ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਲੈਣ ਦਿਉ। ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ-ਏਸਾਓ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੇਈਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੋਆਬੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ।’

ਪਰ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਾ ਲੰਘੇ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੋਕੇ ਗੁਜਰੋਂਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਤਲਵਾਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।”

ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 23:3
“ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅੰਮੋਨੀ ਜਾਂ ਮੋਆਬੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ 10ਵੀ ਪੀੜੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਵੀ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦੇ।

ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 11:17
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਦੋਮ ਵੱਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਭੇਜੇ। ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਰਿਆਇਤ ਮੰਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉ।” ਪਰ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹੋ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਪਰ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਕਾਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਖੇ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਏ।

ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 4:21
“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕਾਰਣ, ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੌਂਹ ਖਾਧੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਚੰਗੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 4:40
ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਜੀਵੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ-ਇਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਹੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ!”

ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 5:16

ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 20:12

ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 25:15
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਨਾਪ-ਤੋਂਲ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਹੀ ਹਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੰਮਾ ਸਮਾ ਜੀਵੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

“ਖੈਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਉ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਖੋ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ, ‘ਕੁਝ ਭੋਜਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰੋ। ਹੁਣ ਤੋਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।’”

ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 9:6
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਹੋ ਸੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਹੋ।

ਆਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੇੜਨੀ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਲੂਤ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਰ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।’”

ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 4:1
ਮੂਸਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੇਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ “ਹੁਣ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਉਣ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਰਹੇਂਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
