அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர் அவனை நோக்கி: ராஜசமுகத்தில் நின்று, அவருக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்யவும், ராஜாவாகிய எங்கள் ஆண்டவனுக்கு அனல் உண்டாகும்படி உம்முடைய மடியிலே படுத்துக்கொள்ளவும் கன்னியாகிய ஒரு சிறு பெண்ணை ராஜாவாகிய எங்கள் ஆண்டவனுக்குத் தேடுவோம் என்று சொல்லி,

அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: ராஜாவிற்கு முன்பாக நின்று, அவருக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்யவும், ராஜாவாகிய எங்களுடைய எஜமானுக்கு சூடு உண்டாக உம்முடைய மடியிலே படுத்துக்கொள்ளவும் கன்னியாகிய ஒரு இளம்பெண்ணை ராஜாவாகிய எங்கள் எஜமானுக்குத் தேடுவோம் என்று சொல்லி,

எனவே அவனது வேலைக்காரர்கள் அவனிடம், “உங்களை கவனித்துக்கொள்ள ஒரு சிறு பெண்ணைத் தேடுவோம். அவள் உங்கள் அருகே நெருக்கமாகப் படுத்து உங்களுக்கு சூட்டினை உண்டாக்குவாள்” என்றனர்.

unto him, Let there be sought יְבַקְשׁ֞וּ bāqaš ba-KAHSH
for my lord לַֽאדֹנִ֤י ʾādôn ah-DONE
the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ melek meh-LEK
a young נַֽעֲרָ֣ה naʿărâ na-uh-RA
virgin: בְתוּלָ֔ה bĕtûlâ beh-too-LA
and let her stand וְעָֽמְדָה֙ ʿāmad ah-MAHD
before לִפְנֵ֣י pānîm pa-NEEM
the king, הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ melek meh-LEK
וּתְהִי hāyâ ha-YA

and let her cherish סֹכֶ֑נֶת sākan sa-HAHN
him, and let her lie וְשָֽׁכְבָ֣ה šākab sha-HAHV
