சிறைச்சாலைக்காரன் நித்திரைதெளிந்து, சிறைச்சாலையின் கதவுகள் திறந்திருக்கிறதைக் கண்டு, கட்டுண்டவர்கள் ஓடிப்போனார்களென்று எண்ணி, பட்டயத்தை உருவித் தன்னைக் கொலைசெய்து கொள்ளப்போனான்.
