וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said ʾāmar יְהוָ֜ה And the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶל unto ʾēl מֹשֶׁ֗ה Moses, mōše ע֣וֹד Yet ʿôd נֶ֤גַע plague negaʿ אֶחָד֙ one ʾeḥād אָבִ֤יא will I bring bôʾ עַל upon ʿal פַּרְעֹה֙ Pharaoh, parʿō וְעַל and upon ʿal מִצְרַ֔יִם Egypt; miṣrayim אַֽחֲרֵי afterwards ʾaḥar כֵ֕ן kēn יְשַׁלַּ֥ח he will let you go šālaḥ אֶתְכֶ֖ם ʾēt מִזֶּ֑ה hence: ze כְּשַׁ֨לְּח֔וֹ when he shall let go, šālaḥ כָּלָ֕ה altogether. kālâ גָּרֵ֛שׁ he shall surely gāraš יְגָרֵ֥שׁ thrust you out gāraš אֶתְכֶ֖ם ʾēt מִזֶּֽה׃ hence ze

דַּבֶּר Speak dābar נָ֖א now nāʾ בְּאָזְנֵ֣י in the ears ʾōzen הָעָ֑ם of the people, ʿam וְיִשְׁאֲל֞וּ borrow šāʾal אִ֣ישׁ׀ and let every man ʾîš מֵאֵ֣ת of ʾēt רֵעֵ֗הוּ his neighbour, rēaʿ וְאִשָּׁה֙ and every woman ʾiššâ מֵאֵ֣ת of ʾēt רְעוּתָ֔הּ her neighbour, rĕʿût כְּלֵי jewels kĕlî כֶ֖סֶף of silver, kesep וּכְלֵ֥י and jewels kĕlî זָהָֽב׃ of gold. zāhāb

וַיִּתֵּ֧ן gave nātan יְהוָ֛ה And the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶת ʾēt חֵ֥ן favour ḥēn הָעָ֖ם the people ʿam בְּעֵינֵ֣י in the sight ʿayin מִצְרָ֑יִם of the Egyptians. miṣrayim גַּ֣ם׀ Moreover gam הָאִ֣ישׁ the man ʾîš מֹשֶׁ֗ה Moses mōše גָּד֤וֹל great gādôl מְאֹד֙ very mĕʾōd בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt, miṣrayim בְּעֵינֵ֥י in the sight ʿayin עַבְדֵֽי servants, ʿebed פַרְעֹ֖ה of Pharaoh's parʿō וּבְעֵינֵ֥י and in the sight ʿayin הָעָֽם׃ of the people. ʿam

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said, ʾāmar מֹשֶׁ֔ה And Moses mōše כֹּ֖ה Thus kō אָמַ֣ר saith ʾāmar יְהוָ֑ה the Lord, yĕhōwâ כַּֽחֲצֹ֣ת ḥāṣôt הַלַּ֔יְלָה About midnight layil אֲנִ֥י will I ʾănî יוֹצֵ֖א go out yāṣāʾ בְּת֥וֹךְ into the midst tāwek מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt: miṣrayim

וּמֵ֣ת shall die, mût כָּל And all kōl בְּכוֹר֮ the firstborn bĕkôr בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרַיִם֒ of Egypt miṣrayim מִבְּכ֤וֹר from the firstborn bĕkôr פַּרְעֹה֙ of Pharaoh parʿō הַיֹּשֵׁ֣ב that sitteth yāšab עַל upon ʿal כִּסְא֔וֹ his throne, kissēʾ עַ֚ד even unto ʿad בְּכ֣וֹר the firstborn bĕkôr הַשִּׁפְחָ֔ה of the maidservant šipḥâ אֲשֶׁ֖ר that ʾăšer אַחַ֣ר behind ʾaḥar הָֽרֵחָ֑יִם the mill; rēḥe וְכֹ֖ל and all kōl בְּכ֥וֹר the firstborn bĕkôr בְּהֵמָֽה׃ of beasts. bĕhēmâ

וְהָֽיְתָ֛ה And there shall be hāyâ צְעָקָ֥ה cry ṣaʿăqâ גְדֹלָ֖ה a great gādôl בְּכָל throughout all kōl אֶ֣רֶץ the land ʾereṣ מִצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt, miṣrayim אֲשֶׁ֤ר such as ʾăšer כָּמֹ֙הוּ֙ like it, kĕmô לֹ֣א none lōʾ נִֽהְיָ֔תָה there was hāyâ וְכָמֹ֖הוּ shall be like it kĕmô לֹ֥א nor lōʾ תֹסִֽף׃ any more. yāsap

וּלְכֹ֣ל׀ But against any kōl בְּנֵ֣י of the children bēn יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל of Israel yiśrāʾēl לֹ֤א shall not lōʾ יֶֽחֱרַץ move ḥāraṣ כֶּ֙לֶב֙ a dog keleb לְשֹׁנ֔וֹ his tongue, lāšôn לְמֵאִ֖ישׁ against man ʾîš וְעַד or ʿad בְּהֵמָ֑ה beast: bĕhēmâ לְמַ֙עַן֙ that maʿan תֵּֽדְע֔וּן ye may know yādaʿ אֲשֶׁר֙ how that ʾăšer יַפְלֶ֣ה doth put a difference pālâ יְהוָ֔ה the Lord yĕhōwâ בֵּ֥ין between bên מִצְרַ֖יִם the Egyptians miṣrayim וּבֵ֥ין bên יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ and Israel. yiśrāʾēl

וְיָֽרְד֣וּ shall come down yārad כָל And all kōl עֲבָדֶיךָ֩ thy servants ʿebed אֵ֨לֶּה these ʾēlle אֵלַ֜י unto ʾēl וְהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוּוּ me, and bow down themselves šāḥâ לִ֣י לֵאמֹ֗ר unto me, saying, ʾāmar צֵ֤א Get thee out, yāṣāʾ אַתָּה֙ ʾattâ וְכָל and all kōl הָעָ֣ם the people ʿam אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer בְּרַגְלֶ֔יךָ follow regel וְאַֽחֲרֵי thee: and after ʾaḥar כֵ֖ן that kēn אֵצֵ֑א I will go out. yāṣāʾ וַיֵּצֵ֥א And he went out yāṣāʾ מֵֽעִם from ʿim פַּרְעֹ֖ה Pharaoh parʿō בָּֽחֳרִי in a great ḥŏrî אָֽף׃ anger. ʾap

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said ʾāmar יְהוָה֙ And the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶל unto ʾēl מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses, mōše לֹֽא shall not lōʾ יִשְׁמַ֥ע hearken šāmaʿ אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם unto ʾēl פַּרְעֹ֑ה Pharaoh parʿō לְמַ֛עַן you; that maʿan רְב֥וֹת may be multiplied rābâ מֽוֹפְתַ֖י my wonders môpēt בְּאֶ֥רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt. miṣrayim

וּמֹשֶׁ֣ה And Moses mōše וְאַֽהֲרֹ֗ן and Aaron ʾahărôn עָשׂ֛וּ did ʿāśâ אֶת ʾēt כָּל all kōl הַמֹּֽפְתִ֥ים wonders môpēt הָאֵ֖לֶּה these ʾēlle לִפְנֵ֣י before pānîm פַרְעֹ֑ה Pharaoh: parʿō וַיְחַזֵּ֤ק hardened ḥāzaq יְהוָה֙ and the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶת ʾēt לֵ֣ב heart, lēb פַּרְעֹ֔ה Pharaoh's parʿō וְלֹֽא so that he would not lōʾ שִׁלַּ֥ח go out šālaḥ אֶת let ʾēt בְּנֵֽי the children bēn יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel yiśrāʾēl מֵֽאַרְצֽוֹ׃ of his land. ʾereṣ
