அவர்களுடைய தேவர்களை நெருப்பிலே போட்டுவிட்டது மெய்தான்; அவைகள் தேவர்கள் அல்லவே, மனுஷர் கைவேலியான மரமும் கல்லுந்தானே; ஆகையால் அவைகளை நீர்த்துளியாக்கினார்கள்.

கர்த்தாவே, அந்த நாடுகளில் உள்ள தெய்வங்களை அசீரியாவின் அரசர்கள் எரித்திருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது உண்மைதான். ஆனால் அவை உண்மையான தெய்வங்கள் அல்ல. அவைகள் மனிதர்களால் செய்யப்பட்ட சிலைகள்தான். அவைகள் மரமும் கல்லும் தான். எனவேதான் அசீரியாவின் அரசர்களால் அவற்றை அழிக்க முடிந்தது.

their gods אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM

for כִּי֩ kî kee
no לֹ֨א lōʾ loh
gods, אֱלֹהִ֜ים ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
they הֵ֗מָּה hēm hame

the work מַעֲשֵׂ֧ה maʿăśe ma-uh-SEH
