பின்பு அவர்கள் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் நோக்கி: நாம் செய்கிறது நியாயமல்ல, இந்நாள் நற்செய்தி அறிவிக்கும் நாள்; நாம் மவுனமாயிருந்து, பொழுது விடியுமட்டும் காத்திருந்தால் குற்றம் நம்மேல் சுமரும்; இப்போதும் நாம் போய் ராஜாவின் அரமனையாருக்கு இதை அறிவிப்போம் வாருங்கள் என்றார்கள்.

பிறகு அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள், “நாம் தவறு செய்கிறோம்! இன்று நம்மிடம் நல்ல செய்தி உள்ளது. ஆனால் அமைதியாக இருக்கிறோம். விடியும்வரை இவ்வாறு இருந்தால் தண்டிக்கப்படுவோம். எனவே இப்போது அரசனுடைய வீட்டில் இருக்கிற ஜனங்களிடம் சொல்வோம்” என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டனர்.

Pinpu avarkal oruvarai oruvar Nnokki: naam seykirathu niyaayamalla, innaal narseythi arivikkum naal; naam mavunamaayirunthu, poluthu vitiyumattum kaaththirunthaal kuttam nammael sumarum; ippothum naam poy raajaavin aramanaiyaarukku ithai arivippom vaarungal entarkal.

a day יוֹם yôm yome
of good tidings, בְּשֹׂרָ֣ה bĕśôrâ beh-soh-RA
ה֔וּא hûʾ hoo
and we וַֽאֲנַ֣חְנוּ ʾănaḥnû uh-nahk-NOO
hold our peace: מַחְשִׁ֗ים ḥāšâ ha-SHA
if we tarry וְחִכִּ֛ינוּ ḥākâ ha-HA
till עַד ʿad ad
light, א֥וֹר ʾôr ore
the morning הַבֹּ֖קֶר bōqer boh-KER
will come upon וּמְצָאָ֣נוּ māṣāʾ ma-TSA
some mischief עָו֑וֹן ʿāwōn ah-VONE
us: now וְעַתָּה֙ ʿattâ ah-TA
therefore come, לְכ֣וּ hālak ha-LAHK
that we may go וְנָבֹ֔אָה bôʾ boh
and tell וְנַגִּ֖ידָה nāgad na-ɡAHD
