בְּךָֽ יְהוָ֥ה In thee, O Lord, yĕhōwâ חָסִ֑יתִי do I put my trust: ḥāsâ אַל let me never ʾal אֵב֥וֹשָׁה be put to confusion. bûš לְעוֹלָֽם׃ ʿôlām

בְּצִדְקָתְךָ֗ me in thy righteousness, ṣĕdāqâ תַּצִּילֵ֥נִי Deliver nāṣal וּֽתְפַלְּטֵ֑נִי and cause me to escape: pālaṭ הַטֵּֽה incline nāṭâ אֵלַ֥י unto ʾēl אָ֝זְנְךָ֗ thine ear ʾōzen וְהוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי׃ me, and save me. yāšaʿ

הֱיֵ֤ה Be hāyâ לִ֨י׀ לְצ֥וּר thou my strong ṣûr מָע֡וֹן habitation, māʿôn לָב֗וֹא resort: bôʾ תָּמִ֗יד whereunto I may continually tāmîd צִוִּ֥יתָ thou hast given commandment ṣāwâ לְהוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נִי to save yāšaʿ כִּֽי me; for kî סַלְעִ֖י my rock selaʿ וּמְצוּדָתִ֣י and my fortress. māṣûd אָֽתָּה׃ thou ʾattâ

אֱֽלֹהַ֗י me, O my God, ʾĕlōhîm פַּ֭לְּטֵנִי Deliver pālaṭ מִיַּ֣ד out of the hand yād רָשָׁ֑ע of the wicked, rāšāʿ מִכַּ֖ף out of the hand kap מְעַוֵּ֣ל of the unrighteous ʿăwal וְחוֹמֵץ׃ and cruel man. ḥāmēṣ

כִּֽי For kî אַתָּ֥ה thou ʾattâ תִקְוָתִ֑י my hope, tiqwâ אֲדֹנָ֥י O Lord ʾădōnāy יְ֝הוִ֗ה God: yĕhōwâ מִבְטַחִ֥י my trust mibṭāḥ מִנְּעוּרָֽי׃ from my youth. nāʿûr

עָלֶ֤יךָ׀ By ʿal נִסְמַ֬כְתִּי thee have I been holden up sāmak מִבֶּ֗טֶן from the womb: beṭen מִמְּעֵ֣י bowels: mēʿe אִ֭מִּי me out of my mother's ʾēm אַתָּ֣ה thou ʾattâ גוֹזִ֑י art he that took gāzâ בְּךָ֖ תְהִלָּתִ֣י my praise tĕhillâ תָמִֽיד׃ continually of thee. tāmîd

כְּ֭מוֹפֵת as a wonder môpēt הָיִ֣יתִי I am hāyâ לְרַבִּ֑ים unto many; rab וְ֝אַתָּ֗ה but thou ʾattâ מַֽחֲסִי refuge. maḥăse עֹֽז׃ my strong ʿōz

יִמָּ֣לֵא be filled mālēʾ פִ֭י Let my mouth pe תְּהִלָּתֶ֑ךָ thy praise tĕhillâ כָּל all kōl הַ֝יּ֗וֹם the day. yôm תִּפְאַרְתֶּֽךָ׃ thy honour tipʾārâ

אַֽל ʾal תַּ֭שְׁלִיכֵנִי Cast me not off šālak לְעֵ֣ת in the time ʿēt זִקְנָ֑ה of old age; ziqnâ כִּכְל֥וֹת faileth. kālâ כֹּ֝חִ֗י when my strength kōaḥ אַֽל me not ʾal תַּעַזְבֵֽנִי׃ forsake ʿāzab

כִּֽי For kî אָמְר֣וּ speak ʾāmar אוֹיְבַ֣י mine enemies ʾōyēb לִ֑י וְשֹׁמְרֵ֥י against me; and they that lay wait for šāmar נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י my soul nepeš נוֹעֲצ֥וּ take counsel yāʿaṣ יַחְדָּֽו׃ together, yaḥad

לֵ֭אמֹר Saying, ʾāmar אֱלֹהִ֣ים God ʾĕlōhîm עֲזָב֑וֹ hath forsaken ʿāzab רִֽדְפ֥וּ him: persecute rādap וְ֝תִפְשׂ֗וּהוּ and take tāpaś כִּי him; for kî אֵ֥ין none ʾayin מַצִּֽיל׃ to deliver nāṣal

אֱ֭לֹהִים O God, ʾĕlōhîm אַל be not ʾal תִּרְחַ֣ק far rāḥaq מִמֶּ֑נִּי from min אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י me: O my God, ʾĕlōhîm לְעֶזְרָ֥תִי for my help. ʿezrâ חֽיּשָׁה׃ make haste ḥûš

יֵבֹ֣שׁוּ Let them be confounded bûš יִכְלוּ֮ consumed kālâ שֹׂטְנֵ֪י that are adversaries śāṭan נַ֫פְשִׁ֥י to my soul; nepeš יַֽעֲט֣וּ let them be covered ʿāṭâ חֶ֭רְפָּה reproach ḥerpâ וּכְלִמָּ֑ה and dishonour kĕlimmâ מְ֝בַקְשֵׁ֗י that seek bāqaš רָעָתִֽי׃ my hurt. raʿ

וַ֭אֲנִי But I ʾănî תָּמִ֣יד continually, tāmîd אֲיַחֵ֑ל will hope yāḥal וְ֝הוֹסַפְתִּ֗י thee more and more. yāsap עַל ʿal כָּל kōl תְּהִלָּתֶֽךָ׃ and will yet praise tĕhillâ

פִּ֤י׀ My mouth pe יְסַפֵּ֬ר shall shew forth sāpar צִדְקָתֶ֗ךָ thy righteousness ṣĕdāqâ כָּל all kōl הַיּ֥וֹם the day; yôm תְּשׁוּעָתֶ֑ךָ thy salvation tĕšûʿâ כִּ֤י for kî לֹ֖א not lōʾ יָדַ֣עְתִּי I know yādaʿ סְפֹרֽוֹת׃ the numbers sĕpōrâ

אָב֗וֹא I will go in bôʾ בִּ֭גְבֻרוֹת the strength gĕbûrâ אֲדֹנָ֣י of the Lord ʾădōnāy יְהוִ֑ה God: yĕhōwi אַזְכִּ֖יר I will make mention zākar צִדְקָתְךָ֣ of thy righteousness, of thine only. ṣĕdāqâ לְבַדֶּֽךָ׃ bad

אֱֽלֹהִ֗ים O God, ʾĕlōhîm לִמַּדְתַּ֥נִי thou hast taught lāmad מִנְּעוּרָ֑י me from my youth: nāʿûr וְעַד and hitherto ʿad הֵ֝֗נָּה hēnnâ אַגִּ֥יד have I declared nāgad נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ thy wondrous works. pālāʾ

וְגַ֤ם Now also gam עַד when ʿad זִקְנָ֨ה׀ I am old ziqnâ וְשֵׂיבָה֮ and grayheaded, śêbâ אֱלֹהִ֪ים O God, ʾĕlōhîm אַֽל me not; ʾal תַּעַ֫זְבֵ֥נִי forsake ʿāzab עַד until ʿad אַגִּ֣יד I have shewed nāgad זְרוֹעֲךָ֣ thy strength zĕrôaʿ לְד֑וֹר unto generation, dôr לְכָל to every one kōl יָ֝ב֗וֹא is to come. bôʾ גְּבוּרָתֶֽךָ׃ thy power gĕbûrâ

וְצִדְקָתְךָ֥ Thy righteousness ṣĕdāqâ אֱלֹהִ֗ים also, O God, ʾĕlōhîm עַד very ʿad מָ֫ר֥וֹם high, mārôm אֲשֶׁר who ʾăšer עָשִׂ֥יתָ hast done ʿāśâ גְדֹל֑וֹת great things: gādôl אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים O God, ʾĕlōhîm מִ֣י who like unto thee! mî כָמֽוֹךָ׃ kĕmô

אֲשֶׁ֤ר which ʾăšer הִרְאִיתַ֨נִו׀ hast shewed rāʾâ צָר֥וֹת troubles, ṣārâ רַבּ֗וֹת me great rab וְרָ֫ע֥וֹת and sore raʿ תָּשׁ֥וּב me again, šûb תְּחַיֵּ֑ינִי shalt quicken ḥāyâ וּֽמִתְּהֹמ֥וֹת from the depths tĕhôm הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ of the earth. ʾereṣ תָּשׁ֥וּב again šûb תַּעֲלֵֽנִי׃ and shalt bring me up ʿālâ

תֶּ֤רֶב׀ Thou shalt increase rābâ גְּֽדֻלָּתִ֗י my greatness, gĕdûlâ וְתִסֹּ֥ב me on every side. sābab תְּֽנַחֲמֵֽנִי׃ and comfort nāḥam

גַּם will also gam אֲנִ֤י׀ I ʾănî אוֹדְךָ֣ praise yādâ בִכְלִי thee with the psaltery, kĕlî נֶבֶל֮ nebel אֲמִתְּךָ֪ thy truth, ʾemet אֱלֹ֫הָ֥י O my God: ʾĕlōhîm אֲזַמְּרָ֣ה unto thee will I sing zāmar לְךָ֣ בְכִנּ֑וֹר with the harp, kinnôr קְ֝ד֗וֹשׁ O thou Holy One qādôš יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel. yiśrāʾēl

תְּרַנֵּ֣נָּה shall greatly rejoice rānan שְׂ֭פָתַי My lips śāpâ כִּ֣י when kî אֲזַמְּרָה I sing zāmar לָּ֑ךְ וְ֝נַפְשִׁ֗י unto thee; and my soul, nepeš אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ʾăšer פָּדִֽיתָ׃ thou hast redeemed. pādâ

גַּם also gam לְשׁוֹנִ֗י My tongue lāšôn כָּל all kōl הַ֭יּוֹם the day yôm תֶּהְגֶּ֣ה shall talk hāgâ צִדְקָתֶ֑ךָ of thy righteousness ṣĕdāqâ כִּי long: for kî בֹ֥שׁוּ they are confounded, bûš כִֽי for kî חָ֝פְר֗וּ they are brought unto shame, ḥāpēr מְבַקְשֵׁ֥י that seek bāqaš רָעָתִֽי׃ my hurt. raʿ
