அந்நாளிலே நான் விக்கிரகங்களின்பேரும் தேசத்திலிராதபடிக்கு அழிப்பேன்; அவைகள் இனி நினைக்கப்படுவதில்லை; தரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் அசுத்த ஆவியையும் தேசத்திலிருந்து போய்விடவும் பண்ணுவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

அந்நாளிலே நான் விக்கிரகங்களின் பெயரும் தேசத்தில் இல்லாதபடிக்கு அழிப்பேன்; அவைகள் இனி நினைக்கப்படுவதில்லை; தரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறவர்களையும், அசுத்த ஆவியையும் தேசத்திலிருந்து போய்விடவும் செய்வேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறார்: “அந்நேரத்தில் நான் பூமியிலுள்ள அனைத்து விக்கிரகங்களையும் நீக்குவேன். ஜனங்கள் அவற்றின் பெயர்களைக் கூட நினைவில் வைத்திருக்கமாட்டார்கள். நான் பூமியிலிருந்து கள்ளத்தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும், சுத்தமற்ற ஆவிகளையும் நீக்குவேன்.

அந்நாளிலே நான் சிலைகளின் பெயர்கள் நாட்டில் இல்லாதவாறு அறவே ஒழித்துவிடுவேன்; அதன்பின் அவற்றைப் பற்றிய நினைவு யாருக்கும் இராது; மேலும் போலி இறைவாக்கினரையும் அசுத்த ஆவியையும் நாட்டிலிருந்து விரட்டி விடுவேன்” என்கிறார் படைகளின் ஆண்டவர்.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

day, בַיּ֨וֹם yôm yome
in that הַה֜וּא hûʾ hoo
saith נְאֻ֣ם׀ nĕʾum neh-OOM
the Lord יְהוָ֣ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
of hosts, צְבָא֗וֹת ṣābāʾ tsa-VA
I will cut off אַכְרִ֞ית kārat ka-RAHT
אֶת ʾēt ate
the names שְׁמ֤וֹת šēm shame
of the idols הָֽעֲצַבִּים֙ ʿāṣāb ah-TSAHV
out of מִן min meen
the land, הָאָ֔רֶץ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
and they shall no וְלֹ֥א lōʾ loh
be remembered: יִזָּכְר֖וּ zākar za-HAHR
more ע֑וֹד ʿôd ode
and also וְגַ֧ם gam ɡahm
I will cause אֶת ʾēt ate
the prophets הַנְּבִיאִ֛ים nābîʾ na-VEE
וְאֶת ʾēt ate
spirit ר֥וּחַ rûaḥ ROO-ak
and the unclean הַטֻּמְאָ֖ה ṭumʾâ toom-AH
