  1. וְהָיָה֙ And it shall be, hāyâ כִּֽי when תָב֣וֹא thou come in bôʾ אֶל unto ʾēl הָאָ֔רֶץ the land ʾereṣ אֲשֶׁר֙ which ʾăšer יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ thy God ʾĕlōhîm נֹתֵ֥ן giveth nātan לְךָ֖ נַֽחֲלָ֑ה thee an inheritance, naḥălâ וִֽירִשְׁתָּ֖הּ and possessest yāraš וְיָשַׁ֥בְתָּ it, and dwellest therein; yāšab בָּֽהּ׃
  2. וְלָֽקַחְתָּ֞ That thou shalt take lāqaḥ מֵֽרֵאשִׁ֣ית׀ of the first rēʾšît כָּל of all kōl פְּרִ֣י the fruit pĕrî הָֽאֲדָמָ֗ה of the earth, ʾădāmâ אֲשֶׁ֨ר which ʾăšer תָּבִ֧יא thou shalt bring bôʾ מֵֽאַרְצְךָ֛ of thy land ʾereṣ אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ʾăšer יְהוָ֧ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ thy God ʾĕlōhîm נֹתֵ֥ן giveth nātan לָ֖ךְ וְשַׂמְתָּ֣ thee, and shalt put śûm בַטֶּ֑נֶא in a basket, ṭeneʾ וְהָֽלַכְתָּ֙ and shalt go hālak אֶל unto ʾēl הַמָּק֔וֹם the place māqôm אֲשֶׁ֤ר which ʾăšer יִבְחַר֙ shall choose bāḥar יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ thy God ʾĕlōhîm לְשַׁכֵּ֥ן to place šākan שְׁמ֖וֹ his name šēm שָֽׁם׃ there. šām
  3. וּבָאתָ֙ And thou shalt go bôʾ אֶל unto ʾēl הַכֹּהֵ֔ן the priest kōhēn אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ʾăšer יִֽהְיֶ֖ה shall be hāyâ בַּיָּמִ֣ים days, yôm הָהֵ֑ם in those hēm וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֣ and say ʾāmar אֵלָ֗יו unto ʾēl הִגַּ֤דְתִּי him, I profess nāgad הַיּוֹם֙ this day yôm לַֽיהוָ֣ה unto the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ thy God, ʾĕlōhîm כִּי that בָ֙אתִי֙ I am come bôʾ אֶל unto ʾēl הָאָ֔רֶץ the country ʾereṣ אֲשֶׁ֨ר which ʾăšer נִשְׁבַּ֧ע sware šābaʿ יְהוָ֛ה the Lord yĕhōwâ לַֽאֲבֹתֵ֖ינוּ unto our fathers ʾāb לָ֥תֶת for to give us. nātan לָֽנוּ׃
  4. וְלָקַ֧ח shall take lāqaḥ הַכֹּהֵ֛ן And the priest kōhēn הַטֶּ֖נֶא the basket ṭeneʾ מִיָּדֶ֑ךָ out of thine hand, yād וְהִ֨נִּיח֔וֹ and set it down yānaḥ לִפְנֵ֕י before pānîm מִזְבַּ֖ח the altar mizbēaḥ יְהוָ֥ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ thy God. ʾĕlōhîm
  5. וְעָנִ֨יתָ And thou shalt speak ʿānâ וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֜ and say ʾāmar לִפְנֵ֣י׀ before pānîm יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ thy God, ʾĕlōhîm אֲרַמִּי֙ A Syrian ʾărammî אֹבֵ֣ד ready to perish ʾābad אָבִ֔י my father, ʾāb וַיֵּ֣רֶד and he went down yārad מִצְרַ֔יְמָה into Egypt, miṣrayim וַיָּ֥גָר and sojourned gûr שָׁ֖ם there šām בִּמְתֵ֣י with mat מְעָ֑ט a few, mĕʿaṭ וַֽיְהִי and became hāyâ שָׁ֕ם there šām לְג֥וֹי a nation, gôy גָּד֖וֹל great, gādôl עָצ֥וּם mighty, ʿāṣûm וָרָֽב׃ and populous: rab
  6. וַיָּרֵ֧עוּ evil entreated rāʿaʿ אֹתָ֛נוּ ʾēt הַמִּצְרִ֖ים And the Egyptians miṣrî וַיְעַנּ֑וּנוּ us, and afflicted ʿānâ וַיִּתְּנ֥וּ us, and laid nātan עָלֵ֖ינוּ upon ʿal עֲבֹדָ֥ה bondage: ʿăbōdâ קָשָֽׁה׃ us hard qāše
  7. וַנִּצְעַ֕ק And when we cried ṣāʿaq אֶל unto ʾēl יְהוָ֖ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֵ֣י God ʾĕlōhîm אֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ of our fathers, ʾāb וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע heard šāmaʿ יְהוָה֙ the Lord yĕhōwâ אֶת ʾēt קֹלֵ֔נוּ our voice, qôl וַיַּ֧רְא and looked on rāʾâ אֶת ʾēt עָנְיֵ֛נוּ our affliction, ʿŏnî וְאֶת ʾēt עֲמָלֵ֖נוּ and our labour, ʿāmāl וְאֶת ʾēt לַֽחֲצֵֽנוּ׃ and our oppression: laḥaṣ
  8. וַיּֽוֹצִאֵ֤נוּ brought us forth yāṣāʾ יְהוָה֙ And the Lord yĕhōwâ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם out of Egypt miṣrayim בְּיָ֤ד hand, yād חֲזָקָה֙ with a mighty ḥāzāq וּבִזְרֹ֣עַ arm, zĕrôaʿ נְטוּיָ֔ה and with an outstretched nāṭâ וּבְמֹרָ֖א terribleness, môrāʾ גָּדֹ֑ל and with great gādôl וּבְאֹת֖וֹת and with signs, ʾôt וּבְמֹֽפְתִֽים׃ and with wonders: môpēt
  9. וַיְבִאֵ֖נוּ And he hath brought bôʾ אֶל us into ʾēl הַמָּק֣וֹם place, māqôm הַזֶּ֑ה this ze וַיִּתֶּן and hath given nātan לָ֙נוּ֙ אֶת us ʾēt הָאָ֣רֶץ land, ʾereṣ הַזֹּ֔את this zōt אֶ֛רֶץ a land ʾereṣ זָבַ֥ת that floweth zûb חָלָ֖ב with milk ḥālāb וּדְבָֽשׁ׃ and honey. dĕbaš
  10. וְעַתָּ֗ה And now, ʿattâ הִנֵּ֤ה behold, hinnē הֵבֵ֙אתִי֙ I have brought bôʾ אֶת ʾēt רֵאשִׁית֙ rēʾšît פְּרִ֣י the firstfruits pĕrî הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה of the land, ʾădāmâ אֲשֶׁר which ʾăšer נָתַ֥תָּה hast given nātan לִּ֖י יְהוָ֑ה thou, O Lord, yĕhōwâ וְהִנַּחְתּ֗וֹ me. And thou shalt set yānaḥ לִפְנֵי֙ it before pānîm יְהוָ֣ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ thy God, ʾĕlōhîm וְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִ֔יתָ and worship šāḥâ לִפְנֵ֖י before pānîm יְהוָ֥ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ thy God: ʾĕlōhîm
  11. וְשָֽׂמַחְתָּ֣ And thou shalt rejoice śāmēaḥ בְכָל in every kōl הַטּ֗וֹב good ṭôb אֲשֶׁ֧ר which ʾăšer נָֽתַן hath given nātan לְךָ֛ יְהוָ֥ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ thy God ʾĕlōhîm וּלְבֵיתֶ֑ךָ unto thee, and unto thine house, bayit אַתָּה֙ thou, ʾattâ וְהַלֵּוִ֔י and the Levite, lēwiyyî וְהַגֵּ֖ר and the stranger gēr אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ʾăšer בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃ among you. qereb
  12. כִּ֣י When תְכַלֶּ֞ה thou hast made an end kālâ לַ֠עְשֵׂר of tithing ʿāśar אֶת ʾēt כָּל all kōl מַעְשַׂ֧ר the tithes maʿăśēr תְּבוּאָֽתְךָ֛ of thine increase tĕbûʾâ בַּשָּׁנָ֥ה year, šāne הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֖ת the third šĕlîšî שְׁנַ֣ת the year šāne הַֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֑ר of tithing, maʿăśēr וְנָֽתַתָּ֣ה and hast given nātan לַלֵּוִ֗י unto the Levite, lēwiyyî לַגֵּר֙ the stranger, gēr לַיָּת֣וֹם the fatherless, yātôm וְלָֽאַלְמָנָ֔ה and the widow, ʾalmānâ וְאָֽכְל֥וּ that they may eat ʾākal בִשְׁעָרֶ֖יךָ within thy gates, šaʿar וְשָׂבֵֽעוּ׃ and be filled; śābaʿ
  13. וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֡ Then thou shalt say ʾāmar לִפְנֵי֩ before pānîm יְהוָ֨ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ thy God, ʾĕlōhîm בִּעַ֧רְתִּי I have brought away bāʿar הַקֹּ֣דֶשׁ the hallowed things qōdeš מִן out of min הַבַּ֗יִת house, bayit וְגַ֨ם and also gam נְתַתִּ֤יו have given nātan לַלֵּוִי֙ them unto the Levite, lēwiyyî וְלַגֵּר֙ and unto the stranger, gēr לַיָּת֣וֹם to the fatherless, yātôm וְלָֽאַלְמָנָ֔ה and to the widow, ʾalmānâ כְּכָל according to all kōl מִצְוָֽתְךָ֖ thy commandments miṣwâ אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ʾăšer צִוִּיתָ֑נִי thou hast commanded ṣāwâ לֹֽא me: I have not lōʾ עָבַ֥רְתִּי transgressed ʿābar מִמִּצְוֹתֶ֖יךָ thy commandments, miṣwâ וְלֹ֥א neither lōʾ שָׁכָֽחְתִּי׃ have I forgotten šākaḥ
  14. לֹֽא I have not lōʾ אָכַ֨לְתִּי eaten ʾākal בְאֹנִ֜י in my mourning, ʾāwen מִמֶּ֗נּוּ thereof min וְלֹֽא neither lōʾ בִעַ֤רְתִּי have I taken away bāʿar מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ thereof min בְּטָמֵ֔א for unclean ṭāmēʾ וְלֹֽא nor lōʾ נָתַ֥תִּי given nātan מִמֶּ֖נּוּ thereof min לְמֵ֑ת for the dead: mût שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי I have hearkened šāmaʿ בְּקוֹל֙ to the voice qôl יְהוָ֣ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהָ֔י my God, ʾĕlōhîm עָשִׂ֕יתִי have done ʿāśâ כְּכֹ֖ל according to all kōl אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ʾăšer צִוִּיתָֽנִי׃ thou hast commanded me. ṣāwâ
  15. הַשְׁקִיפָה֩ Look down šāqap מִמְּע֨וֹן habitation, māʿôn קָדְשְׁךָ֜ from thy holy qōdeš מִן from min הַשָּׁמַ֗יִם heaven, šāmayim וּבָרֵ֤ךְ and bless bārak אֶֽת ʾēt עַמְּךָ֙ thy people ʿam אֶת ʾēt יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל Israel, yiśrāʾēl וְאֵת֙ ʾēt הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה and the land ʾădāmâ אֲשֶׁ֥ר which ʾăšer נָתַ֖תָּה thou hast given nātan לָ֑נוּ כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֤ר us, as ʾăšer נִשְׁבַּ֙עְתָּ֙ thou swarest šābaʿ לַֽאֲבֹתֵ֔ינוּ unto our fathers, ʾāb אֶ֛רֶץ a land ʾereṣ זָבַ֥ת that floweth zûb חָלָ֖ב with milk ḥālāb וּדְבָֽשׁ׃ and honey. dĕbaš
  16. הַיּ֣וֹם day yôm הַזֶּ֗ה This ze יְהוָ֨ה the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ thy God ʾĕlōhîm מְצַוְּךָ֧ hath commanded ṣāwâ לַֽעֲשׂ֛וֹת thee to do ʿāśâ אֶת ʾēt הַֽחֻקִּ֥ים statutes ḥōq הָאֵ֖לֶּה these ʾēlle וְאֶת ʾēt הַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֑ים and judgments: mišpāṭ וְשָֽׁמַרְתָּ֤ thou shalt therefore keep šāmar וְעָשִׂ֙יתָ֙ and do ʿāśâ אוֹתָ֔ם ʾēt בְּכָל them with all kōl לְבָֽבְךָ֖ thine heart, lēbāb וּבְכָל and with all kōl נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ thy soul. nepeš
  17. אֶת ʾēt יְהוָ֥ה the Lord yĕhōwâ הֶֽאֱמַ֖רְתָּ Thou hast avouched ʾāmar הַיּ֑וֹם this day yôm לִֽהְיוֹת֩ to be hāyâ לְךָ֙ לֵֽאלֹהִ֜ים thy God, ʾĕlōhîm וְלָלֶ֣כֶת and to walk hālak בִּדְרָכָ֗יו in his ways, derek וְלִשְׁמֹ֨ר and to keep šāmar חֻקָּ֧יו his statutes, ḥōq וּמִצְוֹתָ֛יו and his commandments, miṣwâ וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֖יו and his judgments, mišpāṭ וְלִשְׁמֹ֥עַ and to hearken šāmaʿ בְּקֹלֽוֹ׃ unto his voice: qôl
  18. וַֽיהוָ֞ה And the Lord yĕhōwâ הֶאֱמִֽירְךָ֣ hath avouched ʾāmar הַיּ֗וֹם thee this day yôm לִֽהְי֥וֹת to be hāyâ לוֹ֙ לְעַ֣ם people, ʿam סְגֻלָּ֔ה his peculiar sĕgullâ כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר as ʾăšer דִּבֶּר he hath promised dābar לָ֑ךְ וְלִשְׁמֹ֖ר thee, and that shouldest keep šāmar כָּל all kōl מִצְוֹתָֽיו׃ his commandments; miṣwâ
  19. וּֽלְתִתְּךָ֣ And to make nātan עֶלְי֗וֹן thee high ʿelyôn עַ֤ל above ʿal כָּל all kōl הַגּוֹיִם֙ nations gôy אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ʾăšer עָשָׂ֔ה he hath made, ʿāśâ לִתְהִלָּ֖ה in praise, tĕhillâ וּלְשֵׁ֣ם and in name, šēm וּלְתִפְאָ֑רֶת and in honour; tipʾārâ וְלִֽהְיֹתְךָ֧ and that thou mayest be hāyâ עַם people ʿam קָדֹ֛שׁ an holy qādôš לַֽיהוָ֥ה unto the Lord yĕhōwâ אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ thy God, ʾĕlōhîm כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ʾăšer דִּבֵּֽר׃ he hath spoken. dābar
