ஐந்தில் ஒன்று பார்வோனுக்குச் சேரும் வாரம் என்று யோசேப்பு இட்ட கட்டளைப்படி எகிப்து தேசத்திலே இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் நடந்து வருகிறது; ஆசாரியரின் நிலம் மாத்திரம் பார்வோனைச் சேராமல் நீங்கலாயிருந்தது.

எனவே, யோசேப்பு அப்போது ஒரு சட்டத்தை இயற்றினான். அது இன்றும் உள்ளது. அதன்படி நில வருவாயில் ஐந்தில் ஒரு பாகமானது பார்வோனுக்குரியது. பார்வோனுக்கு எல்லா நிலமும் சொந்தமாக இருக்கும். ஆசாரியர்களின் நிலம் மட்டுமே, பார்வோனுக்குச் சொந்தமாகவில்லை.

யோசேப்பு எகிப்து நாட்டில் நிலச்சட்டம் ஒன்று கொண்டுவந்தார். அது இன்றுவரை வழக்கில் உள்ளது. ஐந்திலொரு பாகம் பாவோனுக்கு உரியது என்றாயிற்று. அர்ச்சகர்களின் நிலபுலன்கள் மட்டும் பார்வோனின் உடைமையாகவில்லை.
