1பின்பு இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரராகிய சபையார் எல்லாரும் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையின்படியே சீன்வனாந்தரத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, பிரயாணம்பண்ணி, ரெவிதீமிலே வந்து பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்; அங்கே ஜனங்களுக்குக் குடிக்கத் தண்ணீர் இல்லாதிருந்தது.And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.
2அப்பொழுது ஜனங்கள் மோசேயோடே வாதாடி: நாங்கள் குடிக்கிறதற்கு எங்களுக்குத் தண்ணீர் தரவேண்டும் என்றார்கள். அதற்கு மோசே: என்னோடே ஏன் வாதாடுகிறீர்கள், கர்த்தரை ஏன் பரீட்சை பார்க்கிறீர்கள் என்றான்.Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
3ஜனங்கள் அவ்விடத்திலே தண்ணீர்த் தவனமாயிருந்தபடியால், அவர்கள் மோசேக்கு விரோதமாய் முறுமுறுத்து: நீர் எங்களையும் எங்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும் எங்கள் ஆடுமாடுகளையும் தண்ணீர்த் தவனத்தினால் கொன்றுபோட எங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து ஏன் கொண்டு வந்தீர் என்றார்கள்.And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
4மோசே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு: இந்த ஜனங்களுக்கு நான் என்ன செய்வேன், இவர்கள் என்மேல் கல்லெறியப் பார்க்கிறார்களே என்றான்.And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.
5அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ இஸ்ரவேல் மூப்பரில் சிலரை உன்னோடே கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, நீ நதியை அடித்த உன் கோலை உன் கையிலே பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, ஜனங்களுக்கு முன்னே நடந்துபோ.And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.
6அங்கே ஓரேபிலே நான் உனக்கு முன்பாகக் கன்மலையின்மேல் நிற்பேன்; நீ அந்தக் கன்மலையை அடி; அப்பொழுது ஜனங்கள் குடிக்க அதிலிருந்து தண்ணீர் புறப்படும் என்றார்; அப்படியே மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் மூப்பரின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் செய்தான்.Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
7இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் வாதாடினதினிமித்தமும், கர்த்தர் எங்கள் நடுவில் இருக்கிறாரா இல்லையா என்று அவர்கள் கர்த்தரைப் பரீட்சை பார்த்ததினிமித்தமும், அவன் அந்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கு மாசா என்றும் மேரிபா என்றும் பேரிட்டான்.And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?
8அமலேக்கியர் வந்து ரெவிதீமிலே இஸ்ரவேலரோடே யுத்தம் பண்ணினார்கள்.Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
9அப்பொழுது மோசே யோசுவாவை நோக்கி: நீ நமக்காக மனிதரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, புறப்பட்டு, அமலேக்கோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணு; நாளைக்கு நான் மலையுச்சியில் தேவனுடைய கோலை என் கையில் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு நிற்பேன் என்றான்.And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
10யோசுவா தனக்கு மோசே சொன்னபடியே செய்து, அமலேக்கோடே யுத்தம் பண்ணினான். மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் ஊர் என்பவனும் மலையுச்சியில் ஏறினார்கள்.So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
11மோசே தன் கையை ஏறெடுத்திருக்கையில், இஸ்ரவேலர் மேற்கொண்டார்கள்; அவன் தன் கையைத் தாழவிடுகையில், அமலேக்கு மேற்கொண்டான்.And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12மோசேயின் கைகள் அசந்துபோயிற்று, அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் ஒரு கல்லைக் கொண்டுவந்து அவன் கீழே வைத்தார்கள்; அதின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்தான்; ஆரோனும் ஊரும் ஒருவன் ஒரு பக்கத்திலும் ஒருவன் மறு பக்கத்திலும் இருந்து, அவன் கைகளைத் தாங்கினார்கள்; இவ்விதமாய் அவன் கைகள் சூரியன் அஸ்தமிக்கும்வரைக்கும் ஒரே நிலையாயிருந்தது.But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
13யோசுவா அமலேக்கையும் அவன் ஜனங்களையும் பட்டயக்கருக்கினாலே முறிய அடித்தான்.And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
14பின்பு கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: இதை நினைவுகூரும்பொருட்டு, நீ ஒரு புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதி, யோசுவாவின் செவி கேட்கும்படி வாசி. அமலேக்கை வானத்தின் கீழெங்கும் இராதபடிக்கு நாசம் பண்ணுவேன் என்றார்.And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
15மோசே ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, அதற்கு யேகோவாநிசி என்று பேரிட்டு,And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:
16அமலேக்கின் கை கர்த்தருடைய சிங்காசனத்துக்கு விரோதமாயிருந்தபடியால், தலைமுறை தலைமுறைதோறும் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய் கர்த்தரின் யுத்தம் நடக்கும் என்றான்.For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
1Pinpu Israel puththiraraakiya Sabaiyaar ellaarum karththarutaiya kattalaiyinpatiyae seenvanaantharaththilirunthu purappattu, pirayaanampannnni, revitheemilae vanthu paalayamiranginaarkal; angae janangalukkuk kutikkath thannnneer illaathirunthathu.And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.
2Appoluthu janangal Mosesyotae vaathaati: naangal kutikkiratharku engalukkuth thannnneer tharavaenndum entarkal. Atharku Moses: ennotae aen vaathaadukireerkal, karththarai aen pareetchaை paarkkireerkal entan.Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
3Janangal avvidaththilae thannnneerth thavanamaayirunthapatiyaal, avarkal Moseskku virothamaay muraுmuraுththu: neer engalaiyum engal pillaikalaiyum engal aadumaadukalaiyum thannnneerth thavanaththinaal kontupoda engalai ekipthilirunthu aen konndu vantheer entarkal.And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
4Moses karththarai Nnokkik kooppittu: intha janangalukku naan enna seyvaen, ivarkal enmael kalleriyap paarkkiraarkalae entan.And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.
5Appoluthu Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: nee Israel moopparil silarai unnotae koottikkonndu, nee nathiyai atiththa un kolai un kaiyilae pitiththukkonndu, janangalukku munnae nadanthupo.And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.

10Yosuvaa thanakku Moses sonnapatiyae seythu, amalaekkotae yuththam pannnninaan. Mosesyum aaronum oor enpavanum malaiyuchchiyil aerinaarkal.So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

16Amalaekkin kai karththarutaiya singaasanaththukku virothamaayirunthapatiyaal, thalaimurai thalaimuraithoraுm avanukku virothamaay karththarin yuththam nadakkum entan.For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
