וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ went hālak מֹשֶׁ֑ה And Moses mōše וַיְדַבֵּ֛ר and spake dābar אֶת ʾēt הַדְּבָרִ֥ים words dābār הָאֵ֖לֶּה these ʾēlle אֶל unto ʾēl כָּל all kōl יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Israel. yiśrāʾēl

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר And he said ʾāmar אֲלֵהֶ֗ם unto ʾēl בֶּן old bēn מֵאָה֩ an hundred mēʾâ וְעֶשְׂרִ֨ים and twenty ʿeśrîm שָׁנָ֤ה years šāne אָֽנֹכִי֙ them, I ʾānōkî הַיּ֔וֹם this day; yôm לֹֽא no lōʾ אוּכַ֥ל I can yākōl ע֖וֹד more ʿôd לָצֵ֣את go out yāṣāʾ וְלָב֑וֹא and come in: bôʾ וַֽיהוָה֙ also the Lord yĕhōwâ אָמַ֣ר hath said ʾāmar אֵלַ֔י unto ʾēl לֹ֥א me, Thou shalt not lōʾ תַֽעֲבֹ֖ר go over ʿābar אֶת ʾēt הַיַּרְדֵּ֥ן Jordan. yardēn הַזֶּֽה׃ this ze

יְהוָ֨ה The Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ thy God, ʾĕlōhîm ה֣וּא׀ he hûʾ עֹבֵ֣ר will go over ʿābar לְפָנֶ֗יךָ before pānîm הֽוּא thee, he hûʾ יַשְׁמִ֞יד will destroy šāmad אֶת ʾēt הַגּוֹיִ֥ם nations gôy הָאֵ֛לֶּה these ʾēlle מִלְּפָנֶ֖יךָ from before pānîm וִֽירִשְׁתָּ֑ם thee, and thou shalt possess yāraš יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ them: Joshua, yĕhôšûaʿ ה֚וּא he hûʾ עֹבֵ֣ר shall go over ʿābar לְפָנֶ֔יךָ before pānîm כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר thee, as ʾăšer דִּבֶּ֥ר hath said. dābar יְהוָֽה׃ the Lord yĕhōwâ

וְעָשָׂ֤ה shall do ʿāśâ יְהוָה֙ And the Lord yĕhōwâ לָהֶ֔ם כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר unto them as ʾăšer עָשָׂ֗ה he did ʿāśâ לְסִיח֥וֹן to Sihon sîḥôn וּלְע֛וֹג and to Og, ʿôg מַלְכֵ֥י kings melek הָֽאֱמֹרִ֖י of the Amorites, ʾĕmōrî וּלְאַרְצָ֑ם and unto the land ʾereṣ אֲשֶׁ֥ר of them, whom ʾăšer הִשְׁמִ֖יד he destroyed. šāmad אֹתָֽם׃ ʾēt

וּנְתָנָ֥ם shall give them up nātan יְהוָ֖ה And the Lord yĕhōwâ לִפְנֵיכֶ֑ם before your face, pānîm וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם that ye may do ʿāśâ לָהֶ֔ם כְּכָל unto them according unto all kōl הַמִּצְוָ֔ה the commandments miṣwâ אֲשֶׁ֥ר which ʾăšer צִוִּ֖יתִי I have commanded you. ṣāwâ אֶתְכֶֽם׃ ʾēt

חִזְק֣וּ Be strong ḥāzaq וְאִמְצ֔וּ and of a good courage, ʾāmaṣ אַל not, ʾal תִּֽירְא֥וּ fear yārēʾ וְאַל nor ʾal תַּֽעַרְצ֖וּ be afraid ʿāraṣ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם of them: pānîm כִּ֣י׀ for kî יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ thy God, ʾĕlōhîm ה֚וּא he hûʾ הַֽהֹלֵ֣ךְ that doth go hālak עִמָּ֔ךְ with ʿim לֹ֥א thee; he will not lōʾ יַרְפְּךָ֖ fail rāpâ וְלֹ֥א thee, nor lōʾ יַֽעַזְבֶֽךָּ׃ forsake thee. ʿāzab

וַיִּקְרָ֨א called qārāʾ מֹשֶׁ֜ה And Moses mōše לִֽיהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ unto Joshua, yĕhôšûaʿ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר and said ʾāmar אֵלָ֜יו unto ʾēl לְעֵינֵ֣י him in the sight ʿayin כָל of all kōl יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ Israel, yiśrāʾēl חֲזַ֣ק Be strong ḥāzaq וֶֽאֱמָץ֒ and of a good courage: ʾāmaṣ כִּ֣י for kî אַתָּ֗ה thou ʾattâ תָּבוֹא֙ must go bôʾ אֶת with ʾēt הָעָ֣ם people ʿam הַזֶּ֔ה this ze אֶל unto ʾēl הָאָ֕רֶץ the land ʾereṣ אֲשֶׁ֨ר which ʾăšer נִשְׁבַּ֧ע hath sworn šābaʿ יְהוָ֛ה the Lord yĕhōwâ לַֽאֲבֹתָ֖ם unto their fathers ʾāb לָתֵ֣ת to give nātan לָהֶ֑ם וְאַתָּ֖ה them; and thou ʾattâ תַּנְחִילֶ֥נָּה shalt cause them to inherit it. nāḥal אוֹתָֽם׃ ʾēt

וַֽיהוָ֞ה And the Lord, yĕhōwâ ה֣וּא׀ he hûʾ הַֽהֹלֵ֣ךְ that doth go hālak לְפָנֶ֗יךָ before pānîm ה֚וּא thee; he hûʾ יִֽהְיֶ֣ה will be hāyâ עִמָּ֔ךְ with thee, ʿim לֹ֥א he will not lōʾ יַרְפְּךָ֖ fail rāpâ וְלֹ֣א thee, neither lōʾ יַֽעַזְבֶ֑ךָּ forsake ʿāzab לֹ֥א not, lōʾ תִירָ֖א thee: fear yārēʾ וְלֹ֥א neither lōʾ תֵחָֽת׃ be dismayed. ḥātat

וַיִּכְתֹּ֣ב wrote kātab מֹשֶׁה֮ And Moses mōše אֶת ʾēt הַתּוֹרָ֣ה law, tôrâ הַזֹּאת֒ this zōt וַֽיִּתְּנָ֗הּ and delivered nātan אֶל it unto ʾēl הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ the priests kōhēn בְּנֵ֣י the sons bēn לֵוִ֔י of Levi, lēwî הַנֹּ֣שְׂאִ֔ים which bare nāśāʾ אֶת ʾēt אֲר֖וֹן the ark ʾārôn בְּרִ֣ית of the covenant bĕrît יְהוָ֑ה of the Lord, yĕhōwâ וְאֶל and unto ʾēl כָּל all kōl זִקְנֵ֖י the elders zāqēn יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel. yiśrāʾēl

וַיְצַ֥ו commanded ṣāwâ מֹשֶׁ֖ה And Moses mōše אוֹתָ֣ם ʾēt לֵאמֹ֑ר them, saying, ʾāmar מִקֵּ֣ץ׀ At the end qēṣ שֶׁ֣בַע of seven šebaʿ שָׁנִ֗ים years, šāne בְּמֹעֵ֛ד in the solemnity môʿēd שְׁנַ֥ת of the year šāne הַשְּׁמִטָּ֖ה of release, šĕmiṭṭâ בְּחַ֥ג in the feast ḥag הַסֻּכּֽוֹת׃ of tabernacles, sukkâ

בְּב֣וֹא is come bôʾ כָל When all kōl יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל Israel yiśrāʾēl לֵֽרָאוֹת֙ to appear rāʾâ אֶת ʾēt פְּנֵי֙ before pānîm יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ thy God ʾĕlōhîm בַּמָּק֖וֹם in the place māqôm אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ʾăšer יִבְחָ֑ר he shall choose, bāḥar תִּקְרָ֞א thou shalt read qārāʾ אֶת ʾēt הַתּוֹרָ֥ה law tôrâ הַזֹּ֛את this zōt נֶ֥גֶד before neged כָּל all kōl יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל Israel yiśrāʾēl בְּאָזְנֵיהֶֽם׃ in their hearing. ʾōzen

הַקְהֵ֣ל Gather together, qāhal אֶת ʾēt הָעָ֗ם the people ʿam הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֤ים men, ʾîš וְהַנָּשִׁים֙ and women, ʾiššâ וְהַטַּ֔ף and children, ṭap וְגֵֽרְךָ֖ and thy stranger gēr אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ʾăšer בִּשְׁעָרֶ֑יךָ within thy gates, šaʿar לְמַ֨עַן that maʿan יִשְׁמְע֜וּ they may hear, šāmaʿ וּלְמַ֣עַן and that maʿan יִלְמְד֗וּ they may learn, lāmad וְיָֽרְאוּ֙ and fear yārēʾ אֶת ʾēt יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם your God, ʾĕlōhîm וְשָֽׁמְר֣וּ and observe šāmar לַֽעֲשׂ֔וֹת to do ʿāśâ אֶת ʾēt כָּל all kōl דִּבְרֵ֖י the words dābār הַתּוֹרָ֥ה law: tôrâ הַזֹּֽאת׃ of this zōt

וּבְנֵיהֶ֞ם And their children, bēn אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ʾăšer לֹֽא have not lōʾ יָדְע֗וּ known yādaʿ יִשְׁמְעוּ֙ may hear, šāmaʿ וְלָ֣מְד֔וּ and learn lāmad לְיִרְאָ֖ה to fear yārēʾ אֶת ʾēt יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֑ם your God, ʾĕlōhîm כָּל kōl הַיָּמִ֗ים as long as yôm אֲשֶׁ֨ר whither ʾăšer אַתֶּ֤ם ye ʾattâ חַיִּים֙ live ḥay עַל in ʿal הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה the land ʾădāmâ אֲשֶׁ֨ר ʾăšer אַתֶּ֜ם ye ʾattâ עֹֽבְרִ֧ים go over ʿābar אֶת ʾēt הַיַּרְדֵּ֛ן Jordan yardēn שָׁ֖מָּה šām לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ to possess it. yāraš

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר said ʾāmar יְהוָ֜ה And the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶל unto ʾēl מֹשֶׁ֗ה Moses, mōše הֵ֣ן Behold, hēn קָֽרְב֣וּ approach qārab יָמֶיךָ֮ thy days yôm לָמוּת֒ that thou must die: mût קְרָ֣א call qārāʾ אֶת ʾēt יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ Joshua, yĕhôšûaʿ וְהִֽתְיַצְּב֛וּ and present yourselves yāṣab בְּאֹ֥הֶל in the tabernacle ʾōhel מוֹעֵ֖ד of the congregation, môʿēd וַֽאֲצַוֶּ֑נּוּ that I may give him a charge. ṣāwâ וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ went, hālak מֹשֶׁה֙ And Moses mōše וִֽיהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ and Joshua yĕhôšûaʿ וַיִּֽתְיַצְּב֖וּ and presented themselves yāṣab בְּאֹ֥הֶל in the tabernacle ʾōhel מוֹעֵֽד׃ of the congregation. môʿēd

וַיֵּרָ֧א appeared rāʾâ יְהוָ֛ה And the Lord yĕhōwâ בָּאֹ֖הֶל in the tabernacle ʾōhel בְּעַמּ֣וּד in a pillar ʿammûd עָנָ֑ן of a cloud: ʿānān וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֛ד stood ʿāmad עַמּ֥וּד and the pillar ʿammûd הֶֽעָנָ֖ן of the cloud ʿānān עַל over ʿal פֶּ֥תַח the door petaḥ הָאֹֽהֶל׃ of the tabernacle. ʾōhel

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said ʾāmar יְהוָה֙ And the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶל unto ʾēl מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses, mōše הִנְּךָ֥ Behold, hinnē שֹׁכֵ֖ב thou shalt sleep šākab עִם with ʿim אֲבֹתֶ֑יךָ thy fathers; ʾāb וְקָם֩ will rise up, qûm הָעָ֨ם people ʿam הַזֶּ֜ה and this ze וְזָנָ֣ה׀ and go a whoring zānâ אַֽחֲרֵ֣י׀ after ʾaḥar אֱלֹהֵ֣י the gods ʾĕlōhîm נֵֽכַר of the strangers nēkār הָאָ֗רֶץ of the land, ʾereṣ אֲשֶׁ֨ר whither ʾăšer ה֤וּא they hûʾ בָא go bôʾ שָׁ֙מָּה֙ šām בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ among qereb וַֽעֲזָבַ֕נִי them, and will forsake ʿāzab וְהֵפֵר֙ me, and break pārar אֶת ʾēt בְּרִיתִ֔י my covenant bĕrît אֲשֶׁ֥ר which ʾăšer כָּרַ֖תִּי I have made kārat אִתּֽוֹ׃ with them. ʾēt

וְחָרָ֣ה shall be kindled ḥārâ אַפִּ֣י Then my anger ʾap ב֣וֹ בַיּוֹם day, yôm הַ֠הוּא against them in that hûʾ וַֽעֲזַבְתִּ֞ים and I will forsake ʿāzab וְהִסְתַּרְתִּ֨י them, and I will hide sātar פָנַ֤י my face pānîm מֵהֶם֙ hēm וְהָיָ֣ה from them, and they shall be hāyâ לֶֽאֱכֹ֔ל devoured, ʾākal וּמְצָאֻ֛הוּ shall befall māṣāʾ רָע֥וֹת evils raʿ רַבּ֖וֹת and many rab וְצָר֑וֹת and troubles ṣārâ וְאָמַר֙ them; so that they will say ʾāmar בַּיּ֣וֹם day, yôm הַה֔וּא in that hûʾ הֲלֹ֗א Are not lōʾ עַ֣ל us, because ʿal כִּי kî אֵ֤ין not ʾayin אֱלֹהַי֙ our God ʾĕlōhîm בְּקִרְבִּ֔י among us? qereb מְצָא֖וּנִי come upon māṣāʾ הָֽרָע֥וֹת evils raʿ הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ these ʾēlle

וְאָֽנֹכִ֗י And I ʾānōkî הַסְתֵּ֨ר will surely sātam אַסְתִּ֤יר hide sātar פָּנַי֙ my face pānîm בַּיּ֣וֹם day yôm הַה֔וּא in that hûʾ עַ֥ל for ʿal כָּל all kōl הָֽרָעָ֖ה the evils raʿ אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ʾăšer עָשָׂ֑ה they shall have wrought, ʿāśâ כִּ֣י in that kî פָנָ֔ה they are turned pānâ אֶל unto ʾēl אֱלֹהִ֖ים gods. ʾĕlōhîm אֲחֵרִֽים׃ other ʾaḥēr

וְעַתָּ֗ה Now ʿattâ כִּתְב֤וּ therefore write kātab לָכֶם֙ אֶת ʾēt הַשִּׁירָ֣ה song šîr הַזֹּ֔את ye this zōt וְלַמְּדָ֥הּ for you, and teach lāmad אֶת it ʾēt בְּנֵֽי the children bēn יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel: yiśrāʾēl שִׂימָ֣הּ put śûm בְּפִיהֶ֑ם it in their mouths, pe לְמַ֨עַן that maʿan תִּֽהְיֶה may be hāyâ לִּ֜י הַשִּׁירָ֥ה song šîr הַזֹּ֛את this zōt לְעֵ֖ד a witness ʿēd בִּבְנֵ֥י for me against the children bēn יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel. yiśrāʾēl

כִּֽי For kî אֲבִיאֶ֜נּוּ when I shall have brought bôʾ אֶֽל them into ʾēl הָאֲדָמָ֣ה׀ the land ʾădāmâ אֲשֶׁר which ʾăšer נִשְׁבַּ֣עְתִּי I sware šābaʿ לַֽאֲבֹתָ֗יו unto their fathers, ʾāb זָבַ֤ת that floweth zûb חָלָב֙ with milk ḥālāb וּדְבַ֔שׁ and honey; dĕbaš וְאָכַ֥ל and they shall have eaten ʾākal וְשָׂבַ֖ע and filled themselves, śābaʿ וְדָשֵׁ֑ן and waxen fat; dāšēn וּפָנָ֞ה then will they turn pānâ אֶל unto ʾēl אֱלֹהִ֤ים gods, ʾĕlōhîm אֲחֵרִים֙ other ʾaḥēr וַֽעֲבָד֔וּם and serve ʿābad וְנִ֣אֲצ֔וּנִי them, and provoke nāʾaṣ וְהֵפֵ֖ר me, and break pārar אֶת ʾēt בְּרִיתִֽי׃ my covenant. bĕrît

וְ֠הָיָה And it shall come to pass, hāyâ כִּֽי when kî תִמְצֶ֨אןָ are befallen māṣāʾ אֹת֜וֹ ʾēt רָע֣וֹת evils raʿ רַבּוֹת֮ many rab וְצָרוֹת֒ and troubles ṣārâ וְ֠עָֽנְתָה shall testify ʿānâ הַשִּׁירָ֨ה song šîr הַזֹּ֤את them, that this zōt לְפָנָיו֙ against pānîm לְעֵ֔ד them as a witness; ʿēd כִּ֛י for kî לֹ֥א it shall not lōʾ תִשָּׁכַ֖ח be forgotten šākaḥ מִפִּ֣י out of the mouths pe זַרְע֑וֹ of their seed: zeraʿ כִּ֧י for kî יָדַ֣עְתִּי I know yādaʿ אֶת ʾēt יִצְר֗וֹ their imagination yēṣer אֲשֶׁ֨ר which ʾăšer ה֤וּא they hûʾ עֹשֶׂה֙ go about, ʿāśâ הַיּ֔וֹם even now, yôm בְּטֶ֣רֶם before ṭerem אֲבִיאֶ֔נּוּ I have brought bôʾ אֶל them into ʾēl הָאָ֖רֶץ the land ʾereṣ אֲשֶׁ֥ר which ʾăšer נִשְׁבָּֽעְתִּי׃ I sware. šābaʿ

וַיִּכְתֹּ֥ב therefore wrote kātab מֹשֶׁ֛ה Moses mōše אֶת ʾēt הַשִּׁירָ֥ה song šîr הַזֹּ֖את this zōt בַּיּ֣וֹם day, yôm הַה֑וּא the same hûʾ וַֽיְלַמְּדָ֖הּ and taught lāmad אֶת it ʾēt בְּנֵ֥י the children bēn יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel. yiśrāʾēl

וַיְצַ֞ו a charge, ṣāwâ אֶת And he gave ʾēt יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ Joshua yĕhôšûaʿ בִּן the son bēn נ֗וּן of Nun nûn וַיֹּאמֶר֮ and said, ʾāmar חֲזַ֣ק Be strong ḥāzaq וֶֽאֱמָץ֒ and of a good courage: ʾāmaṣ כִּ֣י for kî אַתָּ֗ה thou ʾattâ תָּבִיא֙ shalt bring bôʾ אֶת ʾēt בְּנֵ֣י the children bēn יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiśrāʾēl אֶל into ʾēl הָאָ֖רֶץ the land ʾereṣ אֲשֶׁר which ʾăšer נִשְׁבַּ֣עְתִּי I sware šābaʿ לָהֶ֑ם וְאָֽנֹכִ֖י unto them: and I ʾānōkî אֶֽהְיֶ֥ה will be hāyâ עִמָּֽךְ׃ with thee. ʿim

וַיְהִ֣י׀ And it came to pass, hāyâ כְּכַלּ֣וֹת had made an end kālâ מֹשֶׁ֗ה when Moses mōše לִכְתֹּ֛ב of writing kātab אֶת ʾēt דִּבְרֵ֥י the words dābār הַתּוֹרָֽה law tôrâ הַזֹּ֖את of this zōt עַל in ʿal סֵ֑פֶר a book, sēper עַ֖ד until ʿad תֻּמָּֽם׃ they were finished, tāmam

וַיְצַ֤ו commanded ṣāwâ מֹשֶׁה֙ That Moses mōše אֶת ʾēt הַלְוִיִּ֔ם the Levites, lēwiyyî נֹֽשְׂאֵ֛י which bare nāśāʾ אֲר֥וֹן the ark ʾārôn בְּרִית of the covenant bĕrît יְהוָ֖ה of the Lord, yĕhōwâ לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying, ʾāmar

לָקֹ֗חַ Take lāqaḥ אֵ֣ת ʾēt סֵ֤פֶר book sēper הַתּוֹרָה֙ of the law, tôrâ הַזֶּ֔ה this ze וְשַׂמְתֶּ֣ם and put śûm אֹת֔וֹ ʾēt מִצַּ֛ד it in the side ṣad אֲר֥וֹן of the ark ʾārôn בְּרִית of the covenant bĕrît יְהוָ֖ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֑ם your God, ʾĕlōhîm וְהָֽיָה that it may be hāyâ שָׁ֥ם there šām בְּךָ֖ לְעֵֽד׃ for a witness against thee. ʿēd

כִּ֣י For kî אָֽנֹכִ֤י I ʾānōkî יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ know yādaʿ אֶֽת ʾēt מֶרְיְךָ֔ thy rebellion, mĕrî וְאֶֽת ʾēt עָרְפְּךָ֖ neck: ʿōrep הַקָּשֶׁ֑ה and thy stiff qāše הֵ֣ן behold, hēn בְּעוֹדֶנִּי֩ while I am yet ʿôd חַ֨י alive ḥay עִמָּכֶ֜ם with ʿim הַיּ֗וֹם you this day, yôm מַמְרִ֤ים rebellious mārâ הֱיִתֶם֙ ye have been hāyâ עִם against ʿim יְהוָֹ֔ה the Lord; yĕhōwâ וְאַ֖ף much more ʾap כִּֽי and how kî אַחֲרֵ֥י after ʾaḥar מוֹתִֽי׃ my death? māwet

הַקְהִ֧ילוּ Gather qāhal אֵלַ֛י unto ʾēl אֶת me ʾēt כָּל all kōl זִקְנֵ֥י the elders zāqēn שִׁבְטֵיכֶ֖ם of your tribes, šēbeṭ וְשֹֽׁטְרֵיכֶ֑ם and your officers, šōṭēr וַֽאֲדַבְּרָ֣ה that I may speak dābar בְאָזְנֵיהֶ֗ם in their ears, ʾōzen אֵ֚ת ʾēt הַדְּבָרִ֣ים words dābār הָאֵ֔לֶּה these ʾēlle וְאָעִ֣ידָה and call ʿûd בָּ֔ם אֶת ʾēt הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם heaven šāmayim וְאֶת ʾēt הָאָֽרֶץ׃ and earth to record against them. ʾereṣ

כִּ֣י For kî יָדַ֗עְתִּי I know yādaʿ אַֽחֲרֵ֤י that after ʾaḥar מוֹתִי֙ my death māwet כִּֽי because kî הַשְׁחֵ֣ת ye will utterly šāḥat תַּשְׁחִת֔וּן corrupt šāḥat וְסַרְתֶּ֣ם and turn aside sûr מִן from min הַדֶּ֔רֶךְ the way derek אֲשֶׁ֥ר which ʾăšer צִוִּ֖יתִי I have commanded ṣāwâ אֶתְכֶ֑ם ʾēt וְקָרָ֨את will befall qārāʾ אֶתְכֶ֤ם ʾēt הָֽרָעָה֙ you; and evil raʿ בְּאַֽחֲרִ֣ית you in the latter ʾaḥărît הַיָּמִ֔ים days; yôm כִּֽי kî תַעֲשׂ֤וּ ye will do ʿāśâ אֶת ʾēt הָרַע֙ evil raʿ בְּעֵינֵ֣י in the sight ʿayin יְהוָ֔ה of the Lord, yĕhōwâ לְהַכְעִיס֖וֹ to provoke him to anger kaʿas בְּמַֽעֲשֵׂ֥ה through the work maʿăśe יְדֵיכֶֽם׃ of your hands. yād

וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר spake dābar מֹשֶׁ֗ה And Moses mōše בְּאָזְנֵי֙ in the ears ʾōzen כָּל of all kōl קְהַ֣ל the congregation qāhāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiśrāʾēl אֶת ʾēt דִּבְרֵ֥י the words dābār הַשִּׁירָ֖ה song, šîr הַזֹּ֑את of this zōt עַ֖ד until ʿad תֻּמָּֽם׃ they were ended. tāmam
