Proverbs 25 - YLT (Oriya)

1 Also these are Proverbs of Solomon, that men of Hezekiah king of Judah transcribed: --ଏଗୁଡ଼ିକ ହେଉଛି ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ରଚିତ ହିତାପଦେେଶ। ଏହି ହିତାପଦେେଶ ଗୁଡ଼ିକ ୟିହୂଦାର ରାଜା ହିଷ୍କୀଯର ଲୋକମାନେ ଲେଖି ଥିଲେ।

2 The honour of God `is' to hide a thing, And the honour of kings to search out a matter.ବିଷଯ ଗୋପନ କରିବା ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ। ଏହି ବିଷଯ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିବା ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଗୌରବ।

3 The heavens for height, and the earth for depth, And the heart of kings -- `are' unsearchable.ଆକାଶର ଉଚ୍ଚତା ପୃଥିବୀର ଗଭୀରତା ପରି ରାଜାଙ୍କର ମନ ରେ କ'ଣ ଅଛି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ବୁଝିପାରିବା ନାହିଁ।

4 Take away dross from silver, And a vessel for the refiner goeth forth,ରୂପାର ଖାଦ କାଢ଼ି ପକାଅ, ତବେେ ସୁନାରି ଏକ ପାତ୍ର ତିଆରି କରିପାରିବ।

5 Take away the wicked before a king, And established in righteousness is his throne.ରାଜାର ଉପସ୍ଥିତିରୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଉପଦେଷ୍ଟାମାନଙ୍କୁ ହଟାଇ ଦିଅ, ତା ହେଲେ ତାଙ୍କର ସିଂହାସନ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ରେ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ହବେ।

6 Honour not thyself before a king, And in the place of the great stand not.ରାଜାର ଛାମୁ ରେ ଆପଣାର ବଡ଼ିମା କର ନାହିଁ। ପ୍ରଧାନ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସମୂହ ରେ ନିଜର ସ୍ଥାନ ପାଇଁ ଦାବି କର ନାହିଁ।

7 For better `that' he hath said to thee, `Come thou up hither,' Than `that' he humble thee before a noble, Whom thine eyes have seen.ଯେଉଁ କୁଳୀନକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଦେଖିଅଛି। ତାହା ଛାମୁ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନୀଚୀକୃତ ହବୋ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ବରଂ ଏଠାକୁ ଆସ ବୋଲି କହିବା ଭଲ।

8 Go not forth to strive, haste, turn, What dost thou in its latter end, When thy neighbour causeth thee to blush?ବିବାଦ କରିବାକୁ ହଠାତ୍ ବାହାରକୁ ୟାଅ ନାହିଁ। ଯଦି କହେି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଭୁଲ୍ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରମାଣିତ କରେ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହବେ।

9 Thy cause plead with thy neighbour, And the secret counsel of another reveal not,ଯଦି ପ୍ରତିବେଶୀ ସହିତ ବିବାଦ ଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମକଦ୍ଦମା ପାଇଁ ତର୍କ କର, କିନ୍ତୁ ଅନ୍ୟର ଗୋପନୀଯତାକୁ ପ୍ରକଟ କର ନାହିଁ।

10 Lest the hearer put thee to shame, And thine evil report turn not back.ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୌଣସି ଲୋକର ଗୋପନୀଯତାକୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ କର, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୁର୍ନାମ ଅର୍ଜ୍ଜନ କରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ଏହି ଦୁର୍ନାମ କବେେ ଦୂର ହବେ ନାହିଁ।

11 Apples of gold in imagery of silver, `Is' the word spoken at its fit times.ଯଥା ସମୟରେ ଉଚିତ୍ କଥା କହିବା ଠିକ୍। ଏକ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣର ସହେି ରୂପାର ରଚାଇ ରଖିବା ପରି।

12 A ring of gold, and an ornament of pure gold, `Is' the wise reprover to an attentive ear.ଯଦି ଜଣେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକର ଗାଳି ପରି ଧ୍ଯାନ ଦିଅ, ଏହା ଖାଣ୍ଟି ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣର ମୁଦିଠାରୁ କିମ୍ବା ସବୁଠୁ ଖାଣ୍ଟି ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣର ଅନ୍ଯାନ୍ଯ ଅଳଙ୍କାରଠାରୁ ମୂଲ୍ଯବାନ ଅଟେ।

13 As a vessel of snow in a day of harvest, `So is' a faithful ambassador to those sending him, And the soul of his masters he refresheth.ଫସଲ ସମୟରେ ହିମର ଶୀଥିଳତା ଯେପରି, ପ୍ ରରକଗେଣ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ବସ୍ତ ଦୂତ ସପରେି। କାରଣ ସେ ଆପଣା କର୍ତ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣ ରେ ଆଶ୍ବାସ ଦିଏ।

14 Clouds and wind, and rain there is none, `Is' a man boasting himself in a false gift.ବୃଷ୍ଟିହୀନ ମେଘ ଓ ବାଯୁ ଯେପରି ଅଟେ, ଦାନ ଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିବା ଏବଂ ନ ଦବୋ ହେଉଛି ଠିକ୍ ସହେିପରି।

15 By long-suffering is a ruler persuaded, And a soft tongue breaketh a bone.ର୍ଧୈୟ୍ଯ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା ମାଧ୍ଯମ ରେ ଜଣେ ଶାସକ ଶାନ୍ତି ଦବେ। ଭଦ୍ର କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଅଧିକ ଭାବରେ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ।

16 Honey thou hast found -- eat thy sufficiency, Lest thou be satiated `with' it, and hast vomited it.ମଧୁ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଉତ୍ତମ। ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆବଶ୍ଯକତାଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ନିଅ ନାହିଁ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଧିକ ଖାଇବ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ହବେ।

17 Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house, Lest he be satiated `with' thee, and have hated thee.ଠିକ୍ ସହେିପରି, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରତିବେଶୀ ଗୃହକୁ ଅଧିକ ୟାଅ ନାହିଁ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏପରି କର ତବେେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଘୃଣା କରିବ।

18 A maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow, `Is' the man testifying against his neighbour a false testimony.ଜଣେ ୟିଏ ତା'ର ପଡ଼ୋଶୀ ବିପକ୍ଷ ରେ ମିଥ୍ଯା ସାକ୍ଷ୍ଯ ଦିଏ, ସେ ଗଦା, ଖଡ୍ଗ ଓ ତୀକ୍ଷ୍ଣ ବାଣ ସ୍ବରୂପ ଭୟଙ୍କର ଅଟେ।

19 A bad tooth, and a tottering foot, `Is' the confidence of the treacherous in a day of adversity.ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶା ସମୟରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସଘାତକ ଲୋକଠା ରେ ପ୍ରତ୍ଯଯେ, ଭଗ୍ନଦନ୍ତ ଓ ଖଞ୍ଜଖସା ଚରଣ ତୁଲ୍ଯ।

20 Whoso is taking away a garment in a cold day, `Is as' vinegar on nitre, And a singer of songs on a sad heart.ଦୁଃଖିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଲୋକ ନିକଟରେ ଖୁସି ଗୀତ ଗାଇବା ଶୀତକାଳ ରେ ବସ୍ତ୍ର କାଢ଼ିନବୋ ଓ ସୋଢା ଉପ ରେ ଅମ୍ଳରସ ମିଶାଇବା ପରି ଅଟେ।

21 If he who is hating thee doth hunger, cause him to eat bread, And if he thirst, cause him to drink water.ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ହେଲେ, ତାହାକୁ ଅନ୍ନ ଭୋଜନ କରାଅ। ସେ ଯବେେ ତୃଷିତ ହୁଏ, ତାହାକୁ ଜଳପାନ କରାଅ।

22 For coals thou art putting on his head, And Jehovah giveth recompense to thee.ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହହାର ମସ୍ତକରେ ଜ୍ବଳନ୍ତ ଅଙ୍ଗାର ରାଶି କରି ଥୋଇବ। ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପୁରସ୍କାର ଦବେେ।

23 A north wind bringeth forth rain, And a secret tongue -- indignant faces.ଯେପରି ଉତ୍ତରୀଯ ବାଯୁ ବୃଷ୍ଟିର ଉତ୍ପାଦକ, ସହେିପରି ଖଚୁଆର ଜିହ୍ବା କୋରଧ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିର ଉତ୍ପାଦକ।

24 Better to sit on a corner of a roof, Than `with' a woman of contentions, and a house of company.କଳିହୁଡ଼ୀ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସଙ୍ଗ ରେ ଏକା ଗୃହ ରେ ବାସ କରିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଛାତର ଏକ କଣ ରେ ବାସ କରିବା ଭଲ।

25 `As' cold waters for a weary soul, So `is' a good report from a far country.ତୃଷିତ ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ଶୀତଳ ଜଳ ଯେପରି, ଦୂର ଦେଶରୁ ଆସିଥିବା ସୁସମାଚାର ସହେିପରି ଅଟେ।

26 A spring troubled, and a fountain corrupt, `Is' the righteous falling before the wicked.ଗୋଳିଆ ଜଳାଶଯ ଓ ମଳିନ ନିର୍ଝର ଯେପରି ଅଟେ, ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଆଗ ରେ ବିଚଳିତ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଠିକ୍ ସହେିପରି ଅଟେ।

27 The eating of much honey is not good, Nor a searching out of one's own honour -- honour.ବହୁତ ମହୁ ଖାଇବା ଯେପରି ଉତ୍ତମ ନୁହେଁ। ସହେିପରି ମନୁଷ୍ଯମାନେ ଆପଣା ଗୌରବ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିବା ଭଲ ନୁହେଁ।

28 A city broken down without walls, `Is' a man without restraint over his spirit!ଜଣେ ୟିଏ ନିଜକୁ ଆଯତ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ଅସମର୍ଥ, ସେ ବିନା ପ୍ରାଚୀରର ନଗର ତୁଲ୍ଯ ଅଟେ।
