கேராரின் சுற்றுப்பட்டணங்களையெல்லாம் முறிய அடித்தார்கள்; கர்த்தரால் அவர்களுக்குப் பயங்கரம் உண்டாயிற்று; அந்தப் பட்டணங்களையெல்லாம் கொள்ளையிட்டார்கள், அவைகளில் கொள்ளை மிகுதியாய் அகப்பட்டது.

ஆசாவும், அவனது படையினரும் கேரார் அருகிலுள்ள அனைத்து நகரங்களையும் தோற்கடித்தனர். அந்நகரங்களில் வாழ்ந்த ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு பயந்தார்கள். அந்நகரங்களில் ஏராளமாக விலையுயர்ந்தப் பொருட்கள் இருந்தன. அவற்றிலிருந்து ஆசாவின் படையினர் அந்த விலையுயர்ந்த பொருட்களை அள்ளிக்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்.
