அப்படியே அவனிடத்தில் சேவிக்கிறவன் அவளை வெளியே தள்ளி, கதவைப் பூட்டினான்; அவள் பலவருணமான வஸ்திரத்தை உடுத்திக்கொண்டிருந்தாள்; ராஜகுமாரத்திகளாகிய கன்னிகைகள் இப்படிக்கொத்த, சால்வைகளைத் தரித்துக்கொள்வார்கள்.

அவ்வாறே அம்னோனின் வேலைக்காரன் தாமாரை அறைக்கு வெளியே நடத்தி, கதவைத் தாழிட்டான். தாமார் பலநிறங்களுள்ள ஒரு நீண்ட அங்கி அணிந்திருந்தாள். அரசனின் கன்னிப் பெண்கள் (மகள்கள்) இத்தகைய நீண்ட பலவர்ண அங்கி அணிவது வழக்கமாக இருந்தது.
