அப்பொழுது யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய, சிதேக்கியாவும் சகல யுத்த மனுஷரும் அவர்களைக் கண்டபோது, ஓடி, இராத்திரி காலத்தில் ராஜாவுடைய தோட்டத்துவழியே, இரண்டு மதில்களுக்கு நடுவான வாசலால் நகரத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப் போனார்கள்; அவன் வயல்வெளியின் வழியே போய்விட்டான்.

அப்பொழுது யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய சிதேக்கியாவும் எல்லாப் போர் வீர்களும் அவர்களைக் கண்டபோது, ஓடி, இரவு நேரத்தில் ராஜாவின் தோட்டத்துவழியே, இரண்டு மதில்களுக்கு நடுவான வாசலால் நகரத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்போனார்கள்; அவன் வயல்வெளியின் வழியே போய்விட்டான்.

யூதாவின் அரசனான சிதேக்கியா பாபிலோன் அதிகாரிகளைப் பார்த்தான். அவன் தனது படை வீரர்களோடு ஓடிப்போனான். அவர்கள் இரவில் எருசலேமை விட்டனர். அவர்கள் அரசனது தோட்டத்தின் வழியாகச் சென்றனர். இரண்டு சுவர்களுக்கு இடையில் இருந்த வாசல் வழியாகச் சென்றனர். பிறகு அவர்கள் வனாந்தரத்தை நோக்கிப் போனார்கள்.

Appoluthu yoothaavin raajaavaakiya, sithaekkiyaavum sakala yuththa manusharum avarkalaik kanndapothu, oti, iraaththiri kaalaththil raajaavutaiya thottaththuvaliyae, iranndu mathilkalukku naduvaana vaasalaal nakaraththilirunthu purappattup ponaarkal; avan vayalveliyin valiyae poyvittan.

Zedekiah צִדְקִיָּ֨הוּ ṣidqiyyâ tseed-kee-YA
the king מֶֽלֶךְ melek meh-LEK
of Judah יְהוּדָ֜ה yĕhûdâ yeh-hoo-DA
them, and all וְכֹ֣ל׀ kōl kole
the men אַנְשֵׁ֣י ʾĕnôš ay-NOHSH
of war, הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה milḥāmâ meel-ha-MA
then they fled, וַֽ֠יִּבְרְחוּ bāraḥ ba-RAHK
and went forth וַיֵּצְא֨וּ yāṣāʾ ya-TSA
by night, לַ֤יְלָה layil la-YEEL
out of מִן min meen
the city הָעִיר֙ ʿîr eer
by the way דֶּ֚רֶךְ derek deh-REK
garden, גַּ֣ן gan ɡahn
of the king's הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ melek meh-LEK
by the gate בְּשַׁ֖עַר šaʿar sha-AR
betwixt בֵּ֣ין bên bane
the two walls: הַחֹמֹתָ֑יִם ḥômâ hoh-MA
and he went out וַיֵּצֵ֖א yāṣāʾ ya-TSA
the way דֶּ֥רֶךְ derek deh-REK
