וַיְבִיאֵ֖נִי Afterward he brought bôʾ אֶל me to ʾēl הַהֵיכָ֑ל the temple, hêkāl וַיָּ֣מָד and measured mādad אֶת ʾēt הָאֵילִ֗ים the posts, ʾayil שֵׁשׁ six šēš אַמּ֨וֹת cubits ʾammâ רֹ֧חַב broad rōḥab מִפּ֛וֹ on the one side, pō וְשֵׁשׁ and six šēš אַמּֽוֹת cubits ʾammâ רֹ֥חַב broad rōḥab מִפּ֖וֹ on the other side, pō רֹ֥חַב the breadth rōḥab הָאֹֽהֶל׃ of the tabernacle. ʾōhel

וְרֹ֣חַב And the breadth rōḥab הַפֶּתַח֮ of the door petaḥ עֶ֣שֶׂר ten ʿeśer אַמּוֹת֒ cubits; ʾammâ וְכִתְפ֣וֹת and the sides kātēp הַפֶּ֔תַח of the door petaḥ חָמֵ֤שׁ five ḥāmēš אַמּוֹת֙ cubits ʾammâ מִפּ֔וֹ on the one side, pō וְחָמֵ֥שׁ and five ḥāmēš אַמּ֖וֹת cubits ʾammâ מִפּ֑וֹ on the other side: pō וַיָּ֤מָד and he measured mādad אָרְכּוֹ֙ the length ʾōrek אַרְבָּעִ֣ים thereof, forty ʾarbāʿîm אַמָּ֔ה cubits: ʾammâ וְרֹ֖חַב and the breadth, rōḥab עֶשְׂרִ֥ים twenty ʿeśrîm אַמָּֽה׃ cubits. ʾammâ

וּבָ֣א Then went bôʾ לִפְנִ֔ימָה he inward, pĕnîmâ וַיָּ֥מָד and measured mādad אֵֽיל the post ʾayil הַפֶּ֖תַח of the door, petaḥ שְׁתַּ֣יִם two šĕnayim אַמּ֑וֹת cubits; ʾammâ וְהַפֶּ֙תַח֙ and the door, petaḥ שֵׁ֣שׁ six šēš אַמּ֔וֹת cubits; ʾammâ וְרֹ֥חַב and the breadth rōḥab הַפֶּ֖תַח of the door, petaḥ שֶׁ֥בַע seven šebaʿ אַמּֽוֹת׃ cubits. ʾammâ

וַיָּ֨מָד So he measured mādad אֶת ʾēt אָרְכּ֜וֹ the length ʾōrek עֶשְׂרִ֣ים thereof, twenty ʿeśrîm אַמָּ֗ה cubits; ʾammâ וְרֹ֛חַב and the breadth, rōḥab עֶשְׂרִ֥ים twenty ʿeśrîm אַמָּ֖ה cubits, ʾammâ אֶל ʾēl פְּנֵ֣י before pānîm הַֽהֵיכָ֑ל the temple: hêkāl וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and he said ʾāmar אֵלַ֔י unto ʾēl זֶ֖ה me, This ze קֹ֥דֶשׁ the most qōdeš הַקֳּדָשִֽׁים׃ holy qōdeš

וַיָּ֥מָד After he measured mādad קִֽיר the wall qîr הַבַּ֖יִת of the house, bayit שֵׁ֣שׁ six šēš אַמּ֑וֹת cubits; ʾammâ וְרֹ֣חַב and the breadth rōḥab הַצֵּלָע֩ of side chamber, ṣēlāʿ אַרְבַּ֨ע four ʾarbaʿ אַמּ֜וֹת cubits, ʾammâ סָבִ֧יב׀ round about sābîb סָבִ֛יב sābîb לַבַּ֖יִת the house bayit סָבִֽיב׃ on every side. sābîb

וְהַצְּלָעוֹת֩ And the side chambers ṣēlāʿ צֵלָ֨ע one ṣēlāʿ אֶל over ʾēl צֵלָ֜ע another, ṣēlāʿ שָׁל֧וֹשׁ three, šālôš וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים and thirty šĕlôšîm פְּעָמִ֗ים in order; paʿam וּ֠בָאוֹת and they entered bôʾ בַּקִּ֨יר into the wall qîr אֲשֶׁר which ʾăšer לַבַּ֧יִת of the house bayit לַצְּלָע֛וֹת for the side chambers ṣēlāʿ סָבִ֥יב׀ round about, sābîb סָבִ֖יב sābîb לִהְי֣וֹת that they might have hāyâ אֲחוּזִ֑ים hold, ʾāḥaz וְלֹֽא not lōʾ יִהְי֥וּ but they had hāyâ אֲחוּזִ֖ים hold ʾāḥaz בְּקִ֥יר in the wall qîr הַבָּֽיִת׃ of the house. bayit

וְֽרָחֲבָ֡ה And an enlarging, rāḥab וְֽנָסְבָה֩ and a winding about sābab לְמַ֨עְלָה still upward maʿal לְמַ֜עְלָה maʿal לַצְּלָע֗וֹת to the side chambers: ṣēlāʿ כִּ֣י for kî מֽוּסַב the winding about mûsāb הַ֠בַּיִת of the house bayit לְמַ֨עְלָה went still upward maʿal לְמַ֜עְלָה maʿal סָבִ֤יב׀ round about sābîb סָבִיב֙ sābîb לַבַּ֔יִת the house: bayit עַל therefore ʿal כֵּ֥ן kēn רֹֽחַב the breadth rōḥab לַבַּ֖יִת of the house bayit לְמָ֑עְלָה upward, maʿal וְכֵ֧ן and so kēn הַתַּחְתּוֹנָ֛ה the lowest taḥtôn יַעֲלֶ֥ה increased ʿālâ עַל to ʿal הָעֶלְיוֹנָ֖ה the highest ʿelyôn לַתִּיכוֹנָֽה׃ by the midst. tîkôn

וְרָאִ֧יתִי I saw rāʾâ לַבַּ֛יִת of the house bayit גֹּ֖בַהּ also the height gōbah סָבִ֣יב׀ round sābîb סָבִ֑יב about: sābîb מיּסְד֤וֹת the foundations mĕyussādâ הַצְּלָעוֹת֙ of the side chambers ṣēlāʿ מְל֣וֹ a full mĕlōʾ הַקָּנֶ֔ה reed qāne שֵׁ֥שׁ of six šēš אַמּ֖וֹת cubits. ʾammâ אַצִּֽילָה׃ great ʾaṣṣîl

רֹ֣חַב The thickness rōḥab הַקִּ֧יר of the wall, qîr אֲֽשֶׁר which ʾăšer לַצֵּלָ֛ע for the side chamber ṣēlāʿ אֶל ʾēl הַח֖וּץ without, ḥûṣ חָמֵ֣שׁ five ḥāmēš אַמּ֑וֹת cubits: ʾammâ וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר and which ʾăšer מֻנָּ֔ח left yānaḥ בֵּ֥ית the place bayit צְלָע֖וֹת of the side chambers ṣēlāʿ אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ʾăšer לַבָּֽיִת׃ within. bayit

וּבֵ֨ין And between bên הַלְּשָׁכ֜וֹת the chambers liškâ רֹ֣חַב the wideness rōḥab עֶשְׂרִ֥ים of twenty ʿeśrîm אַמָּ֛ה cubits ʾammâ סָבִ֥יב round about sābîb לַבַּ֖יִת the house bayit סָבִ֥יב׀ on every side. sābîb סָבִֽיב׃ sābîb

וּפֶ֤תַח And the doors petaḥ הַצֵּלָע֙ of the side chambers ṣēlāʿ לַמֻּנָּ֔ח toward left, yānaḥ פֶּ֤תַח door petaḥ אֶחָד֙ one ʾeḥād דֶּ֣רֶךְ toward derek הַצָּפ֔וֹן the north, ṣāpôn וּפֶ֥תַח door petaḥ אֶחָ֖ד and another ʾeḥād לַדָּר֑וֹם toward the south: dārôm וְרֹ֙חַב֙ and the breadth rōḥab מְק֣וֹם of the place māqôm הַמֻּנָּ֔ח that was left yānaḥ חָמֵ֥שׁ five ḥāmēš אַמּ֖וֹת cubits ʾammâ סָבִ֥יב׀ round about. sābîb סָבִֽיב׃ sābîb

וְהַבִּנְיָ֡ן Now the building binyān אֲשֶׁר֩ that ʾăšer אֶל ʾēl פְּנֵ֨י before pānîm הַגִּזְרָ֜ה the separate place gizrâ פְּאַ֣ת at the end pēʾâ דֶּֽרֶךְ toward derek הַיָּ֗ם the west yām רֹ֚חַב broad; rōḥab שִׁבְעִ֣ים seventy šibʿîm אַמָּ֔ה cubits ʾammâ וְקִ֧יר and the wall qîr הַבִּנְיָ֛ן of the building binyān חָֽמֵשׁ five ḥāmēš אַמּ֥וֹת cubits ʾammâ רֹ֖חַב thick rōḥab סָבִ֣יב׀ round about, sābîb סָבִ֑יב sābîb וְאָרְכּ֖וֹ and the length ʾōrek תִּשְׁעִ֥ים thereof ninety tišʿîm אַמָּֽה׃ cubits. ʾammâ

וּמָדַ֣ד So he measured mādad אֶת ʾēt הַבַּ֔יִת the house, bayit אֹ֖רֶךְ long; ʾōrek מֵאָ֣ה an hundred mēʾâ אַמָּ֑ה cubits ʾammâ וְהַגִּזְרָ֤ה and the separate place, gizrâ וְהַבִּנְיָה֙ and the building, binyâ וְקִ֣ירוֹתֶ֔יהָ with the walls qîr אֹ֖רֶךְ long; ʾōrek מֵאָ֥ה thereof, an hundred mēʾâ אַמָּֽה׃ cubits ʾammâ

וְרֹחַב֩ Also the breadth rōḥab פְּנֵ֨י of the face pānîm הַבַּ֧יִת of the house, bayit וְהַגִּזְרָ֛ה and of the separate place gizrâ לַקָּדִ֖ים toward the east, qādîm מֵאָ֥ה an hundred mēʾâ אַמָּֽה׃ cubits. ʾammâ

וּמָדַ֣ד And he measured mādad אֹֽרֶךְ the length ʾōrek הַ֠בִּנְיָן of the building binyān אֶל ʾēl פְּנֵ֨י over against pānîm הַגִּזְרָ֜ה the separate place gizrâ אֲשֶׁ֨ר which ʾăšer עַל ʿal אַחֲרֶ֧יהָ behind ʾaḥar וְאַתִּוקֶ֛יהָא it, and the galleries ʾattûq מִפּ֥וֹ thereof on the one side pō וּמִפּ֖וֹ and on the other side, pō מֵאָ֣ה an hundred mēʾâ אַמָּ֑ה cubits, ʾammâ וְהַֽהֵיכָל֙ temple, hêkāl הַפְּנִימִ֔י with the inner pĕnîmî וְאֻֽלַמֵּ֖י and the porches ʾûlām הֶחָצֵֽר׃ of the court; ḥāṣēr

הַסִּפִּ֡ים The door posts, sap וְהַחַלּוֹנִ֣ים windows, ḥallôn הָ֠אֲטֻמוֹת and the narrow ʾāṭam וְהָאַתִּיקִ֤ים׀ and the galleries ʾattûq סָבִיב֙ round about sābîb לִשְׁלָשְׁתָּ֔ם on their three stories, šālôš נֶ֧גֶד over against neged הַסַּ֛ף the door, sap שְׂחִ֥יף cieled šāḥîp עֵ֖ץ with wood ʿēṣ סָבִ֣יב׀ round about, sābîb סָבִ֑יב sābîb וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ and from the ground ʾereṣ עַד up to ʿad הַֽחַלּוֹנ֔וֹת the windows, ḥallôn וְהַֽחַלֹּנ֖וֹת and the windows ḥallôn מְכֻסּֽוֹת׃ covered; kāsâ

עַל To ʿal מֵעַ֣ל that above ʿal הַפֶּ֡תַח the door, petaḥ וְעַד even unto ʿad הַבַּיִת֩ house, bayit הַפְּנִימִ֨י the inner pĕnîmî וְלַח֜וּץ and without, ḥûṣ וְאֶל and by ʾēl כָּל all kōl הַקִּ֨יר the wall qîr סָבִ֧יב׀ round about sābîb סָבִ֛יב sābîb בַּפְּנִימִ֥י within pĕnîmî וּבַחִיצ֖וֹן and without, ḥîṣôn מִדּֽוֹת׃ by measure. middâ

וְעָשׂ֥וּי And made ʿāśâ כְּרוּבִ֖ים with cherubims kĕrûb וְתִֽמֹרִ֑ים and palm trees, timmōr וְתִֽמֹרָה֙ so that a palm tree timmōr בֵּין between bên כְּר֣וּב a cherub kĕrûb לִכְר֔וּב and a cherub; kĕrûb וּשְׁנַ֥יִם had two šĕnayim פָּנִ֖ים faces; pānîm לַכְּרֽוּב׃ and cherub kĕrûb

וּפְנֵ֨י So that the face pānîm אָדָ֤ם of a man ʾādām אֶל toward ʾēl הַתִּֽמֹרָה֙ the palm tree timmōr מִפּ֔וֹ on the one side, pō וּפְנֵֽי and the face pānîm כְפִ֥יר of a young lion kĕpîr אֶל toward ʾēl הַתִּֽמֹרָ֖ה the palm tree timmōr מִפּ֑וֹ on the other side: pō עָשׂ֥וּי made ʿāśâ אֶל through ʾēl כָּל all kōl הַבַּ֖יִת the house bayit סָבִ֥יב׀ round about. sābîb סָבִֽיב׃ sābîb

מֵהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ From the ground ʾereṣ עַד unto ʿad מֵעַ֣ל above ʿal הַפֶּ֔תַח the door petaḥ הַכְּרוּבִ֥ים cherubims kĕrûb וְהַתִּֽמֹרִ֖ים and palm trees timmōr עֲשׂוּיִ֑ם made, ʿāśâ וְקִ֖יר and the wall qîr הַׄהֵׄיׄכָֽׄלׄ׃ of the temple. hêkāl

הַֽהֵיכָ֖ל of the temple hêkāl מְזוּזַ֣ת The posts mĕzûzâ רְבֻעָ֑ה squared, rābaʿ וּפְנֵ֣י the face pānîm הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ of the sanctuary; qōdeš הַמַּרְאֶ֖ה the appearance marʾe כַּמַּרְאֶֽה׃ as the appearance marʾe

הַמִּזְבֵּ֡חַ The altar mizbēaḥ עֵ֣ץ of wood ʿēṣ שָׁלוֹשׁ֩ three šālôš אַמּ֨וֹת cubits ʾammâ גָּבֹ֜הַּ high, gābōah וְאָרְכּ֣וֹ and the length ʾōrek שְׁתַּֽיִם thereof two šĕnayim אַמּ֗וֹת cubits; ʾammâ וּמִקְצֹֽעוֹתָיו֙ and the corners maqṣôaʿ ל֔וֹ וְאָרְכּ֥וֹ thereof, and the length ʾōrek וְקִֽירֹתָ֖יו thereof, and the walls qîr עֵ֑ץ thereof, of wood: ʿēṣ וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר and he said dābar אֵלַ֔י unto ʾēl זֶ֚ה me, This ze הַשֻּׁלְחָ֔ן the table šulḥān אֲשֶׁ֖ר that ʾăšer לִפְנֵ֥י before pānîm יְהוָֽה׃ the Lord. yĕhōwâ

וּשְׁתַּ֧יִם had two šĕnayim דְּלָת֛וֹת doors. delet לַֽהֵיכָ֖ל And the temple hêkāl וְלַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ and the sanctuary qōdeš

וּשְׁתַּ֥יִם had two šĕnayim דְּלָת֖וֹת And the doors delet לַדְּלָת֑וֹת leaves delet שְׁ֚תַּיִם two šĕnayim מוּסַבּ֣וֹת turning mûsabbâ דְּלָת֔וֹת leaves; delet שְׁ֚תַּיִם two šĕnayim לְדֶ֣לֶת door, delet אֶחָ֔ת for the one ʾeḥād וּשְׁתֵּ֥י and two šĕnayim דְלָת֖וֹת leaves delet לָאַחֶֽרֶת׃ for the other ʾaḥēr

וַעֲשׂוּיָ֨ה And made ʿāśâ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ן on ʾēl אֶל them, on ʾēl דַּלְת֤וֹת the doors delet הַֽהֵיכָל֙ of the temple, hêkāl כְּרוּבִ֣ים cherubims kĕrûb וְתִֽמֹרִ֔ים and palm trees, timmōr כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר like as ʾăšer עֲשׂוּיִ֖ם made ʿāśâ לַקִּיר֑וֹת upon the walls; qîr וְעָ֥ב and thick ʿāb עֵ֛ץ planks ʿēṣ אֶל upon ʾēl פְּנֵ֥י the face pānîm הָאוּלָ֖ם of the porch ʾûlām מֵהַחֽוּץ׃ without. ḥûṣ

וְחַלּוֹנִ֨ים windows ḥallôn אֲטֻמ֤וֹת And narrow ʾāṭam וְתִֽמֹרִים֙ and palm trees timmōr מִפּ֣וֹ on the one side pō וּמִפּ֔וֹ and on the other side, pō אֶל on ʾēl כִּתְפ֖וֹת the sides kātēp הָֽאוּלָ֑ם of the porch, ʾûlām וְצַלְע֥וֹת and the side chambers ṣēlāʿ הַבַּ֖יִת of the house, bayit וְהָעֻבִּֽים׃ and thick planks. ʿāb
