ஆதியாகமம் 15:7
பின்னும் அவர் அவனை நோக்கி: இந்தத் தேசத்தை உனக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுக்கும்பொருட்டு, உன்னை ஊர் என்கிற கல்தேயருடைய பட்டணத்திலிருந்து அழைத்து வந்த கர்த்தர் நானே என்றார்.

தேவன் ஆபிராமிடம், “நானே கர்த்தர். உன்னை பாபிலோனியாவிலுள்ள ஊர் என்னும் பட்டணத்திலிருந்து அழைத்து வந்தேன். நானே இதைச்செய்தேன். இந்தத் தேசத்தை உனக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன். இது உனக்கே உரியதாகும்” என்றார்.
