அப்பொழுது பார்வோன் யோசேப்பை அழைப்பித்தான்; அவனைத் தீவிரமாய்க் காவல்கிடங்கிலிருந்து கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். அவன் சவரம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டு, வேறு வஸ்திரம் தரித்து, பார்வோனிடத்தில் வந்தான்.

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

Genesis 41:15

பார்வோன் யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: ஒரு சொப்பனம் கண்டேன்; அதின் அர்த்தத்தைச் சொல்ல ஒருவரும் இல்லை; நீ ஒரு சொப்பனத்தைக் கேட்டால், அதின் அர்த்தத்தைச் சொல்லுவாய் என்று உன்னைக்குறித்து நான் கேள்விப்பட்டேன் என்றான்.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.

Genesis 41:16

அப்பொழுது யோசேப்பு பார்வோனுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நான் அல்ல, தேவனே பார்வோனுக்கு மங்களமான உத்தரவு அருளிச் செய்வார் என்றான்.

And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

Genesis 41:17

பார்வோன் யோசேப்பை நோக்கி: என் சொப்பனத்திலே, நான் நதியோரத்தில் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தேன்.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:

Genesis 41:18

அழகும் புஷ்டியுமான ஏழு பசுக்கள் நதியிலிருந்து ஏறி வந்து புல்மேய்ந்தது.

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favored; and they fed in a meadow:

Genesis 41:19

அவைகளின்பின் இளைத்ததும் மகா அவலட்சணமும் கேவலமுமான வேறே ஏழு பசுக்கள் ஏறிவந்தது; இவைகளைப் போல அவலட்சணமான பசுக்களை எகிப்து தேசமெங்கும் நான் கண்டதில்லை.

And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favored and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:

Genesis 41:20

கேவலமும் அவலட்சணமுமான பசுக்கள் கொழுமையான முந்தின ஏழு பசுக்களையும் பட்சித்துப் போட்டது.

And the lean and the ill favored kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:

Genesis 41:21

அவைகள் இவைகளின் வயிற்றுக்குள் போயும், வயிற்றுக்குள் போயிற்றென்று தோன்றாமல், முன் இருந்தது போலவே அவலட்சணமாயிருந்தது; இப்படிக் கண்டு விழித்துக்கொண்டேன்.

And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favored, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

Genesis 41:22

பின்னும் நான் என் சொப்பனத்திலே, நிறைமேனியுள்ள ஏழு நல்ல கதிர்கள் ஒரே தாழிலிருந்து ஓங்கி வளரக்கண்டேன்.

And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:

Genesis 41:23

பின்பு சாவியானவைகளும் கீழ்காற்றினால் தீய்ந்து பதரானவைகளுமான ஏழு கதிர்கள் முளைத்தது.

And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:

Genesis 41:24

சாவியான கதிர்கள் அந்த ஏழு நல்ல கதிர்களையும் விழுங்கிப்போட்டது. இதை மந்திரவாதிகளிடத்தில் சொன்னேன்; இதின் பொருளை எனக்கு விடுவிக்கிறவன் ஒருவனும் இல்லை என்றான்.

And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
