அருவருப்பானதொன்றையும் புசிக்கவேண்டாம்.

Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

Deuteronomy 14:4

நீங்கள் புசிக்கத்தகும் மிருகங்களாவன: மாடும், செம்மறியாடும், வெள்ளாடும்,

These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

Deuteronomy 14:5

மானும், வெளிமானும், கலைமானும், வரையாடும், புள்ளிமானும், சருகுமானும், புல்வாயுமே.

The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.

Deuteronomy 14:6

மிருகங்களில் விரிகுளம்புள்ளதாயிருந்து, குளம்புகள் இரண்டாகப் பிரிந்திருக்கிறதும், அசைபோடுகிறதுமான சகல மிருகங்களையும் நீங்கள் புசிக்கலாம்;

And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.

Deuteronomy 14:7

அசைபோடுகிறவைகளிலும், விரிகுளம்புள்ளவைகளிலும், நீங்கள் புசிக்கத்தகாதவைகள் எவையென்றால்: ஒட்டகமும், முசலும், குழிமுசலுமே; அவைகள் அசைபோட்டும் அவைகளுக்கு விரிகுளம்பில்லை; அவைகள் உங்களுக்கு அசுத்தமாயிருப்பதாக.

Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.

Deuteronomy 14:8

பன்றியும் புசிக்கத்தகாது; அது விரிகுளம்புள்ளதாயிருந்தும், அசைபோடாதிருக்கும்; அது உங்களுக்கு அசுத்தமாயிருப்பதாக; இவைகளின் மாம்சத்தைப் புசியாமலும் இவைகளின் உடலைத் தொடாமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக.

And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.

Deuteronomy 14:9

ஜலத்திலிருக்கிற எல்லாவற்றிலும் சிறகும் செதிளும் உள்ளவைகளையெல்லாம் நீங்கள் புசிக்கலாம்.

These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:

Deuteronomy 14:10

சிறகும் செதிளும் இல்லாத யாதொன்றையும் புசிக்கலாகாது; அது உங்களுக்கு அசுத்தமாயிருப்பதாக.

And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

Deuteronomy 14:11

சுத்தமான சகல பட்சிகளையும் நீங்கள் புசிக்கலாம்.

Of all clean birds ye shall eat.

Deuteronomy 14:12

நீங்கள் புசிக்கத்தகாதவைகள் எவையென்றால்: கழுகும், கருடனும், கடலுராஞ்சியும்,

But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

Deuteronomy 14:13

பைரியும், வல்லுூறும், சகலவித பருந்தும்,

And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,

Deuteronomy 14:14

சகலவித காகங்களும்,

And every raven after his kind,

Deuteronomy 14:15

தீக்குருவியும், கூகையும், செம்புகமும், சகலவிதமான டேகையும்,

And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after his kind,

Deuteronomy 14:16

ஆந்தையும், கோட்டானும், நாரையும்,

The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,

Deuteronomy 14:17

கூழக்கடாவும், குருகும், நீர்க்காகமும்,

And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,

Deuteronomy 14:18

கொக்கும், சகலவித ராஜாளியும், புழுக்கொத்தியும், வெளவாலுமே.

And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

Deuteronomy 14:19

பறக்கிறவைகளில் ஊர்வன யாவும் உங்களுக்கு அசுத்தாமாயிருப்பதாக; அவைகள் புசிக்கத்தகாதவைகள்.

And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.

Deuteronomy 14:20

சுத்தமான பறவைகள் யாவையும் நீங்கள் புசிக்கலாம்.

But of all clean fowls ye may eat.

Deuteronomy 14:21

தானாய் இறந்துபோனதொன்றையும் புசிக்கவேண்டாம்; உங்கள் வாசல்களில் இருக்கிற பரதேசிக்கு அதைப் புசிக்கக் கொடுக்கலாம்; அல்லது அந்நியனுக்கு அதை விற்றுப்போடலாம்; நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஜனங்கள். வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியை அதின் தாயின் பாலிலே சமைக்கவேண்டாம்.

Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
