திராட்சக்குலைகளை அறுக்கிறவனைப்போல உன் கையைத் திரும்பக் கூடைகளின்மேல் போடென்று சொல்லி, அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலில் மீதியாயிருந்த கனியைத் திராட்சச்செடியின் கனியைப்போல நன்றாய்ப் பொறுக்கிக்கொண்டுபோவார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர், “தங்கள் தேசத்தில் விடப்பட்டிருந்த இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களை ஒன்று சேருங்கள், நீங்கள் திராட்சைத் தோட்டத்தில் இறுதியில் பழுத்த பழங்களை சேகரிப்பதுபோன்று அவர்களை ஒன்று சேருங்கள். ஒரு வேலைக்காரன் ஒவ்வொரு திராட்சைப் பழத்தையும் பறிக்குமுன் சோதிப்பதுபோன்று சோதியுங்கள்” என்று கூறுகிறார்.
