1 தாவீதின் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோன் தன் ராஜ்யத்திலே பலப்பட்டான்; அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவனுடனே இருந்து அவனை மிகவும் பெரியவனாக்கினார். And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

2 சாலொமோன் ஆயிரம்பேருக்கு அதிபதிகளும், நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளும், நியாயாதிபதிகளும், இஸ்ரவேல் எங்குமிருக்கிற வம்சங்களின் தலைவராகிய சகல பிரபுக்களுமான இஸ்ரவேல் அனைவரோடும் பேசி, Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

3 அவனும் அவனோடேகூடச் சபையாரனைவரும், கிபியோனிலிருக்கிற மேடைக்குப் போனார்கள். So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

4 தாவீது தேவனுடைய பெட்டிக்கு எருசலேமிலே கூடாரம்போட்டு ஆயத்தம்பண்ணின ஸ்தலத்திற்குக் கீரியாத்யாரீமிலிருந்து அதைக் கொண்டுவந்தான்; கர்த்தரின் தாசனாகிய மோசே வனாந்தரத்திலே பண்ணின தேவனுடைய ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரம் அங்கே இருந்தது. But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

5 ஊரின் புத்திரனாகிய ஊரியின் குமாரன் பெசலெயேல் உண்டுபண்ணின வெண்கலப் பலிபீடமும் அங்கே கர்த்தரின் வாசஸ்தலத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருந்தது; சாலொமோனும் சபையாரும் அதை நாடிப்போனார்கள். Moreover the brazen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

6 அங்கே சாலொமோன் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திற்கு முன்பாகக் கர்த்தரின் சந்நிதியிலிருக்கிற வெண்கலப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் ஆயிரம் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளைச்செலுத்திப் பலியிட்டான். And Solomon went up thither to the brazen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

7 அன்று ராத்திரியிலே தேவன் சாலொமோனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: நீ விரும்புகிறதை என்னிடத்தில் கேள் என்றார். In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

8 சாலொமோன் தேவனை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதுக்குப்பெரிய கிருபை செய்து, என்னை அவன் ஸ்தானத்திலே ராஜாவாக்கினீர். And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

9 இப்போதும் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதுக்கு அருளின உமது வாக்குத்தத்தம் உறுதிபடுவதாக; தேவரீர் பூமியின் தூளத்தனை ஏராளமான ஜனத்தின்மேல் என்னை ராஜாவாக்கினீர். Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

10 இப்போதும் நான் இந்த ஜனத்திற்கு முன்பாகப் போக்கும் வரத்துமாயிருக்கத்தக்க அனைத்தையும் அறிவையும் எனக்குத் தந்தருளும்; ஏராளமாயிருக்கிற இந்த உம்முடைய ஜனத்தை நியாயம் விசாரிக்கத்தக்கவன் யார் என்றான். Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

11 அப்பொழுது தேவன் சாலொமோனை நோக்கி: இந்த விருப்பம் உன் இருதயத்தில் இருந்தபடியாலும், நீ ஐசுவரியத்தையும் சம்பத்தையρம் கனத்தையρம், உன் பகைޠΰின் பிராணனையும், நீடித்த ஆயுசையும் கேளாமல், நான் உன்னை அரசாளப்பண்ணின என் ஜனத்தை நியாயம் விசாரிக்கத்தக்க ஞானத்தையும் விவேகத்தையும் நீ கேட்டபடியினாலும், And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

12 ஞானமும் விகேமும் தந்திருக்கிறதுமல்லாமல், உனக்குமுன் இருந்த ராஜாக்களுக்காகிலும் உனக்குப்பின் இருக்கும் ராஜாக்களுக்காகிலும் இல்லாத ஐசுவரியத்தையும் சம்பத்தையும் கனத்தையும் உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்றார். Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

13 இப்படிச் சாலொமோன் கிபியோனிலிருக்கிற மேட்டிற்குப் போய் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தின் சந்நிதியிலிருந்து எருசலேமுக்கு வந்து, இஸ்ரவேலை அரசாண்டான். Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.

1 Thaaveethin kumaaranaakiya saalomon than raajyaththilae palappattan; avanutaiya thaevanaakiya Karththar avanudanae irunthu avanai mikavum periyavanaakkinaar. And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

2 Saalomon aayirampaerukku athipathikalum, nooraுpaerukku athipathikalum, niyaayaathipathikalum, Israel engumirukkira vamsangalin thalaivaraakiya sakala pirapukkalumaana Israel anaivarodum paesi, Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

3 Avanum avanotaekoodach Sabaiyaaranaivarum, kipiyonilirukkira maetaikkup ponaarkal. So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

4 David thaevanutaiya pettikku erusalaemilae koodaarampottu aayaththampannnnina sthalaththirkuk geeriyaathyaareemilirunthu athaik konnduvanthaan; karththarin thaasanaakiya Moses vanaantharaththilae pannnnina thaevanutaiya aasarippuk koodaaram angae irunthathu. But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

5 Oorin puththiranaakiya ooriyin kumaaran pesaleyael unndupannnnina vennkalap palipeedamum angae karththarin vaasasthalaththirku munpaaka irunthathu; saalomonum Sabaiyaarum athai naatipponaarkal. Moreover the brazen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

6 Angae saalomon aasarippuk koodaaraththirku munpaakak karththarin sannithiyilirukkira vennkalap palipeedaththinmael aayiram sarvaanga thakanapalikalaichcheluththip paliyittan. And Solomon went up thither to the brazen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

7 Antu raaththiriyilae Dhevan saalomonukkuth tharisanamaaki: nee virumpukirathai ennidaththil kael entar. In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

8 Saalomon thaevanai Nnokki: thaevareer en thakappanaakiya Davidkkupperiya kirupai seythu, ennai avan sthaanaththilae raajaavaakkineer. And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

9 Ippothum thaevanaakiya karththaavae, neer en thakappanaakiya Davidkku arulina umathu vaakkuththaththam uraுthipaduvathaaka; thaevareer poomiyin thoolaththanai aeraalamaana janaththinmael ennai raajaavaakkineer. Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

10 Ippothum naan intha janaththirku munpaakap pokkum varaththumaayirukkaththakka anaiththaiyum arivaiyum enakkuth thantharulum; aeraalamaayirukkira intha ummutaiya janaththai niyaayam visaarikkaththakkavan yaar entan. Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

11 Appoluthu Dhevan saalomonai Nnokki: intha viruppam un iruthayaththil irunthapatiyaalum, nee aisuvariyaththaiyum sampaththaiyaρm kanaththaiyaρm, un pakaiޠΰிn piraananaiyum, neetiththa aayusaiyum kaelaamal, naan unnai arasaalappannnnina en janaththai niyaayam visaarikkaththakka njaanaththaiyum vivaekaththaiyum nee kaettapatiyinaalum, And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

12 Njaanamum vikaemum thanthirukkirathumallaamal, unakkumun iruntha raajaakkalukkaakilum unakkuppin irukkum raajaakkalukkaakilum illaatha aisuvariyaththaiyum sampaththaiyum kanaththaiyum unakkuth tharuvaen entar. Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

13 Ippatich saalomon kipiyonilirukkira maettirkup poy aasarippuk koodaaraththin sannithiyilirunthu erusalaemukku vanthu, isravaelai arasaanndaan. Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.
