ஏசாயா 10:16
ஆகையால் சேனைகளின் ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தர், அவனைச்சேர்ந்த கொழுத்தவர்களுக்குள்ளே இளைப்பை அனுப்புவார்; பட்சிக்கும் அக்கினியைப்போலும் ஒரு அக்கினியை அவன் மகிமையின்கீழ் கொளுத்துவார்.

அசீரியா தன்னைப் பெரிதாக நினைத்துகொள்ளும். ஆனால் சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் அசீரியாவிற்கு எதிராக மிகப் பயங்கரமான நோயை அனுப்புவார். நோயுற்றவன் தன் எடையை இழப்பது போன்று அசீரியா தனது செல்வத்தையும் பெலத்தையும் இழக்கும். பிறகு அசீரியாவின் மகிமையும் அழியும். எல்லாம் அழியும்வரை நெருப்பு எரிவதுபோல் அது இருக்கும்.
