அவர்களில் இருபத்துநாலாயிரம்பேர் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் வேலையை விசாரிக்கிறவர்களும், ஆறாயிரம்பேர் தலைவரும் மணியகாரருமாயிருக்கவேண்டும் என்றும்,

தாவீது அவர்களிடம், “24,000 லேவியர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் வேலையை மேற்பார்வை பார்க்க வேண்டும். 6,000 லேவியர் அதிகாரிகளாகவும் நீதிபதிகளாகவும் இருக்கவேண்டும். 54,000 லேவியர்கள் வாசல் காவலர்களாக இருக்கட்டும். 4,000 லேவியர்கள் இசைக் கலைஞர்களாக இருக்கட்டும். அவர்களுக்காக சிறப்பான இசைக் கருவிகளை தயாரித்து வைத்துள்ளேன். கர்த்தரை துதித்துப்பாட அவர்கள் அக்கருவிகளைப் பயன்படுத்துவார்கள்” என்றான்.
