நாங்கள் யூதர் சீமையிலுள்ள மகா தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்துக்குப்போனோம்; அது பெருங்கற்களால் கட்டப்படுகிறது; மதில்களின்மேல் உத்திரங்கள் பாய்ச்சப்பட்டு, அந்த வேலை துரிசாய் நடந்து, அவர்களுக்குக் கைகூடிவருகிறதென்பது ராஜாவுக்குத் தெரியலாவதாக.

தரியு அரசனே! நாங்கள் யூதா பகுதிக்குப் போனது உமக்குத் தெரியும். நாங்கள் மகா தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குப் போனோம். யூதாவிலுள்ள ஜனங்கள் அவ்வாலயத்தைப் பெரிய கற்களால் கட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் அவர்களில் பெரிய மரத்தடிகளை வைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தனர். மிகக் கவனமாக வேலை நடந்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது. யூதா ஜனங்கள் கடுமையாக வேலைச் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தனர். அவர்கள் வேலையை விரைவாகச் செய்கின்றனர், அது விரைவில் முடியும்.
