பின்பு ராஜா தன் அரமனைக்குப்போய், இராமுழுதும் போஜனம்பண்ணாமலும், கீதவாத்தியம் முதலானவைகளைத் தனக்கு முன்பாக வரவொட்டாமலும் இருந்தான்; அவனுக்கு நித்திரையும் வராமற்போயிற்று.

பிறகு அரசனான தரியு தன் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிப் போனான். அரசன் அன்றிரவு உணவு உண்ணவில்லை, அவன் யாரும் வந்து வேடிக்கை செய்து மகிழ்வூட்டுவதை விரும்பவில்லை. அரசனால் இரவு முழுவதும் தூங்க முடியவில்லை.
