“ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੌਣ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ? ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋਂ? ਕੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ?

ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਜਾਜਕ, ਲੇਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਰੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੀਹਾਂ ਵੇਖੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਰੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ। ਜਦ ਕਿ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਬੜੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਮਚਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਹਿਜ਼ ਕੀ ਐਲ 7:20
“ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਤ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਬੁੱਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬੁੱਤ ਬਣਾਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ (ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਔਰਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਪਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।

ਹਜਿ 2:9
ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਰੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਾਂਤੀ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਾ, ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”

ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਯਾਹ 4:9
“ਜ਼ਰੁੱਬਾਬਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ। ਤੇ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਲੋਕਾ 21:5
ਮੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਕੁਝ ਚੇਲੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਦਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, “ਇਹ ਬੜਾ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧੀਆ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਤੋਹਫ਼ੇ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।”
