அப்பொழுது ராஜா ஆமானை நோக்கி: சீக்கிரமாய் நீ சொன்னபடி வஸ்திரத்தையும் குதிரையையும் கொண்டுபோய், ராஜ அரமனையின் வாசலில் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிற யூதனாகிய மொர்தெகாய்க்கு அந்தப்பிரகாரம் செய்; நீ சொன்ன எல்லாவற்றிலும் ஒன்றும் தவறாதபடி பார் என்றான்.

அரசன் ஆமானிடம், “வேகமாகப் போ” என கட்டளையிட்டு, “ஆடையையும், குதிரையையும் கொண்டுவா. இதனை நீ சொன்னபடி யூதனான மொர்தெகாய்க்குச் செய். மொர்தெகாய் அரசனது வாசலருகில் உட்கார்ந்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறான். நீ சொன்னபடி எல்லாவற்றையும் செய்” என்றான்.
