ಆಗ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಕಲ್ದೀಯರ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಖಾರಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದನು; ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಸತ್ತಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ನೀವು ಈಗ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು.

ಯೆಶಾಯ 41:2
ಮೂಡಣದಿಂದ ನೀತಿವಂತ ನನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಪಾದಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಕರೆದು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ರಾಜರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನು ಯಾರು? ಅವನ ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ದೂಳನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಬಿಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾರಿ ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಯೆಶಾಯ 41:9
ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅದರ ಕೊನೆಯಿಂದ ಕರೆದು--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
