ಹದದೆಜೆರನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಅರಸುಗಳೆ ಲ್ಲರೂ ತಾವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಡೆಯ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿದರು.ಹೀಗೆ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ತಿರಿಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಹಾಚೋರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅದರ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿ ಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಹಾಚೋರು ಮೊದಲು ಆ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಲೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಬೆನ್ಹದದನು ತನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೂಡಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನ ಬಳಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುದುರೆಗಳೂ ರಥಗಳೂ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಮೂವತ್ತೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಅರಸುಗಳಿದ್ದರು. ಅವನು ಏರಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಹದರೆಜರನ ಸೇವಕರು ತಾವು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಸೋಲಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವರು ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರಾದರು. ತರುವಾಯ ಅರಾ ಮ್ಯರು ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರು.
