ʾăšer צִוָּ֧ה commanded ṣāwâ יְהוָ֛ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶת ʾēt מֹשֶׁ֖ה Moses mōše אֶל for ʾēl בְּנֵ֣י the children bēn יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel yiśrāʾēl בְּהַ֖ר in mount har סִינָֽי׃ Sinai. sînay
