Deuteronomy 11:10
ਜਿਹੜੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਏ ਹੋ। ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੀਜ ਬੀਜਦੇ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੌਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਂਜਦੇ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਸੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਗੀਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।

thy seed, זַרְעֲךָ֔ zeraʿ zeh-RA
and wateredst וְהִשְׁקִ֥יתָ šāqâ sha-KA
with thy foot, בְרַגְלְךָ֖ regel reh-ɡEL
as a garden כְּגַ֥ן gan ɡahn
of herbs: הַיָּרָֽק׃ yārāq ya-RAHK
