அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபுக்குக் கோபம் எழும்பி, லாபானோடே வாக்குவாதம்பண்ணி: நீர் என்னை இவ்வளவு உக்கிரமாய்த் தொடர்ந்துவரும்படிக்கு நான் செய்த தப்பிதம் என்ன? நான் செய்த துரோகம் என்ன?

answered וַיַּ֤עַן ʿānâ ah-NA
and Jacob יַֽעֲקֹב֙ yaʿăqōb ya-uh-KOVE
and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
to Laban, לְלָבָ֔ן lābān la-VAHN
What מַה mâ ma
my trespass? פִּשְׁעִי֙ pešaʿ peh-SHA
what מַ֣ה mâ ma
my sin, חַטָּאתִ֔י ḥaṭṭāʾâ ha-ta-AH
that כִּ֥י kî kee
thou hast so hotly pursued דָלַ֖קְתָּ dālaq da-LAHK
after me? אַֽחֲרָֽי׃ ʾaḥar ah-HAHR
