அப்பொழுது பெனாதாத் இவனைப் பார்த்து: என் தகப்பன் உம்முடைய தகப்பனார் கையிலே பிடித்த பட்டணங்களைத் திரும்பக் கொடுத்துவிடுகிறேன்; என் தகப்பன் சமாரியாவிலே செய்ததுபோல, நீரும் தமஸ்குவிலே வீதிகளை உண்டாக்கிக்கொள்ளலாம் என்றான். அதற்கு அவன், இந்த உடன்படிக்கை செய்து நான் உம்மை அனுப்பிவிடுகிறேன் என்று சொல்லி, அவனோடு உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணி அவனை அனுப்பிவிட்டான்.

பெனாதாத்தோ, “ஆகாப், என் தந்தை எடுத்துக்கொண்ட உங்கள் நகரங்களைத் திரும்பத்தருவேன். நீங்கள் தமஸ்குவிலே, கடை வீதிகளை என் தந்தை சமாரியாவில் செய்ததுபோன்று வைத்துக்கொள்ளலாம்” என்றான். ஆகாபோ, “இதற்கு நீ அனுமதித்தால், நான் உன்னை விட்டுவிடுவேன்” என்றான். இவ்வாறு இருவரும் சமாதான ஒப்பந்தம் செய்துகொண்டனர். பெனாதாத் விடுதலை பெற்றான்.

அப்போது பெனதாது அவனைப் பார்த்து, “என் தந்தை உம் தந்தையிடமிருந்து கைப்பற்றிய நகர்களை நான் திருப்பிக்கொடுத்து விடுகிறேன். என் தந்தை சமாரியாவில் செய்தது போல், நீரும் தமஸ்குவில் கடைவீதிகளை அமைத்துக்கொள்ளும். இதற்கான உடன்படிக்கை செய்து கொண்டபின், உம்மை நான் அனுப்பி வைப்பேன்” என்றான். அப்படியே ஆகாபு அவனோடு உடன்படிக்கை செய்து கொண்ட பின், அவனை அனுப்பிவைத்தான்.

Appoluthu penaathaath ivanaip paarththu: en thakappan ummutaiya thakappanaar kaiyilae pitiththa pattanangalaith thirumpak koduththuvidukiraேn; en thakappan samaariyaavilae seythathupola, neerum thamaskuvilae veethikalai unndaakkikkollalaam entan. Atharku avan, intha udanpatikkai seythu naan ummai anuppividukiraேn entu solli, avanodu udanpatikkai pannnni avanai anuppivittan.
