Acts 7:3
ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಂಧುಬಳಗವನ್ನೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ತೋರಿ ಸುವ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನದಿಯ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು;

ಲೋಟನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಂದ ಅಗಲಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ನೀನಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕೂ ಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೂ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಕ್ಕೂ ನೋಡು.

ಲೂಕನು 14:33
ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾ ದರೂ ತನಗಿರುವವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯನಾಗಿರಲಾರನು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ--ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನೀವು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿರಿ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಯಾವದನ್ನೂ ಮುಟ್ಟದಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಕರೆಯ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗಿ ತಾನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು; ತಾನು ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾದ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಯಾವದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಹೊರಟನು.

ನನಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುವವನು ನನಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ; ಮತ್ತು ಮಗನ ನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ಮಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲೀ ನನಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾಡುವವನು ನನಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ.
