யோவான் 1:23
அதற்கு அவன் கர்த்தருக்கு வழியைச் செவ்வைபண்ணுங்கள் என்று ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி சொன்னபடியே, நான் வனாந்தரத்திலே கூப்பிடுகிறவனுடைய சத்தமாயிருக்கிறேன் என்றான்.

மத்தேயு 3:3
கர்த்தருக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள்; அவருக்குப் பாதைகளைச் செவ்வைபண்ணுங்கள் என்று வனாந்தரத்தில் கூப்பிடுகிறவனுடைய சத்தம் உண்டென்று, ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசியினால் சொல்லப்பட்டவன் இவனே.

மாற்கு 1:3
கர்த்தருக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள், அவருக்குப் பாதைகளைச் செவ்வைபண்ணுங்கள், என்று வனாந்தரத்திலே கூப்பிடுகிறவனுடைய சத்தம் உண்டாகும் என்றும், தீர்க்கதரிசன ஆகமங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிற பிரகாரமாய்;

கர்த்தருக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள், அவாந்தரவெளியிலே நம்முடைய தேவனுக்குப் பாதையைச் செவ்வைபண்ணுங்கள் என்றும்,

நீயோ பாலகனே, உன்னதமானவருடைய தீர்க்கதரிசி என்னப்படுவாய்; நீ கர்த்தருக்கு வழிகளை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணவும்,
