12 கர்த்தருடைய பலிபீடத்திற்கு இஸ்ரவேல் முன்னே சபையார் எல்லாருக்கும் திரளாக நின்று தன் கைகளை விரித்தான். And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:

13 சாலொமோன் ஐந்து முழ நீளமும், ஐந்து முழ அகலமும், மூன்று முழ உயரமுமான ஒரு வெண்கலப்பிரசங்கபீடத்தை உண்டாக்கி, அதை நடுப்பிராகாரத்திலே வைத்திருந்தான்; அதின்மேல் அவன் நின்று, இஸ்ரவேலின் சபையாரெல்லாருக்கும் எதிராக முழங்காற்படியிட்டு, தன் கைகளை வானத்திற்கு நேராக விரித்து: For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.

14 இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, வானத்திலும் பூமியிலும் உமக்கு ஒப்பான தேவனில்லை; தங்கள் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நடக்கிற உமது அடியாருக்கு உடன்படிக்கையையும் கிருபையையும் காத்துவருகிறீர். And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and showest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:

15 தேவரீர் என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது என்னும் உமது அடியானுக்குச் செய்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்தைக் காத்தருளினீர்; உம்முடைய வாக்கினால் அதைச் சொன்னீர்; உம்முடைய கரத்தினால் அதை இந்நாளிலிருக்கிறபடி நிறைவேற்றினீர். Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.

16 இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, தேவரீர் என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது என்னும் உமது அடியானை நோக்கி: நீ எனக்கு முன்பாக நடந்ததுபோல, உன் குமாரரும் என் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் நடக்கும்படி தங்கள் வழியைக் காப்பார்களேயானால், இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கும் புருஷன் எனக்கு முன்பாக உனக்கு இல்லாமற்போவதில்லை என்று சொன்னதை இப்பொழுது அவனுக்கு நிறைவேற்றும். Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

17 இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, தேவரீர் உமது அடியானாகிய தாவீதுக்குச் சொன்ன உம்முடைய வார்த்தை மெய் என்று விளங்குவதாக. Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.

18 தேவன் மெய்யாக மனுஷரோடே பூமியிலே வாசம்பண்ணுவாரோ? இதோ, வானங்களும், வானாதி வானங்களும் உம்மைக் கொள்ளாதே; நான் கட்டின இந்த ஆலயம் எம்மாத்திரம்? But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!

19 என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உமது அடியேன் உமது சந்நிதியில் செய்கிற விண்ணப்பத்தையும் மன்றாட்டையும் கேட்டு, உமது அடியேனுடைய விண்ணப்பத்தையும் வேண்டுதலையும் திருவுளத்தில் கொண்டருளும். Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:

20 உமது அடியேன் இவ்விடத்திலேசெய்யும் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்க, என் நாமம் விளங்குமென்று நீர் சொன்ன ஸ்தலமாகிய இந்த ஆலயத்தின்மேல் உம்முடைய கண்கள் இரவும்பகலும் திறந்திருப்பதாக. That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.

21 உமது அடியேனும், இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலே விண்ணப்பம் செய்யப்போகிற உமது ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலும் பண்ணும் ஜெபங்களைக் கேட்டருளும்; பரலோகமாகிய உம்முடைய வாசஸ்தலத்திலே நீர் அதைக் கேட்பீராக, கேட்டு மன்னிப்பீராக. Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive.

22 ஒருவன் தன் அயலானுக்குக் குற்றம் செய்திருக்கையில், இவன் அவனை ஆணையிடச் சொல்லும்போது, அந்த ஆணை இந்த ஆலயத்திலே உம்முடைய பலிபீடத்திற்கு முன்பாக வந்தால், If a man sin against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house;

23 அப்பொழுது பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற தேவரீர் கேட்டு, துன்மார்க்கனுடைய நடக்கையை அவன் தலையின்மேல் சுமரப்பண்ணி, அவனுக்கு நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டவும், நீதிமானுக்கு அவனுடைய நீதிக்குத்தக்கதாய்ச் செய்து அவனை நீதிமானாக்கவுந்தக்கதாய், உமது அடியாரை நியாயந்தீர்ப்பீராக. Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.

24 உம்முடைய ஜனங்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலர் உமக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவஞ்செய்ததினிமித்தம் சத்துருவுக்கு முன்பாக முறிந்துபோய், உம்மிடத்திற்குத்திரும்பி, உம்முடைய நாமத்தை அறிக்கைபண்ணி, இந்த ஆலயத்திலே உம்முடைய சந்நிதியில் விண்ணப்பத்தையும் வேண்டுதலையும் செய்தால், And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house;

25 பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற தேவரீர் கேட்டு, உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின் பாவத்தை மன்னித்து, அவர்களுக்கும் அவர்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கும் நீர் கொடுத்த தேசத்துக்கு அவர்களைத் திரும்பிவரப்பண்ணுவீராக. Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.

26 அவர்கள் உமக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்ததினால், வானம் அடைபட்டு மழை பெய்யாதிருக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் இந்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கு நேராக விண்ணப்பஞ்செய்து உம்முடைய நாமத்தை அறிக்கைபண்ணி, தேவரீர் தங்களைக் கிலேசப்படுத்துகையில் தங்கள் பாவங்களை விட்டுத் திரும்பினால், When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;

27 பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற தேவரீர் கேட்டு, உமது அடியாரும் உமது ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலும் செய்த பாவத்தை மன்னித்து, அவர்கள் நடக்கவேண்டிய நல்வழியை அவர்களுக்குப் போதித்து, தேவரீர் உமது ஜனத்திற்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்த உம்முடைய தேசத்தில் மழைபெய்யக் கட்டளையிடுவீராக. Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.

28 தேசத்திலே பஞ்சம் உண்டாகிறபோதும், கொள்ளைநோய் உண்டாகிறபோதும், வறட்சி, சாவி, வெட்டுக்கிளி, பச்சைக்கிளி உண்டாகிறபோதும் அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்கள் அவர்கள் வாசஞ்செய்கிற தேசத்திலே அவர்களை முற்றிக்கை போடுகிறபோதும், யாதொரு வாதையாகிலும் யாதொரு வியாதியாகிலும் வந்திருக்கிறபோதும், If there be dearth in the land, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillars; if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land; whatsoever sore or whatsoever sickness there be:

29 எந்த மனுஷனானாலும், இஸ்ரவேலாகிய உம்முடைய ஜனத்தில் எவனானாலும், தன் தன் வாதையையும் வியாகுலத்தையும் உணர்ந்து, இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கு நேராகத் தன் கைகளை விரித்துச் செய்யும் சகல விண்ணப்பத்தையும், சகல வேண்டுதலையும், Then what prayer or what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house:

30 உம்முடைய வாசஸ்தலமாகிய பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற தேவரீர் கேட்டு மன்னித்து, Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)

31 தேவரீர் எங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்குக்கொடுத்த தேசத்தில் அவர்கள் உயிரோடிருக்கும் நாளெல்லாம் உமக்குப் பயப்பட்டு, உம்முடைய வழிகளில் நடக்கும்படிக்கு தேவரீர் ஒருவரே மனுபுத்திரரின் இருதயத்தை அறிந்தவரானதால், நீர் அவனவன் இருதயத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிறபடியே, அவனவனுடைய எல்லா வழிகளுக்கும் தக்கதாய்ச் செய்து பலனளிப்பீராக. That they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

32 உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் ஜாதியல்லாத அந்நிய ஜாதியார் உம்முடைய மகத்துவமான நாமத்தினிமித்தமும், உம்முடைய பலத்த கரத்தினிமித்தமும், ஓங்கிய உம்முடைய புயத்தினிமித்தமும், தூரதேசங்களிலிருந்து வந்து, இந்த ஆலயத்துக்கு நேராக நின்று விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினால், Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;

33 உமது வாசஸ்தலமாகிய பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற தேவரீர் அதைக் கேட்டு, பூமியின் ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலைப்போல, உம்முடைய நாமத்தை அறிந்து உமக்குப்பயப்பட்டு, நான் கட்டின இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கு உம்முடைய நாமம் தரிக்கப்பட்டதென்று அறியும்படிக்கு, அந்த அந்நிய ஜாதியான் உம்மை நோக்கி வேண்டிக்கொள்வதின்படி தேவரீர் செய்வீராக. Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.

34 நீர் உம்முடைய ஜனங்களை அனுப்பும் வழியிலே அவர்கள் தங்கள் சத்துருக்களோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணப் புறப்படும்போது, நீர் தெரிந்துகொண்ட இந்த நகரத்துக்கும், உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்கு நான் கட்டின இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கும் நேராக விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினால், If thy people go out to war against their enemies by the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray unto thee toward this city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name;

35 பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற தேவரீர் அவர்கள் விண்ணப்பத்தையும் வேண்டுதலையும் கேட்டு, அவர்கள் நியாயத்தை விசாரிப்பீராக. Then hear thou from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

36 பாவஞ்செய்யாத மனுஷன் இல்லையே; ஆகையால் அவர்கள் உமக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்து, தேவரீர் அவர்கள்மேல் கோபங்கொண்டு, அவர்கள் சத்துருக்கள் கையில் அவர்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கிறதினால், அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடிக்கிறவர்கள் அவர்களைத் தூரத்திலாகிலும் சமீபத்திலாகிலும் இருக்கிற தங்கள் தேசத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோயிருக்கையில், If they sin against thee, (for there is no man which sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them over before their enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near;

37 அவர்கள் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போன தேசத்திலே தங்களில் உணர்வடைந்து, மனந்திரும்பி: நாங்கள் பாவஞ்செய்து அக்கிரமம்பண்ணி, துன்மார்க்கமாய் நடந்தோம் என்று தங்கள் சிறையிருப்பான தேசத்திலே உம்மை நோக்கிக் கெஞ்சி, Yet if they bethink themselves in the land whither they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly;

38 தாங்கள் சிறைகளாகக் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்ட தங்கள் சிறையிருப்பான தேசத்திலே, தங்கள் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் தங்கள் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் உம்மிடத்தில் திரும்பி, தேவரீர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த தங்கள் தேசத்திற்கும், தேவரீர் தெரிந்துகொண்ட இந்த நகரத்திற்கும், உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்கு நான் கட்டின இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கும் நேராக உம்மை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினால், If they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I have built for thy name:

39 உம்முடைய வாசஸ்தலமாகிய பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற தேவரீர் அவர்கள் விண்ணப்பத்தையும் ஜெபங்களையும்கேட்டு, அவர்கள் நியாயத்தை விசாரித்து, உமக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்த உம்முடைய ஜனத்திற்கு மன்னித்தருளும். Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people which have sinned against thee.

40 இப்போதும் என் தேவனே, இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலே செய்யப்படும் விண்ணப்பத்திற்கு உம்முடைய கண்கள் திறந்தவைகளும், உம்முடைய செவிகள் கவனிக்கிறவைகளுமாயிருப்பதாக. Now, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and let thine ears be attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

41 தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய தாபர ஸ்தலத்திற்கு தேவரீர் உமது வல்லமை விளங்கும் பெட்டியுடன் எழுந்தரும்; தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உமது ஆசாரியர் இரட்சிப்பைத் தரித்து, உம்முடைய பரிசுத்தவான்கள் நன்மையிலே மகிழ்வார்களாக. Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.

12 Karththarutaiya palipeedaththirku Israel munnae Sabaiyaar ellaarukkum thiralaaka nintu than kaikalai viriththaan. And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:

13 Saalomon ainthu mula neelamum, ainthu mula akalamum, moontu mula uyaramumaana oru vennkalappirasangapeedaththai unndaakki, athai naduppiraakaaraththilae vaiththirunthaan; athinmael avan nintu, isravaelin Sabaiyaarellaarukkum ethiraaka mulangaarpatiyittu, than kaikalai vaanaththirku naeraaka viriththu: For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.

14 Isravaelin thaevanaakiya karththaavae, vaanaththilum poomiyilum umakku oppaana thaevanillai; thangal mulu iruthayaththodum umakku munpaaka nadakkira umathu atiyaarukku udanpatikkaiyaiyum kirupaiyaiyum kaaththuvarukireer. And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and showest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:

15 Thaevareer en thakappanaakiya David ennum umathu atiyaanukkuch seytha vaakkuththaththaththaik kaaththarulineer; ummutaiya vaakkinaal athaich sonneer; ummutaiya karaththinaal athai innaalilirukkirapati niraivaettineer. Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.

16 Isravaelin thaevanaakiya karththaavae, thaevareer en thakappanaakiya David ennum umathu atiyaanai Nnokki: nee enakku munpaaka nadanthathupola, un kumaararum en niyaayappiramaanaththil nadakkumpati thangal valiyaik kaappaarkalaeyaanaal, isravaelin singaasanaththil veettirukkum purushan enakku munpaaka unakku illaamarpovathillai entu sonnathai ippoluthu avanukku niraivaettaுm. Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

17 Isravaelin thaevanaakiya karththaavae, thaevareer umathu atiyaanaakiya Davidkkuch sonna ummutaiya vaarththai mey entu vilanguvathaaka. Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.

18 Dhevan meyyaaka manusharotae poomiyilae vaasampannnuvaaro? Itho, vaanangalum, vaanaathi vaanangalum ummaik kollaathae; naan kattina intha aalayam emmaaththiram? But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!

19 En thaevanaakiya karththaavae, umathu atiyaen umathu sannithiyil seykira vinnnappaththaiyum mantattaைyum kaettu, umathu atiyaenutaiya vinnnappaththaiyum vaennduthalaiyum thiruvulaththil konndarulum. Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:

20 Umathu atiyaen ivvidaththilaeseyyum vinnnappaththaik kaetka, en naamam vilangumentu neer sonna sthalamaakiya intha aalayaththinmael ummutaiya kannkal iravumpakalum thiranthiruppathaaka. That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.

21 Umathu atiyaenum, intha sthalaththilae vinnnappam seyyappokira umathu janamaakiya isravaelum pannnum jepangalaik kaettarulum; paralokamaakiya ummutaiya vaasasthalaththilae neer athaik kaetpeeraaka, kaettu mannippeeraaka. Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive.

22 Oruvan than ayalaanukkuk kuttam seythirukkaiyil, ivan avanai aannaiyidach sollumpothu, antha aannai intha aalayaththilae ummutaiya palipeedaththirku munpaaka vanthaal, If a man sin against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house;

23 Appoluthu paralokaththilirukkira thaevareer kaettu, thunmaarkkanutaiya nadakkaiyai avan thalaiyinmael sumarappannnni, avanukku neethiyaich sarikkattavum, neethimaanukku avanutaiya neethikkuththakkathaaych seythu avanai neethimaanaakkavunthakkathaay, umathu atiyaarai niyaayantheerppeeraaka. Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.

24 Ummutaiya janangalaakiya isravaelar umakku virothamaakap paavanjaெythathinimiththam saththuruvukku munpaaka murinthupoy, ummidaththirkuththirumpi, ummutaiya naamaththai arikkaipannnni, intha aalayaththilae ummutaiya sannithiyil vinnnappaththaiyum vaennduthalaiyum seythaal, And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house;

25 Paralokaththilirukkira thaevareer kaettu, ummutaiya janamaakiya isravaelin paavaththai manniththu, avarkalukkum avarkal pithaakkalukkum neer koduththa thaesaththukku avarkalaith thirumpivarappannnuveeraaka. Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.

26 Avarkal umakku virothamaayp paavanjaெythathinaal, vaanam ataipattu malai peyyaathirukkumpothu, avarkal intha sthalaththirku naeraaka vinnnappanjaெythu ummutaiya naamaththai arikkaipannnni, thaevareer thangalaik kilaesappaduththukaiyil thangal paavangalai vittuth thirumpinaal, When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;

27 Paralokaththilirukkira thaevareer kaettu, umathu atiyaarum umathu janamaakiya isravaelum seytha paavaththai manniththu, avarkal nadakkavaenntiya nalvaliyai avarkalukkup pothiththu, thaevareer umathu janaththirkuch suthantharamaakak koduththa ummutaiya thaesaththil malaipeyyak kattalaiyiduveeraaka. Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.
